I love the sound of Gackt's voice when he speaks and sings! I am a newbie too to the global Gackto-fandom having only discovered him Nov.2010. American radio doesn't play much J-rock stars but YouTube does so here I am listening and watching everything related to Gackto-san! I have not been a long term Gackt-sama fan compared to others. I've watched his roles-movies. I've listened to his music, watched the videos. He is a wonderful actor and a musical genius. I don't care if he puts out another album and retires. As long as he's happy. I just hope he find's his OWN happiness. He's given a lot to his fans or "dears", I think after all the year's he's given. It's time for him to be happy. Yes he would be missed but with a smile. I, even as a new fan, am grateful.

I hope he delivers, as I just spent $115 on his last 5 singles, and they are all awesome.

I skipped a lot of the singles and went for the albums like DIABOLOS and Crescent.

I have bought every single he has released since the DIABOLOS album, because I don't think he will release another full album, the way he talks.

I hope I am wrong. I want another MARS.

All told, I have spent over $300 on Gackt CDs.

I'm inclined to believe it might be partly intentional though -- compare the sound of his voice when he sang 君が代 in 2001 vs 2008, it sounds almost exactly the same.

I liked his every fase of voice, but how it is, its not my problem, so if he should or not, I don't care, at least he can be one of most touchable pianists..
