The song lyrics you wrote at the end "and you can have it all, my empire of dirt" from the song "Hurt" was written by Trent Reznor from the Nine Inch Nails album "The Downward Spiral"! Johnny Cash did not write that song! Johnny Cash only did a cover of it, and the cover version sucked.

Section 14. c. calls for quarterly and annual assessment. I'm having a difficult time figuring out if these assessments are to be held before or after an emergency. That is, are these assessments to be held now - before the emergency? Or are they to happen after the emergency? If after then it seems clear that this document is for a long term declaration of an emergency. Which means that if, for whatever reason, an election were to be suspended (like the 08') that'd be it for years.

You ramble about Bush and Cheney, but you don't live in their heads. As well, despite their mistakes they feel justified that what they did what was necessary.
why did you alter your appearance with photo editing? This is a serious and frightening issue and the way you have changed your looks in photoshop (I did a screen capture and looked at it under scrutiny) distracts from the seeriousness of the issue.
Why would you do a screen capture and look at it under scrutiny? If I have the knowledge and capability, why not? And it is YOU and your irrelevant comment that is an unwanted distraction from this very serious issue.
A few short years ago I would have said you are a crazy nut with a perverse polital agenda.
I have recently opened my eyes and open my mind to what is happening in this country, I have always thought the Republican Party gave me the best chance to be free. How wrong I was. Almost all of them are Neocons that will strip my liberties. Have you considered Ron Paul?
Saerain, you have got to be, without a doubt, the single most well spoken person I have ever seen on YouTube. What are you doing on YouTube? This website is a waste of your intellect! Personally, I'm surprised the 2008 candidates have been pretending like this is just another election. That they haven't brought up many of the points you have here. There's a fascist dictator in the American Presidency and it's business as usual?
We should have done and should do now the opposite of what has been done. I'm afraid you must be clueless as to the events that have taken place since 9/11. Quit your dissent bashing, man.
Wake up! Open your eyes more! Look at the bigger picture breekos! What kind of government you want in our Nation? I want the one that our Founding Fathers gave us. I want our Republic back with our Constitution & Bill of Rights, the rule of law, Habeas corpus restored along with the Insurrection Act & Posse Comitatus! It's not just abt Bush and I'm not trying to insult you my friend.
bush tried to nuke usa recently and he does speeches with the nazi facist symbols at his side! BUSH IS TOTAL FUCKING EVIL i have the proof look at my site
Saerain I truly wonder what the rest of the World must
think of us Americans....We the People of the United States
The Land of The Free the Home of the Brave.... That we have become so filled with fear and apathy that we have allowed such a corporate Fascist to Destroy our Once Great Constitution.
I have spoken to Europeans who take pity on American citizens, seeing us as so coaxed into fearing standing up to the administration that they simply hope the situation improves for us with the next election.
I have spoken to other Europeans who do believe that we are weak and lazy for failing to act.
I can certainly understand both perspectives from across the Atlantic.
As for the rest of the world, I don't particularly know. I have friends in Yemen, Myanmar, Japan, and Australia, but they are extremely vague about their opinions on American politics, understandably.
Is fascism a fair name for the Islamite extreists? Or even the Israelite extremists? Yes. Each with variable materialism and spiritual;ism. Dependant on their locality within the globe. Israel is an oasis in comparison with most of the Islami states.
I think it is an imporatant point though, that in the end, the Middle East is the victim of the West, especially America, as it is. Of course it was a mess before imperialism. Still, it can be fairly sympathised with in terms of victimiseation by the oppression of tyrants, victorious only by the use of obscene force, like scatter bombs, and the missles meant for evil's destruction (e.g. childeren with hands cut off), yet responsible for evil destruction (e.g. childeren with feet blown off).
I don't think of them as fascist, but certainly more corrupt (to use an obnoxious buzzword) than America. Due more to sectarian religious fervour than fascist governing. The areas I assume you're referring to seem more feudal than fascist -- though I wouldn't doubt that they would become fascist states if given the time and power.
True, the Burmans are the atypical fascists. Only they are simply extreme versions of the same. Capitalism, and the imperial empire biuilding ethos, are the bedrock of the fascist philosophy. It is the no holds barred form. I suppose it is not fascism in America (on the whole). It is certainly corrupt though, and the leaders ARE fascists. Their fascist state merely hides beneath a veneer of credulity the American flag supposes.
Well said. Without hyperbole. Completely objective.
I confess. I voted for bush twice. It was not because I considered him the best. I considered him to be the least "bad". Did I like him then? No. Do I like him now? Definitely not. Will any other candidate win the White House without the "blessing" of the powers that be? No. Is there hope?......
Hope springs eternal. This darkness, too, shall pass. We may bump our heads on the way to the light switch though.
People just got to get wiser. Evil is dreamt by the hungry dreamers, their minds in states of starvation with only themselves to blame. If evil minds reap the wind, the whirlwind shall eat all. Our economics cant be our ecological healthyness. We must keep our selves alert, always ready to be really real.
I think facism is extreme capitalism, and the traits of the fascist state reside within all the nations. Earth suffers, hardly, an infection of human ignorance, and the only thing we can do is say we want extreme naturalism. Truth must battle lies, and the liar's hipocratic and ironic realities must fall, or we must all fall. One love hates none.
"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." Mussolini
