Love Carrie. Stop comparing her & Allison. I love both of them. Carrie's my favourite singer of all time, but Allison is my favourite of season 8 (next to kris allen). They sing totally different genres, so they can't be compared. period.

Uh, the LEAD isn't the HARMONY - which is the *high* part, or what you're calling "soprano." (Sometimes you do a high harmony, sometimes low ... whatever, I'm not going to explain music theory to someone on YouTube.) But in THAT song, Carrie sang LEAD - the backup singer sang the harmony, as backup singers are supposed to -- in this song, the harmony was higher than the lead. Srsly, take a class or something - cause, you seemed to have missed it.

My point was that Carrie singing her part - and singing it amazingly well - isn't diminished by the fact that someone else sang *their* part well. Your entire comment was pointless. OMG Carrie absolutly sings alison out the room! alisons version was awful and painful to listen to, so much constriction! carries voice is far cleaner and easier on the ear! Allison needs to get better technique cos she just shouts!
