  • I would love to see the uncut version of the 2 movies D:

  • this is so sad! :'(

  • Dang you Zira..

  • oh my gosh... this would have made this movie so much more emotional for me. I wish they would have put this scene in.

  • Nuka!! NOOOOOOO

  • Nuka "Well, I finaly got your attention didn't I?" Zira smiles.

  • :'(

  • i cried...

  • WHY ARE YOU ALL SURPRISED THEY CUT ALL THE GOOD SHIT OUT? They put the morning report and those stupid ass bloopers on the first one after some years. The new dick faces from disney want to make everything look cheesy because they're shitty assholes who want money from parents. They're fucking the lion king. Theyre fucking their awful cheesyness into it. Poisoning it. Stupid ass fools, what they NEED to do is show kids where there fast food comes from. Maybe that will make them better people wh

  • @Inyoureyes911 HELL YAH!!

  • @BlackMoon705 Haha, I didn't have enough room to finish, but, thank you for agreeing with me. It's true, they're trying to hide human children from violence when their giving them animal torture to eat. They're trying to keep them away from evil when they're to selfish to realize that they're acting evil.

  • this was better I think, it goes more to the plot of Nuka wanting the attetoin he never got when Kovu was born whos with me

  • Although I think there should be an uncut version, I can also see why they cut this part out. Also, I think the 'I finally got your attention now didn't I' wasn't subtle enough. His lack of attention from Zira was pretty subtle throughout the whole movie (well, for kids) and this just ruins it, I think. I still love Nuka though :3

  • *SOB*

I think I have dust in my eyes.

  • i love Zira's smile :)

  • I can see why that was cut out.

That probably would've stabbed Zira in the heart if she had one.

  • This should have totally been included.

  • All of the deleted scenes should have been kept and animated. They flesh out the film and characters so well.

  • they should´nt have cut this!

  • Although the original last line makes this scene more gut-wrenching, I don't agree that it changes the nature of Nuka or gives us a new perspective of him. It was clear throughout the movie, and especially in the events leading to Nuka's death ("Are you watching me, Mother?"), that Nuka longed for the attention and love his mother lavished on Kovu.

  • Dang, you guys are all right, they should have kept this in, this would have been perfect...

  • WHY was this cut?! It was perfect!

  • @ZeeDeeDee96 Let see say there is a kid who feels he's beign ignored, watches the movie and scene, and thinks the only way to get his/her parents attentions is to injrue themselfs

    that why it was cut

  • @ZeeDeeDee96 I agree ^^

  • I find it really powerful how a simple sentence can turn a thought-to-be clumsy, silly comic-relief character into a tormented and sympathetic one.

Nuka was unique among Disney characters in that he was deeper than people thought him to be. His desire for his mother's affection is heartbreaking and shows the results of a loveless family.

They should have kept this scene in the movie. Dark or not, it is an emotional scene and it gives Nuka the respect he deserves.

  • damn...if only it wasnt cut out of the movie...

  • NUKA IS MY HERO.

  • i love how zira smile when nuka said i finally got your attention it makes her more motherly

  • I'd understand why they cut this out - it seems just not right that Nuka says this...

  • That's so sad! D':

  • That gave me chills, why did they cut that out?D:

  • i really wish they hadnt cut this out :(

  • I'd love a Lion King Ultimate Edition with all deleted stuff.

  • and that's all Nuka ever wanted

  • man.. who ever was writing lion king 2 was dealing with some deep shit. Either that, or they should not be writing kids movies, but instead adult dramas

  • i think they should have kept this. nukas death in the final movie vershion i didint care much about his death, but if they had kept this i would have been alot sadder for nuka.

and as for the bad thing for kids they could have just had zira say:

    "you always had my attention"

then it would have been good for kids and made zira a bit more motherly.

  • Wish Disney use this line for Nuka. It gives us another perspective on how we viewed the so-called Bad Lions.

And, this could be Andy Dick's best voice-acting moment.