Who not to define it but one who brought it to fruition in Italy. I guess extremem capitalism is just another way of saying the same thing. We have become a corporatacracy, with the lobbyists dictacting legislation and policy.
maybe the powers that be are using bush as an experiment to see how much crap we will put up with, bush has probably stretched our tolerance for putting up with crap from our leaders, although the american people are less willing to put up with crap from bush now then they were 5 years ago our ability to put up with crap in general has been expanded. maybe we will except that kind of powergrap from guiliani or someone else
I suggest you direct your efforts to a "fascist" practice that became vogue during the 90s. That would be the use of eminent domain by state and local governments to seize personal property for the purpose of corporate growth to generate higher tax revenues.
The characteristics which you tag the Bush administration with to support your claim of "fascism" could be applied to virtually every administration over the past 100 years in one way or another.
the people in abu ghraib and guantanamo where as no prisoner guilty or innocent is not supplied a lawyer unless swearing he or she will pledge guilty (thank you mr. bush) it's more of a subliminal facism if you ask me.
Absolutely right on. I live in the US - and I am so freaked out by what is happening in this country... but the worst thing is that most people continue to sludge along in a slumber, unaware of the danger that face them. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone! Fucking unreal. Thanks again, you are very hip to it all.......... God, 10 years ago if you had told me I'd be worrying about this kinda stuff... never would have dreamed it. They won't get away with it. PEACE.
HE IS A DICTATOR NOW.... so many blind americans, godamn! Directive 51, nspd 51,,,,,HITLER signed something, im possitive, that is similar in name/result.... Bush is a dictator now peoples! exactly like sadam husein and many others... Bush, is , fascism. DO SOME RESEARCH PEOPLE. Listen to people such as Saerain.
bush is basically a Nazi, he is being used as a puppet by many people/groups.. Bush = village idiot. I could go further but want to avoid another weak long argument with some twat that comes across this message a month after posting.
You are pretentious as hell man. I'm not talking about your views on things, I agree with a lot of those. The way you talk and act is about as genuine as tit implants.
I think you're sincere in the sense that you believe what you say. And, let me say, I think you're probably very compassionate and empathetic, and probably a very nice fellow. But man, lose the ultra-articulate manner of expressing yourself. It's almost like Data from Star Trek :) Don't get me wrong though, I imagine you're a good chap. Forgive my rudeness.
Great thoughtful video!! Well done. The last sentence you spoke, sent chills. Great idea to fade to blck as you were still speaking---only served to make it more memorable
As for the content of this particular video, it is the most boring yet. You said nothing that 10,000 other people haven't already said. You should address issues that aren't so tired and you should say things that aren't so cliché.
If the quotation slip-up has already been mentioned, "my bad." I didn't really feel like doing the research to back up what I had to say--you can obviously empathize with that.
I failed to do research to back up a 'tired' and 'cliché' video? I suppose your opinions are either unique from billions of other individuals or you never say a word.
Is that it, or are you referring to the misattributed quote again?
As for it being 'boring', the word is meaningless to me and if my intent was to entertain I would be seeking to be paid for it.
Your attribution of the line "and you could have it all; my empire of dirt" to Johnny Cash (who had nothing to do with the writing of the song "Hurt") is incorrect. Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails) is the true author and original singer of the song and the quotation should rightfully be attributed to him. Quite an oversight.
Also, Bush is nowhere near a fascist. Why not go out and try to get laid? You may find that even more fulfilling than ranting about things you are not near qualified to talk about. Are you in government? Didn't think so, the government does a lot of things in secret, I'm glad they do, just keeps another worry out of my mind. Maybe you should change your perspective.
Speaking of lives, have you ever had a relationship with a woman? Do you think that putting up videos that disrespect people you don't even know is going to fulfill your life?
Wow, pretty sad that an educated man-boy would jump on the anti-bush banwagon and post a video based solely on assumptions, nothing more. Bush will leave office, you sound like a hippy talking about all of this "dictatorship" garbage. Have you ever had a girlfriend? Or do you only think mindless tards have lives?
I'm quite sure he will leave office, but I think it is helpful to explore what it may seem he would like to do.
Whether I have a lover seems irrelevant, but yes, we've been together for six years. You, however, do not seem like the type to be justified in suggesting any such thing.
it doesn't have to happen now any president that is controlled by special interests could Use this unfairly, That is why RON Paul Must be our next president he will strip all of these with executive orders as un constitutional
Plain and simple,Bush is the most vile, evil, greedy and ignorant president EVER! He is a murdering war mongerer, who should be tried, convicted and executed for murder, war crimes and treason!
Two pillows...two cell phones...naked under a bathrobe...very subtle, Saerain, very subtle. Don't worry, we put the clues together (wink, wink, wink).
By the way, have you ever read "It Can't Happen Here" by Sinclair Lewis? The novel is a chilling and timely piece of work about the very real possibility of dictatorship in America.
The telephones are both mine, one is in the process of being deactivated because it was becoming very old and functions poorly. A bathrobe is a bathrobe, and I've always had two pillows on this bed, because it is large.
But the conclusion you hint at is not inaccurate.
Anyway, I have never read 'It Can't Happen Here', though it has been mentioned before. Perhaps I will grab it in September.
