I dont understand-why should you buy an addon airplane for FSX just for flying around and shooting at nowhere??

Better you can fly with a more detailed P-38 in Il-2 Sturmovik and shoot down enemy planes...and the damage model is MUCH better..

I love this bird. Refered to as the Forked-Tailed-Devil by Japanese pilots, she had the bite of the devil, 4 or 6 .50's and a 20mm will do short work to any wooden Zero. Just has Richard Bong. He had a field day with them. One of the things I really loved in any Flight sim is how stable the platform is. The Counter rotating engines gave it a very smooth and almost yawless flight from what I have been told from pilots at the Confed. AF at Falon field. Damn I would have loved to have flown her.

god i love how all you guys are like yeah im runnin fsx with 2 280gtx's and a P4 and gettin 30-90 FPS. FUCK THAT. THE GRAPHICS CARD HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS SIMULATOR! SO STOP BITCHING ABOUT WHAT GRAPHICS CARD YOU SHOULD GET. you really do need a intel core 2 duo at 3.2ghz or higher or a (quad) at 3.0 ghz is best. so the point is, all you need t run fsx at ulta high wit no traffic is a graphics card (512 mb) card with a kick-ass processor and 4gb ram. oh and i recommend vista 64-bit.

That is precisely why I run an E8400 at 3.6 and can get 90 FPS all the time with no big deal. Of course, if I am recording it is lower. Some choose to make a big argument out of nothing sometimes...

I think his computer just lags a little bit because of fraps. If you check his computer specs then you would see that it is a pretty impresive PC

ya i know, but fraps doesnt usualy do anything to his FPS as far as i can tell on his other videos. the a/c doesnt look THAT good either to me, not because of his graphics setting but just because it is lacking

Fraps did not affect me for this video.  It is an upload issue as well as a YT bit rate issue.

If you watch in HD you will see YT has cut the bit rate of the video or the FPS of the video. I record at a solid 35-45 FPS depending on what I set it at in Fraps.

I've got SLI 9800 GTX KO 512 MB cards - they are the best for FSX. Why would you say that? The FPS in the video is very good - 35-45. If you watch in HD, YouTube cuts the FPS or bit rate so it looks laggy...

Check out the new intel nehalem. The 940 and the Evga X58 motherboard will give you max framerates, even with the graphics turned all the way up.

Data online as well as benchmarks show the new hardward does not run FSX any better than my setup. Part of that relates to the graphics drivers.

With acceleration pack, (that contains the service packs) which allows the use of multi-cores , the nehalem actually speeds thing up quite a bit. Your video cards are good, although FSX doesn't take advantage of SLI. Just something to look into.

There are some good videos on Youtube showing how to overclock. Search youtube for your CPU and Motherboard that way the Bios they're using will be similar if not the same as yours.
