  • question is, does anyone have a real footage of what they demoed

all I see for years across the internet and various blogs, what Mojave was

and what they did to/with people but nowhere do I found any picture or video clips

of what kind of demo it was

  • Though Vista has so many issues, I have an Alienware desktop running Windows Vista Ultimate SP2. It runs very well, and I also have the same desktop running Windows XP Professional x64, still more stable, yet no where near the speed and media features. I never get any major problems with Vista and its never crashed.

  • fail vista is just fine lawl noob

  • You got some high specs on your pc, a gamer would like to have that machine.

Microsoft is in the business of making money, why else would they try forcing people onto this lemon of an OS called Vista??

If i ever get tired of Linux, or start having issues with it, you can bet i will gladly invest in a Mac.

Why not downgrade to WinXP PRO? You would get your speed, and performance back ten-fold.

  • no ProblemO

  • if you like buying YEAR AFTER YEAR OF SPY AND VIRUS PROTECTION and fast for like 2 weeks then progreessively SLOWER AND SLOWER REALLY GAY. WINDOWS SUCKS.

  • @FinallyFASTSUCKS There is no reason why you'd want to keep getting a paid copy year after year, but instead you can get stuff like the highly rated avast! Free Antivirus, and Microsoft Security Essentials. And my recommendation on computers? Well I just use Macs and PCs.

  • Nice video.

  • Thanks for watching

  • From a standpoint of a technician, vista is quite annoying, borderline intolerable. If you can get past the UAC, and everything being an extra 6 steps, and it being significantly slower, its OK.. Also all of the problems with network devices, Memory warnings when installing network printers, random problems finding network pc's, import problems in windows mail, slow transfers, etc.. If anything, Vista is great for open source and Mac, because it causes people to look for alternatives.

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • Good video, every time I see mojave on tv. I want to throw my keyboard at it, hate the music and the people on it. I use ubuntu linux at home and at work it has to be windows xp, my manager tried vista and the programs we use at the casino hardly work. Also my mother is 65 and uses ubuntu. Eat that microsoft. ^^

  • Thanks for the comment

  • wait, so windows mojave is the same exact thing as windows vista? so u just tricked the people to thinking that it was a different software?

  • Yep that's the idea. Thaks for the comment.

  • your video card sucksssss!!!!

  • Why yes it does..

  • haha sorry, I meant the people who partook in the mojave project...

  • how can you rate something you've never even used??

  • Who said I didn't use Vista? I have a Vista Ultimate box I use every day.

  • Great video exactly the point ive been trying to make. Unless your buying a new machine (which having vista will probly up the price of this machine by 200 dollars compared to xp)Theres totaly no reason to upgrade to vista for another 150 dollars. The only reason windows xp was successful in the first place was due to the great new features it had compared to 98. The user control system, drivers stayed compatibile it was more user friendly. Vista is just doing the opposite of xps success.

  • every thing that people say bad about vista never seems to happens to me i love visn and it's way better than xp to me. vista works for me AND I LIKE IT

  • No No it was Windows 95. Just kidding thanks for the comment.

  • i really want to switch to mac vista gets on my nerves and nvidia cards clashes with it !

  • why go to mac just use windows xp works great

  • Thanks for your comment

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • I think if Apple could get people to try OS X in its own "Mojave Experiment" I think they would get a very similar reaction. I think the main reason most people are scared to try a Mac is because of what they have been told.

  • Thanks for the comment! Nor being a gamer myself, I can't say how good or bad Direct X 10 is. My hunch a PlayStation 3 or X box 360 is a better gaming device than a PC anyway.

  • Thats also what I have been telling people that cite playing games as their reason for wanting Vista.

  • LOL I just bought my grandson a used Play Station 2, used games from $2.00 to 10.00 ..He's happy, my wallets happier, the games look OK to me. -FrugalTech

  • well for me there are a decent amount of games that go only to pc and are simply more fun to play with pc controls (at least I think) but if your into gaming and you want to do it the cheapest way possible, that would be a xbox 360 but I prefer computer gaming and gaming pc's building

  • For now anyways, wont be that way for long

  • Lord, Ain't that the truth...