I've been reading up on it, and I agree with most if not all of your points made. He also put out another order placing more fascist-like limits on big businesses. I liked what you said about leaving office peacefully as well, he already rigged one election, why not another?
ONE election? I thought he rigged them both ;p lol Or maybe I'm just hoping our country wasn't silly enough to vote for him the first (or second) time XD
I don't feel as significant as people seem to think I do. Not nearly. I don't mean to report news or offer fresh insight, I simply mean to communicate. Put something out there. Let it float around. Let people assimilate it if they want or need to. I can spare a few minutes to fire a quick signal and see what it hits.
Many seem to have a delusion of grandeur on YouTube, and feel that their opinion is undisputable fact.
The fact that you are actually using YouTube as simply a means of communication is very good (which would be a redundant remark if so many people didn't use it for a means of conveying feelings of hatred and general hostility).
But anyway, keep'em coming. Good to know the intention that comes with the videos.
If I believed in any sort of higher power I'd pray to it for you and your Country. But since I don't I guess I'll just keep up with the news and continue to shake my head in disbelief.
I was told so incessantly while I was in high school. I wouldn't mind it. It was certainly more appealing than the suggestions that I enter the priesthood and become a preacher.
Several very good points! And a Sandman reference!! =D I'm glad there's someoe like you who will actually think logically, even if you are in a bathrobe ;)
... man with all his noble qualities, with sympathy which feels for the most debased, with benevolence which extends not only to other men but to the humblest living creature, with his god-like intellect which has penetrated into the movements and constitution of the solar system- with all these exalted powers- Man still bears in his bodily frame the indelible stamp of his lowly origin. Darwin -- Descent of Man, 1871.
I dont think you know as much about the topic as you let on. Besides noob errors like mispronouncing "Mosley" (your accent slips here), you are also too keen to make connections. The American system of government has no resemblance whatsoever to the Corporate State. Its like comparing a square to a circle. It is true that the President can veto congress, but this can be overthrown with a majority. The Supreme Court can also keep him in check by declaring his actions unconstitutional.
Have you even read it? It just shifts responsibility in the event of a national catastrophe from FEMA or whoever to the President, under the condition that he maintains all three branches of government, among other things. If you google "supreme court news" you will find plenty of instances of the Supreme Court putting Bush down.
It absolutely could not happen, but it is a scary thought. Looking at the current political stage and the realities of politics in general, one can figure out that a Bush dictatorship is absolutely not possible. On the other hand, you are dead on about corporate fascism. I wish more people were aware of corporate fascism.
It is very reasonable to be concerned at this development. While it is true that the current president of the american empire is not popular, the waves of idiocy which occurred after both 9/11 and during the lead up to the Iraq invasion could certainly be reproduced with the right "crisis." Ultimately, unpopular dictatorships go on and on elsewhere in the world, so we cannot rule out the possibility that this could happen here.
i haven't been able to keep up with the news lately, so this is the first i've heard about directive 51. so thanks for making this video, otherwise i would have been oblivous to these unconstitutional changes.
i'm also deeply saddend by this administration and the destruction they've caused. the rights they've taken away, and the the constitution they've shat upon.
He who controls the fate of America controls the fate of the world. I agree with you on most of your points but personally I feel that the Bush administration just isn't cunning or intelligent enough to create a dictatorship. Our country is not in a state where are dictatorship can be formed. Are economy is good (more or less), we are not in the midst of a crisis which threatens our nation's existence (yet), and public opinion is completely against the president. (part 1)
For one to effectively create a dictatorship at least a couple of the fore mentioned things must be occuring. It is the people who create the dictator and not the dictator himself. The most important thing that a dictator needs to gain power is he must have the hearts and minds of the people.
No person is a better example of this than Adolf Hitler. He gained the love of his people while the German economy was in ruin and used the governmental system to make himself Fuhrer. So in closing, while it does often seem that Bush is trying to name himself dictator and highly doubt that he and his administration have the intelligence and support that is needed. (part 3, end)
Ultimately, I probably agree with you, though I'm not so convinced that Hitler's administration was particularly more cunning. We often look back on military leaders of the past, no matter our moral judgement of them, as coldly logical geniuses compared to our modern warlords, but the strategies of government and tactics/logistics of war were quite different during the Second World War, and certainly further back from there.
Another terrorist attack would satisfy AthynKronos's and CityzenJane's implied conditions for a fascist takeover quite nicely. Would we have learned any lessons from the last nationalistic convulsion? Where is my darned tinfoil hat?
well... if they are here I hope they go public... I have heard that they are going to "Play" Jesus return and take a lot of people to other planet to serve as slaves or to be eaten... ok maybe this is not funny. What if is true?
Any intelligent alien beings would see the distinct danger of this particular memetic toxin in a man's body - and eject him -preferably from at least 30,000 feet.
If the 911 Mega Ritual was done by King Georgie and the Media, etc, as is oft said, then I would say we are past fascist. I'd say we are in deep Bandini. (A Texas Fertilizer Company)