  • @takarifan his only good acting moment XD

  • @takarifan Andy Dick voiced Nuka!! I did not know that

  • That was... holy -shit- man! That was seriously good, stunning to hear and just so good for the char. I mean I understand why it was taken out- hearing that fucking shocked even me, and it's a very very bad message for the kids (they'll miss you when you're dying!) but it's really unfortunate for the story that this and Zira's suicide are gone.

  • to bad that they deleted that lines..

    makes me cry :(

  • Erm, is it just me, or is that in the movie?

  • @Layla26ish look at the last line...

  • They should've kept that in. I always thought it odd that Zira suddenly cared after making obvious she didn't care for Nuka. This would've given her an excellent reason to lash out at Kovu, and would've been so emotionally impacting.

  • Weird. I remember this scene being in the movie. Maybe I dreamed that lol.

  • the cut this and Zira's suicide out? those two scene would of made a huge difference in Lion King 2!!! D:

  • I think the one reason Disney don't kept the scene is because they don't want kids felling bad for the villains.

    Facepalm for Disney.

  • Lion king, and lion king 2 uncut edition! Whos with me on this one?

  • @hamtarofan4000 Good idea, but TLK 2 would be rated PG 13 for Zira's suicide.

  • @hamtarofan4000 hell yes!

  • In the french canadian version, he does say those words, but in french :3

  • WTF they should've kept that in!!! D: it would have made the movie even more awesome than it is!!

  • I think the line is very powefull, but for the audience disney was aiming for i can see why they cut it out.....but why couldnt they make a un-cut addition? that make every one happy.

  • Dear TLK makers,

Why delete this line?! TLK2 is like my 2nd fave Movie!

it would have been first if you placed this line!

    -Aluiz

  • "I finally got your attention dint I?" That line is verry powerful, I wonder why did the TLK animators didnt include that cline.

  • Yeah, youre right, Nuka had the right to say/think that....but that'd be kind of dark for kids

  • I actually like the cut better. Its denying Zira a longer precious moment with her boy, not letting her reflect longer on "omg dont die, I love you!" Much like Zira denied Nuka attention whilst growing up.

  • I swear to God, I saw this in some version before this.

  • Soccor mom's would be mad if this were left in because they'd worry their kids would do the same to get attention. I have a better idea, leave this quote in and tell the soccer mom's to simply have their kids not watch it. Problem solved.

  • :\ I guess the thought process here was somehow accidently thinking they were telling the kids "Want more attention? Do dangerous stuff!"

This is powerful stuff, but I think I would've squirmed a bit if it were left in there.

  • They should have kept it this in. Not only is the voice acting on those last two whispered lines extremely powerful, but it drives the point in more than "I tried".

Although, it is almost a little too much for a kid's movie... Still, it's better.

  • This should have been put in the lion king 2 it rwally should show to Zira how bad of a mother she was to Nuka

  • This scene and Nuka's suicides should've been kept in. They're both very powerful.

  • Nuka's suicide, it's Zira's suicide, they may seemintresting, but young kids see this, and suicide is to dark

  • @Dancergirl600 No darker than the first movie.

Main villain kills protagonist's dad, leaves him an orphan, attempts to kill him, orphan spends years blaming himself for his father's death, comes home to see his mom being beaten and abused by said villain, showndown, VILLAIN IS KILLED BEING MAULED AND EATEN ALIVE BY HYENAS.

Seriously, more murder comes out of LK1 that saying that suicide is "too dark" is laughable.

  • @RoyalGuard503 I'm there with ya 100% :)

  • shoulda kept nukas line in , and can someone tell me why is everyone saying zira shiuld smile her son just died ?!

  • Why did they delete her smile,is beyond me...

  • @xIcePanther

Her smile was probably deleted because Nuka's last words were deleted, lol. Can you imagine her with just smiling after Nuka died? That would be kind of...sinister xD but i understand what you mean, to see her smile like that would've been the most heartwarming thing in the whole movie, for me. this is the one scene in the movie i can genuinely say got me teary-eyed. xD

  • @Keyinei Good point there XD i didn't though of that D: XD

Yeah,it was really heartwarming indeed D:

It got me to allmost cry XD

  • where can I see this movie.