  • yep same here. but, i need to give my 360 a rest. i dont use it lkike non-stop but if i get on it (which is like once a day) its for a while.

  • Thanks for your post!

  • Actually another thing i observed is that those who say vista is good are either microsoft employees (actual most of them hate it too), or they are dumb users, who just write word documents and thats it, so as long as you are dumb and fool, you will like vista.

  • Lets not forget about DX10 gamers.

  • So never upgrade to VISTA , please if you are on XP please stay there VISTA is the worst operating system of the century.

  • Agreed 100%

  • Thanks for you comment. I dunno I thought Windows ME holds the title, then again maybe not..

  • ME = windows 9x = crap.....windows 2000\xp is a good way to go!

  • Seems like windows vista might have been based off of windows ME, Its like windows ME 2

  • one of the biggest thing is that i am literally suffering with vista, there are some bad decisions that have gone into it .. after 6 years of lax work.

For example i have my c:\windows\winsxs which has duplicate dlls a lot of them, just so that differnt versions are kept, the only problem, it keeps growing every day, i just have 2 GB free in my 30GB primary and there is no way to increase it , i tried everything. Now i stopped hibernation to save 2GB. Is there any tool to clean the folder ? NO

  • mines is windows vista hp

  • Thats because they tested all the people that is not experienced with computers at all. They were so surprised with the simplest things that they have on xp as well.

  • Than you for your comment

  • Im curious to see there videos of before and after showing these people how to operate a microwave..

  • Windows XP is the best. Everyone who uses Vista or Mac OSX is retarded.

  • You should try Mac OSX, you might be suprised, Alot of thought went into that OS. I am not a mac user, but I can see the logic in the design of that operating system, especially giving people a terminal, that allows linux users to have familiar grounds too..

  • if you would look at that white computer in the backgrond its a imac

  • I Currently have Vista Home Basic Windows vista Ultimate on two seperate Basic Runs better Less features Plus i had to upgrade my whole computer Ram Hardrive everything then when i installed everything it crashed and warrnty only cover what was in it when i bought it i currantly have windows vista home basic upgrade edition PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU WANT IT

  • Thanks for the comment

  • Thanks for your comment. Vista doesn't always play nice with certain Microsoft business apps that we use. Example is Dynamics CRM 3.0 plugin for Outlook 2007, as well as Small MOA Professional 2007.

  • i just got a vista because i got it with my new hp m8100n and i love it its great, but i it was a little annoying having to get a lot of upgrades but im loving my vista

  • Thanks for your comment

  • how much

  • What are you referring to?

  • Do you run Vista 64, or Vista 32? What I'm concerned about is whether using 64 bits on Vista will outweigh the Vista hardware requirements. I used XP 64 for a while, but I had driver issues. I went back to XP 32 and I still have some driver issues. But XP 64 is definitely faster, when it works.

  • Thanks for the comment. I run the 32 bit version. I have both, and I will install the 64 bit version on my "new" refurbished PC next spring.

  • have you ever used a linux distrobution as a main/secondary operating system? I use Debian, Ubuntu, and Deli Linux on 2 computers.

  • I don't run Linux on my desktops, but I do have an Ubuntu Server, and a Cent O/S Server.

  • this may sound stupid but i don't really care what kind of brand i buy....

i got a sony vaio and people say it sucks but w/e as long as i have a running computer then im happy :]

stop battling for the top. o.O

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • No problems yet.

My computer is so old that I had to get a new one and had no choice but to get vista.

  • Thanks for the comment, are you entitled to downgrade rights? are XP drivers available for your new machine? Or are you happy with Vista?

  • MACS RULE..... PERIOD!!!!!! i have both and nothing compares to osx. I love XP like vista and am emotionally attached to osx!!!!! When you first buy a mac it is weird but a couple days later you wlll wonder why you have never had one of these machines!!!! I promise

  • Hah is that you Steve Jobs? Too bad there is no 3rd party apps for OSX huh? Monopoly Apple won't have that! Hope you don't game either huh! You'll be playing 3yr old stuff. Same with linux, unless you're a command line junkie, there is no point. You can watch media and write a document, wow. I triboot Vista ulti/XpSP3/Server 2k8. Took the macbook to the shooting range! Moral is 95% of the world uses M$. Takes too much time for peeps to figure out linux.

