Movie was perfect until Max got burned. Afterwards he got way too over the top and the goofy sound effects and him talking to the camera destroyed the mood..scene kind of went nowhere for a while also, just a bunch of waves and them falling around. Still damn good film though, possibly De Niro's best performance, definitely top 5.
