  • Gosh what a weird video, you people are kooks, but I like it. I've made the no-knead bread and sourdough with multiple rises and kneading, but I haven't tried no-knead sourdough yet. I've made long shape no-knead loaves without a pot. One way is to just flop your final dough onto the hot baking stone and cover with a large casserole dish. The pots are just to create steam though, so, if you just put a pan of water, use a mister or even throw water in the oven to create mist, no cover is needed.

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggggghh!

  • This video is ......different? creepy? funny? I'm just not sure how to explain it but I've tried the bread after watching this video and it's GREAT just like the video shows. Thanks SO much for such an easy recipe.

  • I just started baking and sourdough is my favorite bread...

but 15+ hours is way too long of a project... not to mention maintaining the starter and so on...

At least now I know $4 a loaf is worth it at the bakery ^_^

  • @DannyAces want a easier method? add 1 cup flour to 1 cup room temp beer, stir and keep in oven overnight, follow same steps as her after. wheat beer = starter as long as you pour off top 4oz, swirl and add the remaining 8oz.

  • good thing I'm on LSD, otherwise this video would really fuck me up...

  • I just made this and the bread turned out great. Thanks!

  • Looks like living organisms all over her kitchen.

  • GOD*

  • 0_o gos is peaking to me!

  • WHY ARE YOU BAKING IN A STADIUM

  • @caj47 hahahhahaha the echo is killing me too, but damnit! I wanna know how to make some SD bread!

  • are you speaking from another dimension ? spooky

  • Would have been a good video, except for the spooky bits! Why??

  • done watching. questions! i bought a terra cotta dish from lowe's, after washing it, oiling it up, and heating it can i bake the dough directly on the surface? also, does it need to be covered with a lid using this specific method?

  • Love the recipe! My bread is getting burnt on bottom however. Any suggestions? Thanks

  • Not sure why you are getting insulted for your video, it helped me a lot! Thanks!

  • OMG, that made my day. Has anyone been brave enough to click on the 'eliminate the impossible' website at the end????

  • @MsArtemis65 I did- its nothing- an available domain. ??? I was so disappointed.

  • @lakewindy2 is that what's going on here? i did try the recipe and it is good.

  • @ThomasDeanNordlum oh, i see them now. leave the dough to rise . . .

  • Tried this recipe. Bread came out very nice . I'm keeping mother alive and will not let her die !!

Love the trippy Mr Rogers music !!!

  • Do away with the special effects and someone might actually enjoy the video

  • I'm not sure if I'm hungry, or need to sacrifice a small animal.

  • you said,"wicked hot".... are you from Maine?

  • Wth :/

  • WARNING! Watching this video may kill your organisms.

  • How many bodies does the OP have buried in his back yard? 1-2-3?

  • omg, LOL! This is so insanely bizarre and scary and I can't stop laughing!!! Really good recipe though, I'm going to try it.

  • do you need to grease the baking dish?

  • sourdough baking meets horror movie

  • I thought this was scary until it hit 7:24 ...then I about shit my pants! WTF?!?!?

  • @jennjames71 omg!!!1! LMAOROFL - I just spewed my coke all over my laptop! OMG, I must be really tired because I can't stop laughing at that!!

  • Creepy but informative

  • @Angelbunnydarling lol, yeah, it's like I just woke up from a coma...

  • Your recipe doesn't say how much weed you added? And after watching this video I know there was some weed in there.

  • Despite all the creepiness (aka retarded production) of this shit, I was compelled to close the video when you measured flour by volume. As Michael Scott would say, NOOOOOOOOO. NOOOOOO. NOOOO PLEASE GOD. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Great recipe! But something about this video just gives me the creeps... I keep waiting for "Spirits, spirits, hear me well! Give me a sign by the ringing of a bell!!! (ding-ding-ding) =c

  • owhat just happened?

  • ...."it puts the puppy in the bucket...."

  • I think I popped a bubble. Help!!!! I'm scared. What do I do??? And I forgot to open the oven door when I was trying to put the pot inside. Thanks for the reminder.

