Is the call quality good? Do you lose calls often, or is it reliable for talking on the phone?
Is the text messaging good? I previously owned one of the GzOnes (IDR which one) and it's texting was crap, I couldn't hardly send a text message, couldn't send a picture message, and was hard to receive messages from other people, from owners/previous owners, was there any problems with texting on the Brigade?
@TheMattXWire Unfortunately, the guy who made this video hasn't been at Wirefly for more than a year, and I have no experience with the Brigade. Perhaps someone will come along who has some experience and can answer your questions.
@wirefly Thank you, I have read several reviews and not saw any issues with the texting.
But I did stumble upon a problem that you or another employee may be able to answer about it randomly shutting off (it wouldn't be that big of deal for me as long as it wasn't more than 3 times a day probably)
Is there any way to fix the "reboot problem" I've been reading about?
@TheMattXWire I have no experience with the Brigade and don't know anyone here who has one. You might be better off by finding an online forum that focuses on Casio phones -- they will have experience with your phone.
The reboot problem you're having sounds ominous. If you've done all the firmware and OS updates, then there's a really good chance that is a hardware problem that can't be fixed. Again, a Casio forum is a good place to start.
My buddy had the old G'zOne flip phone. Upon the middle of a hard day at work in 100degree temps his wife continuously called him over and over again, he finally had enough and tossed it in the 8' deep inground swimming pool. It stayed for over a hour, funny thing is we could see the screen light up when she called. He had 13 missed calls after retreaval, he called her back. Twas awesome!
How do i change my signature? My internal screen broke and i cant change the sig from the front of the phone. but can still use the internal keyboard. My sig is my ex girlfriends name. Can somebody please tell me how to do it "Blindly" from the inside of my phone. Or send me a link to a video. I tried verizon support but it does not go into enough detail. Thank you to anybody who helps me delete my sig.
not waterproof after like a few feet... then it acts weird...and now for some reason the screen looks weird but the buttons work :/ dont put it in water!!1
@usabaseball8 if you read the fineprint it states that the phone is not waterproof, but water resistant. its not meant to be submerged. just if you spill water on it or something like, it wont hurt it.
@TeeJayDubs4 You dont have to I know because im looking into getting a new phone and i asked a verizon person the same question and they said you can get it but its optional only the smartphones are required to have a data package like droids iphones etc. hope this helped ya
@MurderByFluoride I looked around Wirely and couldn't see that we;re still selling the Casio G'zOne Brigade. We do list the Casio G'zOne Commando and Casio G'zOne Ravine. I think they both can use data but data may not be a requirement. It looks like you can buy a plan for talk only, which will probably get you limited Internet access.
@TeeJayDubs4 I think you do. Verizon lists the Casio G'zOne Brigade as being EvDO Rev. A capable, and that's a data service. To me, that means the phone requires a data plan.
@MadisonPawlina Madison, I don't know your exact circumstances, so it's best if you speak to someone. I suggest you call 800-552-9000 and ask your questions.
Hi wirefly. Ok so hen you buy phones on your website is this after your two year contract is up? (I am verizon). Or can you just buy the phone for the price that you have? In other words can you buy a phone even while your contract is going. Please reply thanks.
@MadisonPawlina As with so many things... it depends. The best thing to do is to go to Wirefly.com and use our "eligibility checker" to see if you are eligible for an upgrade. I recommend you start there, and call 800-552-9000 if you have any questions.
I got the enV Touch... In the suggested videos ---> Down a little bit there is the "Casio G'zOne Brigade Size" and the phone that it's comparing to is my phone, the enV Touch. :-D My next phone I think I want one of the new 4G phones, even though it's kinda nerdy I love smartphones with too many features too count. x-D
Awesome review, I am definately getting this phone now. Thanks for showing me how muhch of a tank it is. to be honest, I can't wait to snag mine. Is it water PROOF or water RESISTANT?
I hate this phone. when you need the flashlight you shut the phone off because you can't see and you hold down the button right next to power. When it rings you hold it to your head and it's on speaker. . . Again. I'm going deaf. The worst part is my old GZ1 had better reception. It has issues. I'm on my second one and I am happy to say after six frustrating days I'm going back to the flip version.
Hmm, I wonder why the screen would seperate when dropped? For a phone that rugged you'd think that you'd want the phone to stay shut minimizing the damage if the phone was struck after dropped.
Wow, nice. I have the original model, Casio G'zOne Type V. I got it used, nearly 2 years ago and it's been nothing short of awesome. I skate nearly everyday in skateparks and have broken previous phones, from slamming. But the Type V can handle my worst slams. It bruises ME, haha. I like the qwerty keyboard on the Brigade, but not crazy about the keys on the outside. It would be perfect if they made this flip both ways, liek the Samsung Alias, since I also prefer the flip phone style.
saving up for this phone, my dad will pay for the contract, I just have to buy the phone myself... I wanted that good camera one they had a few months back, then it dissapeared... But this is even better, because of the qwerty keyboard! I am very excited! :D
No 3.5 mm jack, no buy. I like its rigged and simple characteristics, but 3.5 should be now the standard. Also, VCAST music manager is horrible. Unless their is an upgrade where you can access the music quickly, VCAST is not really worth it. I was using my VCAST to listen to music, but it's slow and now I use an Ipod Touch. That lens should have cover. Looks ok for someone who's always outside.
Agreed. Just left AT&T. I just got Boost Mobile. No contract and unlimited everything. I get a discount on my boost cards and paid only $41.25 per month. I wil go back to contract when the major carriers come to their senses. Although Sprint is pretty good so I may switch to them at years end. It depends if they get some phones I like. But now its boost all the way.(which sprint owns anyhow)
@killcharlieagain Thanks for checking out Wirefly. Just like in your carrier store, the "catch" is that you must sign/renew a contract with Verizon (and must be upgrade-eligible if you are an existing customer). Please feel free to message us if you have further questions, and check out the coupon code on our channel.
@619BUD Hi 619BUD, all of our phones are brand new, and are the very same as you would buy in any carrier store. Be sure to check out our YouTube channel for a coupon code for our YouTube subscribers, and feel free to message us if you have any further questions.
added to that, it's not bad at all for a rugged phone, it doesn't even look that old =__= if you wanna know old, you should see the phones they used when I was in the 4th grade @.@
this would beat the shit out of an iphone

It require 9.99$/month data plan. MANDATORY! This is such a bull...I dont need that stupid data plan coz I have a broadband data card(5GB/month).
I pay 170$ for voice + 130$ for data =300$/month. And now they want more from me.