I have spoken to Europeans who take pity on American citizens, seeing us as so coaxed into fearing standing up to the administration that they simply hope the situation improves for us with the next election.
I have spoken to other Europeans who do believe that we are weak and lazy for failing to act.
I can certainly understand both perspectives from across the Atlantic.

Is fascism a fair name for the Islamite extreists? Or even the Israelite extremists? Yes. Each with variable materialism and spiritual;ism. Dependant on their locality within the globe. Israel is an oasis in comparison with most of the Islami states.
Tomorer 4 years ago
I think it is an imporatant point though, that in the end, the Middle East is the victim of the West, especially America, as it is. Of course it was a mess before imperialism. Still, it can be fairly sympathised with in terms of victimiseation by the oppression of tyrants, victorious only by the use of obscene force, like scatter bombs, and the missles meant for evil's destruction (e.g. childeren with hands cut off), yet responsible for evil destruction (e.g. childeren with feet blown off).
Tomorer 4 years ago
These men must answer, yet do not, and the wrongs they perpetuate right the wrongs perpetual within Osama Bin Ladens.
Tomorer 4 years ago
I don't think of them as fascist, but certainly more corrupt (to use an obnoxious buzzword) than America. Due more to sectarian religious fervour than fascist governing. The areas I assume you're referring to seem more feudal than fascist -- though I wouldn't doubt that they would become fascist states if given the time and power.
Now, the situation in Myanmar... that is fascism.
Saerain 4 years ago
True, the Burmans are the atypical fascists. Only they are simply extreme versions of the same. Capitalism, and the imperial empire biuilding ethos, are the bedrock of the fascist philosophy. It is the no holds barred form. I suppose it is not fascism in America (on the whole). It is certainly corrupt though, and the leaders ARE fascists. Their fascist state merely hides beneath a veneer of credulity the American flag supposes.
Tomorer 4 years ago

Tomorer 4 years ago
I think facism is extreme capitalism, and the traits of the fascist state reside within all the nations. Earth suffers, hardly, an infection of human ignorance, and the only thing we can do is say we want extreme naturalism. Truth must battle lies, and the liar's hipocratic and ironic realities must fall, or we must all fall. One love hates none.
Tomorer 4 years ago
"Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power." Mussolini
Who not to define it but one who brought it to fruition in Italy. I guess extremem capitalism is just another way of saying the same thing. We have become a corporatacracy, with the lobbyists dictacting legislation and policy.