  • I don't know how I'm going to sleep after seeing the HAND. What was that? And what's with the hairy arms? I think there's a hidden message in there. Like the Beatles and Magic Roundabout. Art House Horror Production.

  • Bread looks great. Never had Sour Dough bread from beyond the Grave cooked by one of the cast members of True Blood. Thank you. Enjoyed it.

  • I want t claw my eyes out.....but I also want some bread....guess I make the bread first then use a creepy jelley hand to claw my eyes. WTF? really WTF just happend to me?

  • Never have I ever watched a recipe video and felt creeped out like I am am right now. Whats with the echo, the editing, quotes, jelly hand, and demon voice?

  • This bread is awesome!!! I baked some for my wife. After her first bite she immediately turned into a demon, became engulfed in flames, and went to hell. Just in time for football season.

  • sad vid man, never heard sour dough make that kinda noise when you cut it, wow, am listening to her now and got a stange desire to drop some acid???

  • Is that like the video in the move "The Ring"? Am I going to die in five days because I watched that? All I wanted was to learn how to make sourdough. The hand at the end really scared me.

I guess I should go make sourdough RIGHT NOW, before I die in some horriible way like that horse in "The Ring".

  • .....I wanted sourdough bread, not satan bread :P

  • almost like watching SAW, Lol

  • whats with the creepy voice and jelly hand WTF, lol

  • jesus christ

  • You know how people show 'two girls and a cup' to people for their reactions. Well I showed this to my wife and she had the same reaction. BUT the recipe worked out OK, I added 1 cup of Whole meal flour to the 2 cups of white flour and also let it rest for 90 minutes before cooking.

  • you are such a creepy kook (sounds like "kuke", not "kuk"), I would NEVER eat anything you offered, or explained how to cook. What a freak.

  • This was really the easiest recipe for sourdough I have seen, but what`s up with that music?

  • I love this crazy bitch.

  • What the fuck is happening? Why is there a piano being tuned in the background? Why does this bitch sound like she's recorded audio for a cult recruitment video? Why are her arms so hairy? What the fuck is up with the flashing images? Why does God allow this shit to be made?

  • I guess she found the 'MASSIVE UNIVERSE HYPNOSIS REVERB' audio filter then.....

  • lol, this is so creepy

  • Also, what the hell is up with that hand? What freaks me out more is that it looks like that's a child operating it... freaky.

  • Your ability to creepify a bread recipe astounds me. Truly astounding.

    And also delicious.

Though I don't think I'll ever be able to look at bread the same...

  • Dude they should replace the puppet in Saw with this lady making bread

  • I thought it was a video from funeral... D:

  • I am a lil freaked out by this video.

  • What's wi the crap piano music and the echo in the voice?

  • OK, now I can't sleep

  • wicked video! ....weird.....but interesting

  • could i use stale unfiltered beer for starter?

  • She uses a metal spoon to mix the hooch of the starter - don't use metal!! A wooden spoon, just like in the days of yore.

  • what the fuck did i just watch

  • @DrFlaccidJohnson hahahahahahahahaha

  • Wicked Hot!

  • god what the fuck is with the voice turned me off this idear of making sourdough

  • @OldRelayer, these instructions as well as Jim Lahey's, do not include a proofing rise. After you have folded the dough, you have to let it sit for another 1-2 hours until the dough has approximately doubled in size. All my loaves were too dense before I did this. Put a terry cloth t-towel into a bowl and sprinkle wheat bran over the towel, so the dough doesn't stick to it. Also, make sure the outer surface of the dough is well floured before proofing. Good luck!

  • Followed the directions, I had nice bubbly starter which is suppose to be good. My dough didn't rise at all. So I went ahead and baked it as instructed, it cooked very fast, the crust is great but the crumb is very thick so it would be because it didn't rise. I am guessing it is all in the starter, but I don't know what to look for or how long to keep feeding it.

    Thanks,

    Barry

  • come to think of it, the background music is quite extraordinary. but i like the instructions very much. clear and precise

  • It turns scary at 3:25.

