  • 1 person in this world is looking for someone to follow around

  • @LongviewRocks speak for yourself. I actually feel bad for the 'fans' that says that kind of things about such a great album as TKOL

  • Love how this song comes alive the moment jonny picks up his guitar.

  • Is this song not even on any of their EPs or singles? It's so good. D:

  • @LongviewRocks I agree with you in one point: its a shame that a great song like this one never had been properly published, like many others who are constantly on the concert lineups.

But if you listen to Radiohead long enough, you'll realize that they simply cannot be cast in one genre. They're always trying new things, keeping their sound fresh. Sometimes it pleases a lot of people (Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows) sometimes it doesn't (Amnesiac, King of Limbs). But that's why they are great!

  • @LongviewRocks What album did you listen to?!

  • @LongviewRocks that's purely subjective, I happen to like The King of Limbs quite a bit, about as much as Kid A.... while I think In Rainbows was definitely better... but Limbs has more of that downbeat and experimentive tone in it than most of Radiohead's albums, and those are the Radiohead songs I like the most

if you're one of the Radioheads that like a more rock orientated sound I can see where you're a bit dissappointed, but they're just catering to a different album with Limbs.

  • sounds like nirvana

  • My favorite Radiohead song. I harbor the sad suspicion that they've moved so far past it that it'll never see an official release.

  • @JoyGrenade, regretfully, I agree with you. Yet this and quite a number of other unreleased gems are some of their greatest songs

  • This has to be on the King of Limbs

  • Wow ;') THAT made me tab my very first song! And THAT made me buy Meeting People is Easy. I've listened to the sample and I just had to buy it <3 <3 <3

  • radiohead saved me.

  • I wish they would release this song. not a studio version, this one minus all of the interviews.

  • @YoshimizRobots yea same thoughts. that would be fucking awesome. this stunning version sums up all the emotion in me, its just magic.

  • the saviours

  • youve got a teletubbies watch on. OH GOD JONNY IS THE KING OF EVERYTHING ALL OF THE TIME

  • This is in dropped D?

  • @TheHunion ja

  • anybody else find it frustrating that they interrupt such a great song with interview segments?

  • @cynthiailly I think it adds to the song. It highlights what the song is about.

  • @cynthiailly yes i do. this is the best version of the song i've heard but the interview interrupts it

  • i can't wait for their next album!!

  • @russianpickaxe I agree that Muse should have done the Twilight track, they both suck. Muse isn't fit to hold Radiohead's bogroll.

  • @russianpickaxe Go chug a liter of vodka, or should I say chug another liter of vodka. You're obviously inebriated.

  • I think they didn't release this because thom wanted to keep this one to himself not lose another song like he lost creep.

  • Does anybody know where I can find this TAB ? Song is so brilliant!!!

  • Follow Me Around is to Radiohead as Blind Willie McTell is to Bob Dylan.

  • you have to be a moron to think muse can be in the same league with radiohead.

  • Radiohead is to Muse as Harry Potter is to Twilight. And I mean the books, if you mention that Thom Yorke did a song for the Twilight movie.

  • can someone figure out what jonny and the interview girl are saying, starting at 2:39

  • @BuddyWillis Jonny says "you have a tellytubbies watch on"

  • she starts to ask him a question about ok computer and then becomes too nervous to continue. Then he makes a comment on what type of watch she's wearing to ease her nerves

  • stop fucking talking about muse

  • Comment removed

  • It kind of sounds like the new one, "Lotus Flower."

  • he didnt get thumbs down cause people hate country he got thumbs down cause this doesnt really classify as country genre.

  • Theres nothing wrong with country, I personally dont care for mainstream country. Great musicians like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young.....well nearly everyone, had a few country influenced songs!

  • Did you lie to us Tony??????

  • I don't get trolls.

Muse are good though. Bellamy may not be Thom Yorke or Jonny Greenwood, but he does have some taste and skills.