  • Some good points. But if Vista Ultimate has too many features that you don't use then why use Vista Ultimate, you should just use Vista Home Premium.

  • Thanks for the comment. Microsoft provided the Ultimate Edition to me as part of ou Action Pack subscription, as we are a Microsoft partner. The Home Premium Edition also, won't join a domain.

  • they picked up Street people, not PC users, but the regular Cleaning woman, corner whore, etc...

  • I run a Vista Ultimate gaming box (going on almost 7 months) with a Q6600, 4Gb of ram, 8800GT, 250gb HDD on a 22"WS Acer monitor, and I have yet to have anything other than a small snag with DX10 support, but when it comes down to it, thats the software developer's problem, not Microsoft. Now, Im obviously a power user, but like you said in the video, there's no reason to push off XP if you already have it.

Mojave or not, there is nothing wrong with Vista. Learn2computer.

  • I never had a problem with vista, and I dont use media center, it sucks, but Vista is still releasing updates so those glitches and bugs will be fixed, but I never had a problem, it is still as fast as when I bought it a few months ago.

  • same

  • I am not saying I don't believe you, but I have vista on my dell XPS laptop, and all of the issues you said you experience with Vista have never happened to me. I print, use browsers, edit photos, instant message etc without a single problem. In fact, I've heard over and over on youtube videos/web articles across the net about people who experience quirky vista issues, and I am astonished because it has just never been a problem for me.

  • Thanks for your comment.

  • Thanks for the comment, and I agree with you about Linux - FrugalTech

  • Sorry...I use Vista and Im a Net Engineer but I use predominately Ubuntu Linux..It's free, no virus issues and Open Office it free. IMO...

  • MS probably got the same dumb ass advertising firm who did the whopper experiment, that kind of advertising is so lame. Clearly for stupid people. the only ones who hate vista are people who get the most of XP. Even you mention lots of software you don't even use. besides i have met not a single person who uses media center. Vista sucks. Mojave sucks.

    I agree, Ugly marketing.

  • Thanks for the comment ignae!

  • yes but did you see the whopper experiment in the Ghetto

    check it out

    watch?v=WVm84MD4vU4

  • Thanks for the comment

  • I'll take my macbook and OSX any day.

Why would we pay for a hacked up, dummed down version of vista when you could get OSX, a 64 bit OS, standard. Not to mention, vista is a ram hog and everyone knows it. I want to have the ability to run my computer on 1gb of ram. And being able to use OSX on 3-5 year old machines without problems. I'm not trying to flame, but I think vista is a TOTAL joke

  • Thanks for your comment. OSX is an excellent operating system. For some Vista seems to be just fine. The question at hand, is it a compelling "upgrade? I don't think it is.

  • I agree completely. And now, you have to deal with the upgrade to SP1. Microsoft has now released an upgrade that doesn't work with some components. I have personally spend 3 hours online with tech support to install it on my windows laptop. It is only a year old, but won't install. How amusing!

  • Soon Its comming WINDOWS SEVEN ;)

  • Thanks for the comment. Windows 7 will be here sooner than we think, I'll bet.

  • January 2010 will it come out ;)

  • Well, it's more of what you're using it for, I suppose.

I use Vista Home Premium, and I have no real complaints. The only thing I don't like is how it asks you for permission to do anything at all, but it does save my ass sometimes.

I mainly use it for recording music, saving music, and, of course, internet. I don't do any real business on it, so I probably wouldn't run into your same problems.

To sum it up, I don't see why people complain about Vista so much. I had XP, and I love Vista.

  • From a gamers point of view vista does indeed sucks. Dx10 is worth checking out. But Some games makes you jump through hoops to install. And no top of that, there have been MICROSOFT HARDWARE.. THAT WAS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS VISTA. Look it up, that's true.

if microsift cant't make it easier/more compatible to use hardware/software INCLUDING THEIR OWN, i dont want their new product.

xp works well for me/ "don't fix what's not broken"

  • Thanks for your comment!

