  • eselente arte amigos gracias

  • if that woman is equally involved in the process (she was shown mixing glaze and cutting pots), why does this video completely ignore anything she might have to say to talk to her husband? like what, women should be seen and not heard? come the hell on.

  • @MangoMustang HAHA, I started on RC helicopter 2 hours ago into UAV flying over a bunch off stuff and now just finished a video of clay pottery.

  • very cute

  • those are beautiful works. I think I will incorporate the idea into my pinch pots... and thank you for putting beauty out there to be enjoyed.

  • is that a marble colred slip on the pot? and how do u get such exact dimonds do u use measurements???

  • This is a lovely video!!! I want to get to that point where I'm not concentrating on it like he said...I'll keep practicing : )

  • Suggestion: Fire up your furnace and made some glass. Blow a ball inside your finished pot (which WOULD hold water), and I'll bet that would be popular too.

  • I misd doing it......nice work

  • how do you put the candle in it ? :)

  • @23yogini under the carving/pot. duh?

  • I thought that narrator was doing a parody in the first part of the video.

But I have nothing but respect for the potter... Amazing work!

  • My grandaddy made pots and grandmother would cut out some like this--and they are so neat----she also painted on the slip designs and did scraffitti on some---I've been thinking about making some pottery myself someday myself--we use to go to creeks and we floated washtubs down the creek with innertubes around them and dug clay with pickaxes and shovels--a really neat experience in the summertime---I remember how cool and nice the creek was and how colorful the clay was that we dug--neat!

  • buitifull artwork

  • A lovely therapeutic addiction - from one addict to another!

    (-:

  • Great pieces!

  • Magnificent! Makers of beauty!

  • Interesting

  • @blackphonetic1 Ja. you'r right I like Craft and that's pity someone still holds such a prejudice that art is only painting.

  • Storebought clay? Or hand-dug?

  • @digdugdiggy looks like hand dug.

  • I'm going to a Bruce Metcalf lecture here in town on Thursday! From what I've heard about him, he's a militant craftsman that believes craft should be taught entirely separately from art!

  • Muy hermoso

  • Something tells me this guy liked to carve pumpkins as a kid

  • Very nice shapes which are beautiful whether they are cut or uncut, but I like the idea of light coming from earthen vessels, it is a spiritual creation.

  • i hate when they call ceramics a craft its art as well

  • i assume you went to artschool

  • @123fben both is okay it doesn't matter~~~~ maybe they know ceramics only from the tiles in toilet or the ones under their food.

  • one of my classmates likes to do that in art class. I do agateware mostly, but might do some carving with my agateware in the future

  • Lovely items, inspiring :)

  • I don't understand how people throw with rings on...I just can't!

  • i use my palms more than my actual fingers so that shouldnt be a problem for me, but then again i dont wear rings

  • I can't either! I always have to take all my jewelry off.

Maybe after doing for years and years we'll be able to :-)

  • @noxvet Haha same, I tried with my class ring on, but the sculpted palm side roughed up the bowl texture =[[[

  • @noxvet you cant throw without rings either fatass fucker

  • how do you get the candle or light in?

  • the piece is cut near the bottom so you can pull it off and put the candle in.

  • My school teaches this in ceramics class. I didn't know it was uncommon.

  • there is a difference between a crafter and an artist, but what this guy is doing is alittle of both. By the way, both are fun to do.

  • I get thumbs down for quoting the video?

  • nice.

  • I love your waterless pots.

    Rhonda from Australia

  • this is a normal tecnique in albania... an ancient one

  • ahahah mi sembrava una canzone dei Finley dal titolo xD

  • Wish I could find some beautiful pots like these in Australia. I would love to have one.

  • nice, i bought a surgical knife to try this out

  • you are a great insperation, keep up the good work

  • They're beautiful!

  • I love this its beautiful i wish we could have tried something like this in my art class we did do carving on pots but not like this...

  • Extremely beautiful pottery!

  • how bout putting glas in the holes?

  • Молодцы

  • his experience and free style sculptures are amazing...thanks

  • Loved them all!!! I want one with a dragon...

  • Oh.. my god.

  • This creativity

  • bravi! 5/5

  • I really liked all of them.

  • How do you get the candles in the ones that are sealed at top ?!?! Awesome work!!

  • they are open at the underside? :)

  • If you look closely, there's a line where the pots are carved in half. They come apart like a lid off a pot.

  • Possibly so that the light source can be inserted.

  • Look at all that pot!

    Pretty nifty.

    [:

  • Wow. I would love to own a piece of art like this. I didn't know this was an option for pottery - it's quite lovely. I appreciate that it's made by one or two people and not a machine.

  • i really love this......my art teacher was lookin on youtube for some neat stuff.....and she came acrossed your work here....we have been trying it out.....i am right now covered in dry clay from tryin this out after school.....and i came acrossed your work and i just had to comment that i love it.....i made my bubble tonight out of mixed clay....red white and gray.....it looks nice.....but...i couldn't get the top shut....i tryed twice today....i will soon get it....i love it very much...thanks

  • They didn't claim they were the first to do this - why the criticizm? Nice craftmanship and nice video.

  • these type of pots have been used by Chinese since the Han dynasty, and they use it for burning incense

  • these pots are amazing but the idea of these are original from oaxaca, mexico from a small town called san bartolo coyotepec,

  • those pots make my heart happy

  • You should go see a doctor and get that checked out...

  • Texas people are really busy

    lol

  • ah sigh, i would not have that kind of motivation to do it over again and again. unless it's different each time thumbs down for me

  • if you really want to be impressed google:

    Peter t Wang

Look at his double walled vessels.

He uses a computer program to tessellate and morph his cut out designs to make amazing stuff.

  • that's so interesting. i love texas.

  • great .. love it

  • i'm enjoying these videos, but the narrators voice is MOST annoying

  • beautiful, wish i could do it too

  • No, really, that doesn't hold too much water :)

  • mmmm...ma che sete tutti inglesi?? però cacchio!! è proprio bravo quello!!!

  • Great video and beautiful Pottery.

    Thanks a lot!

  • That narrator almost seemed to take issue with his work there- what with the juxtaposition of the soaked sponge with the words "water shortage," and frequent use of the word "useless."

  • Oh this is fantastic. I want to do this. It seems to flow with poetry from the soul. I love your vids, I just found you and you have been awesome. This video about the soul from the clay is something very special. We all learn something new daily.

  • Another good video! Thanks for posting it!