I prefer their earlier stuff. Yes, inspired by guitar-driven Radiohead, but not exclusively (there is Jeff Buckley in there, and Jimi Hendrix)

  • even Muse are in awe of Radiohead . . pease don't insult embarrass yourself

  • agreed, but muse and radiohead are very diferent bands radiohead make music really for listening to yourself while muse write music to bend your brain while your in a feild with thousands of people, ive seen both live many times and for me muse are the better option to see live radiohead are the best option to listen to at home, just my take on it : )

  • Perhaps you should atleast listen to a song that has been recorded and put on an album before judging them?

  • wow you really are a troll.

I love muse, but have you listened to their new album? It's painful.

  • Shoulda been a single.

  • and now it sounds alot like his/their new song Lotus Flower

  • is it just me or does the guitar riff sound exactly like the into to R.E.M.'s "Drive"?

  • it does

  • but i still love it, dam im a RH fan

  • nothin wrong with that

  • WHAT IS A COUNRTY?

  • Radiohead really need to make another documentary. MPIE is kinda painful to watch sometimes, it was filmed in what seems like their darkest and most stressful days. although the album is critacally acclaimed, a lot of the interviewers treat it as a saviour to the manic depressive's, and in turn constantly refer to depression in the interviews, which I'm sure became incredibly tiresome for Thom and co. Radiohead seem a lot more jovial and happy these days. I'd like to see another documentary.

  • @wurble Check out the most gigantic lying mouth of all time

  • @wurble yeah, i totally agree. esp about the whole negative vibe they had cus it was filmed during 1997, which in glastonbury 97 is when they almost quit, as of course u hear thom talking about it starting around 1:53.

  • @wurble

i stopped reading after u said 'stressful days'

... do u appreciate that kid a and amnesiac came out of this dark period.

    i hope u do

  • @youllgrowonme You'll have missed my main point then.

  • @wurble I thought the documentary wasn't open enough. I don't want a jovial Radiohead, I want a Radiohead open about what their songs mean and how they feel about their place in the world.

  • @wurble To be honest i liked that it was so depressing, not that you want non radiohead fans having another excuse to call them depressing but the documentary was amazing.

  • @iamthebubb Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't change a thing a thing about MPIE. But I would like to see Radiohead do another docu type film. I think the mood of it would be completely different this time around. They've all grown up and seem a lot more comfortable with themselves and where they're at.

  • @wurble Amen !!!

  • Haha, jonnys slide guitar bit at the end there sounds like a duck.

  • colin always looks so bored lol

  • uhh, i've never noticed that, which minute exactly is it?

  • it's at 1:10:28 in the movie if you have it.

  • yeah, I know, the teletubbies are cute

  • AMAZING!!!

  • this song is cooL!

  • anyone spot those guys hugging at like 1:23? haha

  • Really want to know what book Jonny is reading....

  • Yeah I know..

  • he s not reading, he's trying to work out a song on paper.

    composing.

  • It seems like some of their best stuff is unreleased like Big Boots, maybe those will be on the new album ;D they're in the studio.

  • according to ed they are dead :(

    butcha never know! :)

  • 'meeting people is easy' is an excellently put together film and this song is absolutely gorgeous

  • well, 2 chords is the most basic way you can play it, but there's more to it than 2 chords.

  • still, it a musically simple song =D I guess the words really make the diference in it, the lyrics are terrific

  • check out how he played it at Latitude, there are some videos, and its fantastic, he made the guitar more interesting and it sounds great

  • How have radiohead not released this tune properly? I'd love to get a copy of this version without the mpie intrerviews. Such a good tune....too good!

  • If you messaged me your email I have multiple versions of this song in good quality with no interviews or anything!

  • @bingstar316 Here you are chum, a quicker Thom Yorke solo version from a gig they did in 2003 on the HTTT tour. Second to last song in the encore, followed by Everything in It's Right Place. Amazing night. Worth trying to find a download of the whole thing, as it was broadcast on Xfm.

    megaupload[dot]com/?d=XZSVGQYI (remove the space!)