(cont. from below)
As for the content of this particular video, it is the most boring yet. You said nothing that 10,000 other people haven't already said. You should address issues that aren't so tired and you should say things that aren't so cliché.
If the quotation slip-up has already been mentioned, "my bad." I didn't really feel like doing the research to back up what I had to say--you can obviously empathize with that.
apedelmiele 4 years ago
I failed to do research to back up a 'tired' and 'cliché' video? I suppose your opinions are either unique from billions of other individuals or you never say a word.
Is that it, or are you referring to the misattributed quote again?
As for it being 'boring', the word is meaningless to me and if my intent was to entertain I would be seeking to be paid for it.
Saerain 4 years ago
Your attribution of the line "and you could have it all; my empire of dirt" to Johnny Cash (who had nothing to do with the writing of the song "Hurt") is incorrect. Trent Reznor (of Nine Inch Nails) is the true author and original singer of the song and the quotation should rightfully be attributed to him. Quite an oversight.
apedelmiele 4 years ago
I never paid attention to either men, but I last heard the song from Cash. My apologies. I would edit it if I could.
Saerain 4 years ago
Also, Bush is nowhere near a fascist. Why not go out and try to get laid? You may find that even more fulfilling than ranting about things you are not near qualified to talk about.

I don't feel as significant as people seem to think I do. Not nearly. I don't mean to report news or offer fresh insight, I simply mean to communicate. Put something out there. Let it float around. Saerain 4 years ago
That was actually the reply I was hoping for.

TrogloBundle 4 years ago
But they haven't have they...and those act ARE, AREN'T THEY.

Have you even read it? It just shifts responsibility in the event of a national catastrophe from FEMA or whoever to the President, under the condition that he maintains all three branches of government, among other things. If you google "supreme court news" you will find plenty of instances of the Supreme Court putting Bush down.

CityzenJane 4 years ago
It absolutely could not happen, but it is a scary thought. Looking at the current political stage and the realities of politics in general, one can figure out that a Bush dictatorship is absolutely not possible. On the other hand, you are dead on about corporate fascism. I wish more people were aware of corporate fascism.
kanidana 4 years ago
It is very reasonable to be concerned at this development. While it is true that the current president of the american empire is not popular, the waves of idiocy which occurred after both 9/11 and during the lead up to the Iraq invasion could certainly be reproduced with the right "crisis." Ultimately, unpopular dictatorships go on and on elsewhere in the world, so we cannot rule out the possibility that this could happen here.

999bob666 4 years ago
He who controls the fate of America controls the fate of the world. I agree with you on most of your points but personally I feel that the Bush administration just isn't cunning or intelligent enough to create a dictatorship. Our country is not in a state where are dictatorship can be formed. Are economy is good (more or less), we are not in the midst of a crisis which threatens our nation's existence (yet), and public opinion is completely against the president. (part 1)
AthynKronos 4 years ago
For one to effectively create a dictatorship at least a couple of the fore mentioned things must be occuring. It is the people who create the dictator and not the dictator himself. The most important thing that a dictator needs to gain power is he must have the hearts and minds of the people.
AthynKronos 4 years ago
No person is a better example of this than Adolf Hitler. He gained the love of his people while the German economy was in ruin and used the governmental system to make himself Fuhrer. So in closing, while it does often seem that Bush is trying to name himself dictator and highly doubt that he and his administration have the intelligence and support that is needed. (part 3, end)
AthynKronos 4 years ago
Ultimately, I probably agree with you, though I'm not so convinced that Hitler's administration was particularly more cunning. We often look back on military leaders of the past, no matter our moral judgement of them, as coldly logical geniuses compared to our modern warlords, but the strategies of government and tactics/logistics of war were quite different during the Second World War, and certainly further back from there.
Saerain 4 years ago
