The setup and the crispiness are because it's Fodera...both the sound and the low action are their signature. You'd have to get a custom builder to get the action that low, and you have to go with a Mike Pope onboard preamp and EMG P/Js. An alder or ash body, maple neck, and maple or ebony fretboard would certainly help you get the sound you want.
