I'm glad the Lib Dems took the only realistic option & went into coalition. It is so much preferable to the untrammelled Tory govt that would have swept to power this autumn if Clegg had let Cameron get on with a minority govt for a few months.
That said Lib Dem ministers need to be more up front about when Lib Dem policies have not made into the coalition programme. They need to articulate a distinctive Lib Dem position. This happens in other countries with coalitions, why not ours?
@ikr2 Hear hear! I would rather see government ministers from both parties being more honest about which policies are theirs, which are not and which are a compromise. As long as this is done politely and respectfully I see no reason why this would cause divisions or problems and it would give the public a better understanding of exactly how everything's being done in government.
side kick clegg - he is the new breed of the new world order - not fooling me for a minute - grandchild of a 33rd degree mason which he will be soon enough once he has served his role fooling the british public.
@irdial I hope that was a secuirty light ......I'd like to think that 'dave' (the PM & former PR guy) would have given this a look over before it went out.
"i didn't get into politics just to pay off dept"

I assume this is a reaction to accusations he's supporting Tory policy too much, losing support with his own party.
