@irishboy0909 No... not really! The original is 720x576 (anamorphic), but the version you see here has been compressed and then recompressed...hence, the quality is very poor. I could upload a higher resolution version, but, frankly, I'm not bothered! The hope is to re-shoot the whole series on HD, but that's going to need a commitment from a broadcaster.
Catch and Release is good. Whenever we go out, we don't usually keep them. If they're a decent size, and we're catching lots of them, then we'll have a cook out. Check out my fishing video.
I think dbzhustler91 meant to say "You are good, but you are not a good person. You appear to never kill the fish, but just let them die." Hope this helps.
Hmm... thankyou for the translation sharkdude. If you are correct, then I am still bemused. Alan Hanna does occasionally kill the fish, but only when he is going to eat them. Otherwise they are all quickly released. Filming this series meant the fish were sometimes out of the water for longer than he liked, but to our knowledge none of them died as a result!
I wonder if dbzhustler91 was referring to the treatment of the bait fish. Some people would argue that it was more humane to dispatch them with a knock on the head than to let them suffocate in air.

My great granny was from the Isle of Man. It ain't too far to nip across to Dublin and head west to some serious shark fishing waters.

Agreed. Thanks for spreading the word.
Besides, you won't enjoy the thrill of catching them again if they're extinct.
