xfps 3.0 sniper is choppy and had an Up and Down zip-zag isue on xbox 360 COD world? at war. making it impossible to aim accurately. It was a waste of money for me. I wouldn't buy it again. No option for switching buttons for a lefty. mouse wheel roll up/down doesn't work in custom config only in default config. GRADE: C
why not just get a computer for gaming heres my reasons why 1. dont have to pay for online (except for internet) 2. can buy xbox 360 controller for it to play games. 3.better graphics (depends on what computer/graphics card etc.)
I love my xfps. I have 1080 plus head shots on call of duty MW2 on my secons prestege. My only complaint is it wont pass the audio through it for my turtle beach headset and so I'm not using it and my speakers dont sound as good.
Anyone know if they make one of these that has the audio???????
@AL3XTH3LARG3 i am in the process of getting an xbox with an xfps 3 sniper plus. i have heard the same about turtle beach h/phones not working ( this is due to lack of power to the usb ). only thing i can think of is to plug the wired controller into the other available usb port and see if that works because once you have set the controls the xfps it keeps it in memory, so no need to have controller plugged into xfps. if it does let me know.
Where dead zone is necessary for thumbsticks, it is terrible for mice. Mice don't have the same rest-position problems as thumbsticks and the slightest movement is tracked by a mouse. At a minimum, a constant value needs to be added to any mouse movement that occurs to compensate for the dead zone. Otherwise, small movements wouldn't register and your movement will constantly "stall" if you aren't moving the mouse fast enough.
this is totally smart. I have played sniper games in PC for years and I bought an xbox (cuz I didn't want to update my PC). But the stick is just not right... I feel like when I aim the view jumps in discrete intervals, whereas with a mouse the movements are smooth.
Mouse input with the XFPS or an XIM working through it hangs around 35ms. Depending on the input lag of the screen used, the additional 35ms can go from being unnoticeable to breaking gameplay. Again, it depends much on whether your screen has low or high input lag. TNs will be fine, some IPS panels will work well and some wont, MVA and PVA panels can be problematic.
What you are probably seeing in this demonstration as mouse lag is actually a deadzone issue with Crackdown, as the game has a rather large one that the XFPS doesn't match well, making small mouse movements not register. Besides its large deadzone, Crackdown is a very slow game and the low sensitivity does not translate well to mouse control. Even trying to play it with an XIM2 is a hassle.
lol if you need to use a mouse to perfect ur sniping u obviously are SHIT at the game. lol so in other words ur just gettin people to buy a wire and the xfps block. why not just face the fact that ur shit at snipin, and do sumfin about it, like GET BETTER
In the instructional video, it says that you need to connect your WIRED Xbox 360 joystick to the XFPS, but what do you do if you dont have a wired joystick, only the wireless ones?
The keyboard/mouse setup is far superior in terms of accuracy and control. Even though the 360 has USB, why do you think MS refused to allow keyboard and mouse control out of the box? Because they did tests and found that even lame players using k/m could kick the butt of a seasoned played using a gamepad. I read that they didn't want that kind of imbalance in online gaming due purely to control scheme, so they refuse to offer it. Which is why we have XCM finally filling the void.
The gamepad is superior in only one respect: analog control of walking speed. In the typical WASD config, you only have on/off control, plus usually a walk modifier which toggles running or walking. Finer control over movement speed is available with a gamepad analog stick. Which is why i like some of the PS2 controller offerings which combine a mouse with a left-hand analog stick for movement. That's the perfect combo, in my opinion.
It all depends on familiarity. I have much more experience with using a mouse and keyboard, and can perform better with them than I can with a controller. Also, how the XFPS translates mouse movement into analog control is a far cry from the accuracy you have with a mouse in a PC game. Without drivers for the mouse, the XFPS is usually an inferior means of control, but that doesn't mean it's always the worse choice because its usefulness is based entirely off the player's ability.
Keyboards and mouses arnt used for the consoles, because k/m is for hard core gamers with skill. The manufactures like MS and Sony does not want casual users to get turned off by skilled players.
Or they happen to cost $10-$15 for ones that actually work well enough to allow use in gaming. Sony and Microsoft don't produce any "official" keyboards and mice, so there goes at least $15 from everyone who picks up a keyboard and mouse instead of a controller.
Neither company produces an official mouse or keyboard for their respective consoles (only Logitech is marketing actual keyboards designed for the PS3 while the closest thing Sony and Microsoft offer is their controller/thumbpad hybrids), and even if they did, consumers would not be limited to first-party hardware with universal mouse and keyboard support. Try again.
@CEOrko No official gaming keyboards currently exist from Microsoft. Microsoft manufactures amazing gaming Mice. Whether you mean 'official' by compatible with the xbox without XFPS is unknown to me. But as I know, Microsoft produces keyboards and Gaming Mice. Such as the SideWinder.
No i looked at some reviews, apparently if u use this thing with crackdown it just isn't that sensitive and crackdown is messed so u can't change the sensitivity well.
I have the sniper pro version, and It's helped me regain my dignity playing 360 fps games.
Some things to be aware of.
.You need a first generation wired controller to set your own controls, but it connects with any wired controller, rockband and GH equipment for example.
.When zoomed in, it's a little jerky, but maybe fixable
.Driving, in halo 3 specifically, is difficult.
.Small delay.
.There's no headset jack, it doesn't work with the controller either, so you need a wireless headset.
You can't recustomize the left analog stick on the 360 controller (left, right, up & down), which is permanently mapped to the WASD keys on your keyboard. You also cannot reprogram the 360 controller's right analog stick (left, right, up & down), which is mapped to your mouse. The directional button on the 360 controller (up & down) is permanently mapped to the mouse's wheel analogue (up & down).
For those of you who wish to change any of the settings I have mentioned, too bad.
i have the 360 pro version and its absolute crap for sniping, skips all over the screen when trying to pinpoint things, close range works just fine though, I hope that This version will be better cause Ill just go and sell mine on ebay instead.
But see the latest product in the game store, I bought it~
After the testing, I found that there's 0.4second delay on the mouse movement~
I think it's good at first person shooting, but not suitable at 3rd shooting like Gears Of War. I don't know how bad for the previous version as I hadn't use this product. Now I am considering sold out
I just ordered one of these on ebay literally about 15 minutes ago. Should be in within 3 or 4 days. Can you tell me, does this new version have a deadspot problem like the previous versions?
I paid 100€ for that. Didnt like it. If you turn relly fast sometimes it turns the other way... anyway its crappy.

Can you change the DeadZone with XFPS 3.0 Sniper?

It's called deadzone.
