Seger released this song on one of his earliest albums---i believe it's called "early seger" ( sometime in the 70's )

Tom Waits originally wrote and performed it and I think his version sounds terrible and he's an awful singer. Rod Stewart covered it and I thought that was a great version back in the late 80s or early 90s. Seger was originally going to release this then but heard Rod Stewart was doing his version and did not release his until recently.

You should have gone to Nashville or Detroit. Many Seger Friends got to go back stage. I went in Detroit. Seger doesn't stay after the performance. He never does. i met Nita.