  • OH MY GOD, WHY! *sobs*

  • Geez, for once i'll say disney's nuts for getting rid of this scene!!! It's much more emotional.

  • I don't understand how this could be a bad message for children.

  • @GrooveOfMidnight Simple.

Kid feels s/he isn't loved from having someone/thing distracting parents + Sees cut scene = Thinks death (suicide) will get their attention.

Kids can be idiots. Trust me. I'm a kid.

  • @Jademageify LOL

  • DUDE!

I had no clue this scene exsisted.

But I was watching the lion king 2 on here, & after Nuka died I commented on how he didn't deserve to die because he just wanted his mothers attention. I was right.

  • how would this be bad for kids? i dont get it..... but it was really sad, i loved nuka and i cried for days after he died(that shows you how much i love movie chars that arent real X3) but then i remeberd that i could restart the movie and he'd be alive again! and i was happy. BTW i was like, 3 years old

  • @xXDarkness101Xx It would have been bad for kids as it could send a message that in order to get your parents attention you have to do reckless and dangerous things or get hurt.

  • ¬¬! Well, comparing to cartoons of this time.

    They should have keep it.

  • D: This... just made me go T^T and <3 for Zira. XD;

  • After finally seeing this scene, I'm actually a bit ticked off that Disney didn't keep that last line in there. Because sure, when I was a kid I didn't need a line like that to care about characters. But whenever I watch TLK2 nowadays, I just feel apathetic towards Nuka's death. But that last line actually made me care. As for whether or not kids could've handled it: if we can handle Bambi's mother's death and Mufasa's, we could've handle that one last line.

  • ; . ; this is so sad, Zira is finally paying attention to Nuka.

  • WHY NUKA WHY'D YA HAVE TO DIE!!!?!?! *cries in a corner*

  • any other messed up, pointless scenes you want to throw at us, disney? how about the beast being stabbed to death at the end of beauty and the beast? how about the old woman being shot by the neighbor at the end of goodbye may seem forever in the fox and the hound? or i know! let's let esmeralda burn at the stake! my god, this is fucked up beyond belief.

  • @robertreturns Well, they could've done worse by by being faithful to the novel where Frollo rapes Esmeralda in the dungeon then ends up getting her hanged over a crime he framed her on. THEN they could've killed him off like when Quasimodo did by pushing him down the stairs in notre dame.

Trust me, all of the movies they made back then were EXTREMELY watered and child friendlied down.

  • @Miano YAY FOR THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME MOVIE! i wouldve said movieS but the sequel was seriously shitty. they totaly murdered clopin, and i got freakin PISSED! *hugglez clopin plushie* yay Clopin!

  • "I tried..."

    Yeah. Well done Nuka.

  • Nuka's death was so unneccsary.

  • @Werebereus how?

  • @MikeMsDaughter11 Many believe his death was the turning point and started the pridelander/outlander war. But Zira says herself, "Simba is injured and weak. Now was the time to attack!" not, "He's murdered another one! At this rate he'll kill us all. We must take the pridelands NOW!"

  • @Werebereus yeah, but Zira also said,"SImba has hurt me for the last time." but I still dont see how it is unnessecary. >.>

  • @MikeMsDaughter11 And after that Nuka's death is never mentioned again. She simply states he hurt her, not because of her loss she's going to kill him. Her reason for war was because Simba was weak. This she says herself overruling any speculation.

  • Nuka... You finally had some love... to bad you had to die for it...

  • awwwww how saaaaaaaad D;

but i can see why they cut it out...

  • I think Nuka's death is in the norwegian version XD

  • damn Moral Guardians

  • where did you find all these deleted scenes?

  • little too bitter for disney.... i like it

  • his last words shood of been

'' ..... fuck u zira...'' xDDD im sory but onestly it shood hav becuz she was a bich to him and all he wanted from her was for her 2 b proud of him or at leest show SUM interest in his life

  • Honestly, I like the final cut a lot better. The quaking, shuddering "I tried..." makes for much better last words. "I guess I finally got your attention" is just a little too blatant, and too tacked-on.