  • OK - I tried this twice. I can't seem to get it to work. Bread ends up tasting great but it is far too dense. Tried the traditional method just now and it is great. 2 cups of starter, which I had fed and left out all day. I made the dough a bit more dry, kneaded it, let it rise overnight, kneaded gently again, let it double in size a second time and baked on a stone (with a tray of boiling water in the bottom of the oven). Worked out much better.

  • This is the best procedure I've tried since I started making SD bread. The video could be updated with better music or none at all.

  • This truly is the easiest sourdough recipe I have ever come across. Easier even than the NY Times. I'm trying it out right now.

I have to admit thought that I might be too scared to eat it. What does that mean, "Eliminate the impossible"???!!!

  • one word : PSYCHO!

  • I make this bread every week! I use organic whole wheat flour for my starter and unbleached wheat bread flour. I cook the bread in a covered glass loaf dish. So easy and so good! I take a picture of every loaf - I am so proud of my bread.

  • Oh my, that "music" is awful!!! The bread is great I'm sure.

  • I don't think I want to make sourdough bread anymore.

  • What an extraordinary video. I am too scared to make the bread now, I think it would be cursed.

  • argahahahaghagaghaghagahgahagha, very funny video:D

    and great recipe!

  • yes. not fan of the horror style of the movie.

but tried the bread recipe. got beautiful, incredible tasty bread. So thumbs up for this!

  • so scary! I agree LOL. If it is not in this style I might try this recipe out.

  • This should have been called:

WORLD'S SCARIEST AND BEST SOURDOUGH BREAD, the 1-2-3 method

Wow, I keep waiting on a ghost to jump out from the dough. I am freaked out now!

  • God? Are you teaching me how to make sourdough bread?

  • @vivaDanielle lol! xDD

  • Maybe lift your foot off the sustain pedal once in awhile.

And what's all the reverb on the woman's voice?

The collage is crazy. "Impossibly" crazy.

But.. with that said, I'd like to chow down on a slice of that delicious looking sourdough.

    :)

  • It's like making the last meal for a prisoner on the way to the gallows.

  • @raficsulejmanovic bravo...your comment is hilarious!

  • WHO THE FUCK MAKES A BREADMAKING VIDEO THAT LOOKS LIKE THIS

    I WANT MY MOTHER

  • @haveadot Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!!

  • Ghost bread ...lol

  • Are you a serial killer? This is like watching Silence of the Lambs.

  • sourdough from the afterlife, what a bizarre video????

  • Comment removed

  • Where did you get that crock from?

  • I think the piano in this is FANTASTIC!

Well someone must like it other than me?

And will give the bread making a try one day soon, I'm new to bread making, and have tried my own cultivated yeast from black berries, yummy!

    :D

  • Could I bake this in a cast iron dutch oven ?

  • I leave this page with innumerable doubts about my safety. I will likely not recover for weeks. The creators of this video have accomplished what the horror movie industry has tried to accomplish for nearly one hundred years: A concise film so riddled with terror that it makes one question not only their humanity, but their safety even outside the world of the film. I will never look at the world the same way again, and am now unsure what I am going to do with my life.

  • Much to my dismay, my thirst for knowledge forced me to continue the already horrifying video. It was no surprise that the video continued to evoke the unadulterated roots of horror in my soul. I can not understand why there was reverb on the voice in the first place, but for some unknowable reason, a satanic sounding distortion was added at the end, right after the appearance of the hand that i can only assume was once human, possibly taken from one of the victims of this sourdough cult.

  • I had to stop watching this because I was consumed by terror. I became convinced half way through that i had died and was being informed of all my earthly wrongs in this life. As much as i would like to possess the knowledge in this video, i unfortunately must walk away both unenlightened as to the mysteries of sourdough, and completely and utterly horrified.

  • WTF I turned it off this was scary what's with the weird hand and satanic voice at the end ?!? o_0

  • you can also get sourdough from someones pants XD

  • I love this video.

  • rofl interesting way to make a vid... steam punk, goth, or paegans lol but ty for the info minus the end wow... ass sashaCC01 said "White people" lmao

  • Marilyn Manson couldn't have done it better.

  • wow you must have a very big kitchen its all echoey lol

  • I-o-dinated is not a word, just so you know.

  • huh? freaky!

  • I never realized how creepy making bread could be...

