@TroniPhile Yea, it was a full server rack cabinet, but I removed the sides since they would have blocked my bedroom window. I don't use the upper ventilation either, since it's so noisy.
That's a lot of noise for a small room, I will put an air condition on that window instead those fans. I have 3 of those units from HP and I really don't like the noise that made.
Nice rack! XD I love the sound the fans make! But isn't the Compaq 9000 supposed to have a door and sides? Did you just take them off?

I would guess there is no on/off switch because they never want the fans to go off and overheat the equipment right?

I've got the same rack but mine doesn't have the fans.