  • Poor Nuka :( Zira was a terrible mother.

  • Why. Did. They cut it?!

  • aww they seriously shoulda kept that

  • They cut a lot out of the Lion King movies, or changed a lot of things because they didn't want to upset the kids watching, the parents, or the networks. For example, Nuka, Vitani, and Kovu were originally supposed to be Scar's children. This would mean that Kovu would have been Simba's cousin, and that Kiara was dating her father's cousin...

  • Holy crap... that line was disturbing. I don't know why but I just don't feel right...

  • ...they kept this scene.......

  • I think this would have brought more meaning since Nuka did try to make his mother happy. And it's really sad since he died basically because of that since she was never satisfied with what he tried to do to get the attention he kinda deserved.

  • Aww poor nuka. One of my favorite characters of the lion king died. This is more heartbreaking then the one in the movie. Why did they cut this though?? :"(

  • Why would this try be negative? I don't really see why the moral guardians got this.

  • @NinjaMuffinMaster As far as I've heard, they vut it beacurse it would "give kids a bad veiw on getting attiontion", basically they think kids will run out and do the same thing to get parents attention or something.

But another reason could be that the audience simply didnt get it

  • They had a song about orgasms, I don't think a sad and legitimately dramatic scene would have been crossing any lines that hadn't already been crossed.

  • @Wexmajor1189 in da lion king

wuz eeet the one with kiara and kovu?

i really think kids r waaay more intelegent and stronger than these directors think

they shoulda kept this line =3

  • @Wexmajor1189 They were already going on about the "Circle of Life" since the first movie anyway.

  • 'Well... I finally got your attention' That's sad!!!!! :(

  • Why did Zira smile?

  • It is ironic, that Scar was kind of evil, because he probably felt betrayed by his folks (giving all attention to Mufasa) and then he neglects his own children(esp. Nuka) later.

A case for dr. Freud? Faster to Freudmobile! pow!

  • this SHOULD have been in he movie.. I would have liked it more

  • i swear, the fear of moral guardians basically kinda ruined this sequel

  • I cried at this scene. Had they kept the line, I would have bawled. Oh Disney and your silly sense of "Lets keep the soccer moms happy."

  • They didnt even bother taking out the part where he says ''Didnt I?'' You can clearly hear it. But since they took that part out it doesnt make sense.

  • @Amaterasuwolf sure it does-I tried, didn't I?

  • I think they should've kept this line. Nuka was just kinda ignored the whole movie, I can guarantee there would be a lot more emotion in general if the kept this line. I kinda get a drift as to why they didn't, but it would've been a MUCH more heartbreaking moment if they kept this in!

  • But that is very strange... All those cut scenes ARE present in the French version (at least) !

  • Nuka´s sooo poor and soo cute!!

  • Why would they cut that? To keep parents from complaining of a dark joke? It was no secret his mother walked all over him, and not even in the family-friendly way!

  • poor nuka no attention until his painful death :````( how sad

  • Poor Nuka. :"(

  • i think his death scene would have been more powerful if they had kept that line

  • @MegaPurplebunny i agree.

  • @MegaPurplebunny They said they cut it out because they thought it would give children the idea to kill themselves for parents attention.

  • Damn if they had kept that line in. That would have been the second time The Lion King has made me cry.

  • Hard not to feel sorry for him. The only way to get a few seconds of his mothers love is to dye a painful death.

  • Man, that line was SO clever! They should have kept it!! >:3

  • This was only a very small part, but it has a depth and power that is not often seen in animated films. Obviously, it was cut, because Disney didn't want to get that intense.

  • Good movie, but imagine how much better it would have been with all the deleted scenes.

  • the darker aspects of the movies make them alot more interesting and meaningful. most disney sequels play it safe and end up without purpose or meaning.

they should have kept this part, most kids aren't going to hear that one line and say to themself, im going to kill myself to get attention. most kids are scared of death.