  • I've been wondering how to make my sourdough bread like this and now i know. Thanks so much!!!!!!

  • white people

  • Have you ever done this in a shallow cast iron pan such as a 5 quart? Or do you need all that head room?

  • all cooking shows should be filmed in this manner. It would make the Food Network much more entertaining! Creepy...

  • piano genius!

  • what sound effects did you use to make this creepy

  • Im scared!

  • Woah, easy on the reverb there!

  • Y'know, I was fine with the creep factor until the last reminder with the hand and the crazy voice...then it went from 'mildly, yet amusing creepy' to 'uncomfortable creepy'.

    Good recipe though. :D

  • Got this same recipe from another web site. No scary creepy music and I used my Cast Iron dutch oven, it was marvelous!

  • Kind of like Satan's Bakery, scary. Why all the demon pictures and evil voices? Very scary. The bread looks good, can it be chewed? Sounded like cutting a brick when sliced. Amazing that it's so simple...and evil.

  • Wow, the intro and outro gave me a strong urge to kill my loved ones. They must contain sublliminal messages, Lol.

  • Um. Well, I've never in my life thought that a recipe for making bread....or anything for that matter, could be creepy but you changed that.

  • Wow... "The Ring" has nothin' on you.

  • after the nightmares subsided, i really enjoyed the bread. Thanks?

  • wwwwwwooooooohhhhhhh creepy recipe man!!! i loled hard at you must eliminate the impossible

  • what's with the echo?

  • voice is very creepy

  • holy shit im high thats fucking it no more weed for me

  • Have you ever had your container explode. I put the sour dough in a jar that was at least a quarter of an inch thick of glass. Nothing was left but the base of the jar. I painfully stumbled upon pieces of glass for about a month.

  • Don't have pots, can i just put it on a sheet pan or cast iron skillet?

  • Is that a ceramic tile in your oven? Where did you get it?

  • This is way better than Blue Velvet. Candy coated Clowns!!!

  • not THAT easy...

  • Great recipe , gonna try it tomorrow if it doesnt kill me.....totally freaked out by the end of the clip.

  • @RiCoHeTMcQuEeN I make a ton of sourdough, usually leaving my starter out at room temperature 24/7 because I use it so often. My Dad makes a ton of wine and beer, usually having a few different kegs of stuff bubbling away in the kitchen.

There hasn't been any problem for us yet. The thing about sourdough is that it will usually fend for itself as long as you keep it fed and thriving. The particular yeast/lactobacillus culture in a well-maintained sourdough will crowd out most other yeasts.

  • I will be afraid to eat that bread, this video CREEPYS-me out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Lets call it THE HALLOWEEN BREAD"

  • the creepiness of this video really detracts from the credibility of your cooking skill...

  • Your video is amazing video and it's better then my recipe. Here's my video

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!

  • I think this video is making me a little trippy,

  • Eliminate the impossible. ROCK ON!

  • Just made this & eating it now!!!

  • This Is what happens when a failed horror film director ends up in culinary school. LOL

     The bread better be good!

  • I Tried this today and it was GREAT only slight problem charred underside of bread,

but crust nice and tasty + good crumb inside, I will try this again..... yum !

  • Excellent recipe and instructions, the first time I am completely satisfied with the results. Thank you!

  • Echo...Echo..echo

  • Really seems impossible, but really it´s DELICIUS!!!! I've made it several times and it´s allways great! Congratulatios (eventhoug the video is kind of wired)

  • It's especially creepy when you say words like KILL lol

  • Tell the Grim Reaper that his sourdough is done.

  • @steviessmith

    ahahahah

  • really creepy, haunted bread

  • Creepy with the hand thing...

  • Eye-odinated?

    Sounds... Norse.

  • I really loved the recipe and was impressed by the technique, but for the love of god, please have some other music as by the end of the video, my ears were bleeding and I can't stop twitching.

  • I like it, but it was kind of scary waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa the presentation I meant

  • Was I just brainwashed? Thanks for the information on sourdough, I don't think I'll ever forget a single step on this video.

  • Excellent video, every aspect of it.

  • top stuff

  • Wheres Jigsaw?
