blackberry has a quicker UI interface. iphones tend to lag a lot when moving in and out of apps. blackberry's framerate is greater than iPhone's, but the iPhone's interactivity with photos makes it more fun. iPhone has a lot more apps and a bigger app community than Blackberry. But with constant firmware updates, iPhones are more unstable and can get buggy very easily. Blackberry is quicker and more stable. iPhones are more interactive and fun. in the end - PERSONAL CHOICE

One obvious omission of detail that deserve one hell of a mention is that the original poster's fridge comparison uses very steady camera work. But on the iphone (and even though he's not moving around a whole lot), you can clearly see that the iphone is dropping frames (it appears to be rolling at 15fps) as opposed to the blackberry which seems to be doing the full 25fps.

id choose the blackberrry just because it isnt retarded in that it takes video in a more formal letterbox looking format, fullscreen, something we are used to. unlike the iphone where, to make it look more presentable, apple decided to make it video at iphone screen resolution. sure it looks good on the device itself but turns to absolute crap on anything else with a normal sized screen.

Megapixels doesn't matter about picture quality. It's actually the lense, the chipset, etc. The fact that the iPhone's camera looks better is because it has a better quality camera. I'm not being biased because I got the Bold 9700, which I prefer over the 3GS for personal reasons.

2. The problem with comparing these two phones is, you can get a blackberry for 1 cent on amazon with a 2 year contract, versus 200-300 dollars for the iphone, only from att/apple. Barely worse quality for 200 dollars less? Sign me up. Plus I have big fingers and I've seen videos of people trying to touch some of the smaller icons on the iphone. What a joke. Blackberry makes touch screen phones look like a toy.

Another good video, you can clearly see the better quality on the iPhone 3GS, to be fair despite it's limited megapixels, my 3G is not too bad. And Photoshop for free (on the iPhone OS) is a nice little app

I agree about the picture quality, but the framerate is much better and smoother on the blackberry. I don't think I'll be giving up my iPhone any time soon though: the keys on those blackberrys are made for 5 year olds. I can't type on one.

Its not all about getting free paid for apps.

It makes the iPhone so much easier to use you can do things like multi tasking and connecting to your computer wirelesly.