  • @notjustahatrack Hey do you by any chance have a link to their song Lift? because i Love that song. And thanks for this link as well.

  • @RuleTheRadio23 I did some job over Lift (1996), and it looks almost a studio version :) If you send me an e-mail, I can send you

  • This is just so ambient yet ruthless...only Radiohead...only Radiohead :) magic

  • I love how it turns into awesomeness.

  • don't all their songs? [except, of course, for the ones that start out with awesomeness...]

  • Jonny is amazing. Wounder what book it is...

  • who knows what the guitar is tuned to?

  • dadgbd

  • brilliant, tuning now

  • It's called drop D ;-)

  • i'm not a professional, but drop d (on the tab sites i;ve been to) is generally tuning the low e to d. this is more than that.

  • it could be D standard.

  • it's drop d

  • yess yess. yup.

  • yea jonny reading, wow. jonny is the man.

  • downlaod utorrent...

once you got it type in Towering The Rest...ther should be about 10 discs.

  • Cool, thank you!

  • whoops it's Towering Above the Rest sorry.

  • teletubbies.

  • when will they release this onto an album? This & Big Boots (Man-o-War), Lift (fast version) & True Love Waits. Not that it matters if they are commercially released - it won't make them better songs - just that they deserve to be released as much as anything else they've done because these 4 songs all amongst their greatest songs (hard choice).

  • @sodacakeblues We've already got "True Love Waits". I feel that just like with "My Iron Lung" (the version on 'The Bends' is the same one featured in the 'Live at the Astoria' concert, if you weren't aware), I don't think a studio version could match the live version's brilliance. It's not too hard to find an mp3 of the Pinkpop '96 version of "Lift" if you look for it, and again, I don't think that could be topped by a studio version. As for the other two, I agree, they need to be released.

  • @sodacakeblues

True Love Waits is on Kid A disc 2 for the deluxe, but i think those songs are quite nice hidden away treats.

  • I think the title "follow me around" is about the camera crew that followed them on their OK Computer tour for the making of this film.

  • did he write it during the making of the film?

  • most probably yes.

  • Not sure if anyone commented on this, but Radiohead commissioned Grant Gee to make this film.

  • You know... they've been in the recording studio ever since in rainbows came out, and this did show up on their last tour... a new EP maybe?

  • Haha nice name man. The world's first analrapist

  • probably not

  • q buen tema simplemente

  • es sencillo, triste, y hermoso

    soy mazoquista con este tema

    "I feel absolutely nothing

the words are out of ink"

  • Heh, Jonny always changes slower songs up with some crazy electric love. He did it with Creep too. He's amazing.

  • right on!

check out You and whose army live at canal+

  • you've got a tella tubbies watch on...?haaha classic

  • probably the best of their unreleased songs. only radiohead could have something like this and not really do anything with it. a lot of bands would kill to have this song in their catalogue

  • ah god they're so good i can't stand it!! please release an album with follow me around, big boots, true love waits and others like it! i'm begging you! that was the best era!

  • And Fog, amazing sounds of orgy, cuttooth, transatlantic drawlm, palo alto

  • You have no idea what you are talking about.

    Stop, please. Just stop.

  • unbelievable

  • i see you in the dark, falling down the fast lane, coming after me yeh! brilliant song. thanks

  • F'ing ridiculous. Yorke at his best.

  • So glad you've uploaded this; it was up before but was removed. Really hope that this (and this version) makes it on the new album!

  • I love MPIE. I just wish there was a recording of this version of the song without all the talk over. For some reason the bass of Thom's acoustic hits harder in here than anywhere else I've heard it. It's F&*king awesome.

  • he played it live once. and theres a recording

  • Yeah, I have it. His guitar just sounds way better here for some reason though.
