  • Bass Mechanik - Night Bass

  • nice ssytem keep it up !

  • can these subs be heard out side the car from a good distance?

  • @123middle never try it....but i think yes..

  • GOOD LOOK AND SOUND!!! How far up do u have the gain level?

  • @jwilmington3 cant remember..but i think its ~60-70%

  • The ports are small because, if you let the sub extend too far it will damage the voice coils. They are small because it is a good healthy mix between being ported and sealed. This is a good way to set it up if you want the best of both worlds. Excellent Setup!

  • why are the ports too small?

  • Alpine type X or Jl w6?

  • if you got the cash go for w7

  • @LiquidForceMan 1 12" type X = 2 12" w6v2's

  • how many watts that amp is delivering ??

the electricity consumption goes til 150 A , what kind of battery are you using ??

    my battery is 75 A , my amp 3000 W rms !!!!!!

  • nice setup, clean, loud, and linear

  • clean setup, i got one 12w6v2 in the high output box with a 500/1 and that shit knocks retarded i can just imagine how hard your shit hits

  • @xsjboi408x hey man I have the same setup, just wondering can you turn the amp all the way up with the music loud? I wanna do it I'm just worried about blowing it cuz I just got it. thanks

  • @mhodgkin The purpose of setting the gain is to match the output voltage of the source unit... depending on the preout voltage of your source unit (deck), the higher the preout voltage, the lower the gain should be set... anything over that point will send a distorted wave to the sub... google 'setting amp gains' as there's a lot of good info, and too many people crank it too high... I would never go over half personally... you will get the best quality with the gain nice and low

  • @CoupeDeville23 thanks a lot man you're completely right

  • @mhodgkin no problem... I used to crank mine up just like most other people, until I watched a video where someone hooked an oscilloscope up to the amp, and you could see just how easy it is to send a square wave to the subs.... mine is set to just under half now on a RF P1000 pushing a 10w7, and even though I itch to turn it up more, I want this stuff to last!

  • werid... guess overseas they feel having two really non efficent ports is the way to go:). what are they like 1 inch ports? you got to move more air then that man. come on now... no center devider and one slot port about 3 inches wide and you would be straight. tune it to 35 hrts. that box is not cutting it.

  • I agree that slot ports are not the best, but that's not an "overseas" thing. Roll into any budget shop in the US and they sell the same crap.

  • well yeah there is shops here that would sell that kinda shit...but not shit like that man lol. his ports dont even look like there 1 inch wide..thats just retarted..even the cheap ebay boxes over here dont have that poorly designed of a box..thats just sad

  • and acutally im not saying slot ports are bad, they are the best in my opinion, im at 150.3 on the termlab with one 6 inch wide slot port tuned at 32 hrts two L7 12s in a 7 cube box and 2500 rms... im jus sayin that his slot ports are a very ineffectent design, thats "choking" the subs so to speak... he needs one chamber, one slot port tuned to around 35 hrts with about 3-4 cubic foot of airspace and he would gain about 3-5 dbs...

  • if u think.. if the box wasnt so tall then the port would hhave been wider... its taller so its stretched out

  • Comment removed

  • you're right. it's the area of the port, not how wide across it is which is the important factor.

  • thank u

bout time someone realizes im right

    haha

  • @SeanFarley25 the box you discribed there sounds like the one i just built... 4.227 cubes for 2 12" with 2.5" port width tuned to 35 hz .. only one port

  • that bass sounds so smooth. I'm thinking about going ported with my W6 but I don't want to loose SQ, but I feel as though I've maxed the output out of my sealed box. What do you think, ported?

  • dont change your sealed box man thats the way to go the ported only sounds a lil bit louder and youll have to eq things again stick with your sealed sounds pretty clean and loud

  • If you do go ported dont get to big of a port because when you crank it, it will loose its suspension because all the air is just going out and it starts to sound bad. I go ported with all my stuff just watch the size if you want to keep your sq

  • dude im diggen the bass testin song