  • vista not reacting well is cause you are using an hp, not cause it's vista

  • Thanks for the comment. My Dell E520 didn't like Vista either. We upgraded it to XP Pro

  • About the installing applications thing not being much easier... you have a Mac behind you, it's a perfect example of how to install things with 2 clicks. Click and drag the .app icon to the desktop and tada it's installed once it's copied the files. Drag it to the trash to uninstall. Can't get much easier.

  • Well said! Thanks - FrugalTech

  • I have been using Vista since its release and I learned to love Vista and I continue to use it. SP1 made it even smoother...

I admit compatibility might be an issue for some, but I didn't really into that. In fact, my old Visual Studio 6.0 worked in Vista with no problems.

Gaming for example, you can't play ANY DirectX 10 on Windows XP. You will need Windows Vista. I personally don't really play high-end games (I game on Xbox 360), but I admit Vista "HAS" advantages over XP.

  • DX10 is something of a flop in the development community. Many game develoeprs dislike it due to having to spend large amounts of time to implement things that would take a fraction of the time on DX9 and look as good. The results:time taken ratio is far too high for most developers which is why many if not most are still creating games with a DX9 API from the ground up evne now. The other factor is the audience is larger with DX9. 10 offers no big real advantages over 9, much like Vista voer XP

  • Thanks for the comment. Since I am not a gamer, I tend to look at Vista more on a business environment.

  • Thanks for your comment!

  • u have the blue snow ball usb mic , i always want one

  • Thanks for the comment. Yes the mic is great and worth the money. Unfortunately it doesn't work well with Vista.

  • If you don't like it, don't use it. Others use it 15 hours a day and love it. The world's big enough for both.

  • Thanks for posting your comment

  • Thanks for commenting on this video. Vista of course works well for some people. The real question is it a compelling upgrade? For some gamers yes defiantly, but for small businesses it is hard to justify.

  • yeah, the features in vista, doesn't really appeal to regular customers. But in the pc-gamers its a must have, Dx10, better sound quality, since all the drivers have been upgraded. It organizes all your games, Vista only games such as Halo 2 are awesome, ofcourse you can get an xp crack, but that it isn't legal, nor does it run good ( I have tried)

    Windows Vista Home Premium

    on a Dell Xps 400

    1.5 gig of ram

    Nvidia Geforce 7300 Le

    220gigs of space

Its not a full out gaming comp, but it runs well

  • Thanks for the comment

  • Vista Ultimate is really good, I use it on a Pentium 4 HT 3GHz and 1.5GB Ram and it runs perfectly :)

  • Thanks for your comment

  • cool

  • Thanks!

  • I have Vista, I just find the UAC annoying, I turn it off, I have Vista Basic...

I like XP, less RAM needed, XP is not annoying, and it's more user friendly and easier to use than Vista...

but that's my opinion, so this isn't attacking people who like Vista...

  • vista is easier to use...and it has better security, maybe ur turning UAC off wrong, go to msconfig, go Tools, and Launch Disable UAC :)

  • Thanks for your comment, I have to disagree about being easier to use. For a person who is familiar to XP, Vista has made some changes, that I think makes learning the new OS a bit more difficult. An example is changing Add/Remove Programs to "Programs And Features" Was theat necessary or was it change for changes sake?

  • Thanks for the comment.

The video is really about Microsoft's attempt to blame bloggers, and other tech people for a negative view of Vista. They are not blaming themselves for things like lack of driver model support at launch, allowing laptop manufactures to claim Vista compatibility, when in fact they were woefully underpowered.

The participants of the experiment were given a DEMO of Vista, rather than the experience of running an upgrade or finding the features themselves.

  • nice video

  • thanks for the comment!

  • Nvidia 7300 is a little old, maybe you should think about getting a 9500GT?

  • Thanks for the comment. This particular machine shipped with a small 300 Watt PSU. So, I think I'll make it due for another year, and invest in a great refurb with much better specs.