  • i loved how Zira wanted to save him, even though it was to late, it was sweet how she smiled, she really did care for him

  • I really liked Nuka, I found him easy to relate to and I think that line would have been really good and in tone with the character.

  • This made me cry. And I'm 17.

  • That's very VERY powerful, I think! It shows how children NEED the love and attention of their parents. It is not a thing to be taken for granted!

  • GAAHHHH, they SO should've used this!

  • The movie was alright but with so many of these deleted scenes that were taken out its could have been fantastic.

  • Tragic...

  • I do think this shoud be kept but I also agree about the idea it would set in childrens' minds. I also think the scene where nuka tell zira he seen kiara ceremony as it tells more of a story in whole and character. I think he also says he is scars son but obviosly kovu is not, making nuka cousin to simba.....

  • The very much should of kept this because he really did finally get her attention. But that kinda makes Zira look like a douch :P

  • I luv this version better than the other one but I understand y they never put this version in the movie. Just listen to the part where Nuka sayz "Well, I Finally Got Your Attention, Didn't I?". This would make children think that dyin would get their parent's attention, thus the idea of committin suicide just to get their parents attention. Read b/w tha lines...I still luv this version tho.

  • I don't get it. If WE can't read between the lines, what makes Disney think a kid can? Oh well. *shrug*

  • I say that they should've kept it to make the scene more sad and the idea of Nuka deeper.

But on the other hand, I do see how some kid viewers might take it the wrong way.

  • I don't know. Think of all the darker aspects in old cartoons and movies. We never got the wrong ideas as kids and neither did our parents or grandparents for that matter.

  • Hm, good point. That's true. They just wouldn't be so great without the darker parts. Some sequels like to "play it safe" and just aren't daring enough then.

  • Exactly. I mean look at the sequel to The Little Mermaid and then look at the original. There were tons of darker moments in the original and the sequel played it safe and was complete crap compared to the first. ( the only ones I like really is TLK 2 and BatB 2 ) Disney ( and the media in general ) think kids can't handel that kind of stuff and its really making the quality of their movies suffer. I mean we grew up with that stuff and most of us turned out ok.

  • @DarkMoonSylph the key word being MOST. but i see whatcha mean. same with the hunchback. the first movie was utterly awesome, and i dont mean just b/c of th animation, and the sequel was crappy beyond belief. and it was all because of the depth and animation.seriously disney, if youre gonna make a movie, GIVE THE VEIWERS WHAT THEY WANT!!! and dont make crappy animation like HoND2, you just totaly murdered it and yourselves there.

  • So damn depressing! But it works so beautifully. They truly should have kept this in. It would have rounded Nuka's character out perfectly and given it some meaning.

  • Hear, hear!

  • Zira's motherly smile really got me teary-eyed... Poor Nuka ended up so overlooked, when he really could've been a strong character. =(

  • @littlekitsune1 I know he shouldn't have died.

  • You know if you listen closely in the movie you can still hear him say, "didn't i?" really quietly before he dies.

  • inoticed they were blered

  • OKAY now we can swifly move o to the bit where he acctuaily dosn't die and goes ff and hass cubs and freinds and a mate

  • @hyean4 or after they left Nuka crawled out of the logs and lived?

  • despite the "darkness", i really wish they would have kept these 5 scenes. it would have been great to see them with the rest of the movie.

  • O__O Wow. Thanks for posting.

Epic is what it is. Kinda got me teary eyed.

  • They shoulda kept this and Zira's suicide. Little kids should know the world isn't always a happy place, and it would make the movie waaaay better. :D:D:D

  • That's the part when Nuka dies.

  • That almost had me in tears.

I do see why they had to cut it though, he's dying and he says "I finally got your attention" that could be a bad thing for kids.

    Sad though, thanks for posting.

  • It is sad, but I'm glad you liked. :) I agree, it could be a bad message for kids... Though, I recently had a thought. Just the same, it might be a good message to adults: don't ignore your children. Eh, it can go both ways..

  • i see more of the adult side of it than i do the kid side.
