  • That squat is impossible to do without a machine

  • Listen, i am no complainer, but what you are saying and doing is downright wrong and dangerous. Doing squats in a smith machine with a straight spine in this position, can cause you serious injuries. It is a well know fact by now!. But maybe you have a reason for it?

  • All those Guys with the negative comments are the biggest Idiots themselfes.

  • Why are you using a smith machine? I have read lots about Smith machines and generally it is better to use free weights and a squat rack to allow your body to work more stability muscles and to move in a more natural motion.

  • You only weight 70kg? Why not like 80kg, you would look really good. Or you just wana stay 70kg?

  • @Metal0Boy look at his body fat percentage...he is muscle only (and probably not to tall either)...therefore 70kg is a good weight.

  • Dude is ripped up in the beginning! Good work! But really, these squats are bitch.

  • If any1 wants to do this, an easier way is to leg press, same movement, definitely not a squat tho

  • @Kkuk84 this one is still superior because you use some core muscles as well that you don't use in a leg press...still like the legpress though

  • haha huge trolling dude nice work

  • lol is this a joke or u mean it?dont tell me u squat on a smith machine like this! :o

  • My definsive tackle is maxing out at 375 on squat at 14 years old in 8th grade...Im maxing at at 220, and i weigh about 165...what should i be squatting?

  • Need train forearm.

  • Hang on, arn't these called Hack Squats, of which there is a speciic machine or them.

  • Smith machine squats are bullshit ! In every way they are inferior to real squats , plus , i would NEVER recommend them to anyone who do anything that require strength and functionality like sport !

  • Isn't this the same movement like leg press? I mean, why bother doing squats like that, on the smith, and put yourself in risk of injury. Why not do these on leg presses, and do the regular squats. BTW, not hating, just curious.

  • @kritas01.

Who said he can? He probably has back problems from regular sqats.

I squat pretty heavy... But i love doing smith squats when my back doesn't feel that good and i don't feel like squatting big weights on freeweights.

  • @huntermuscle26.

Actually, this kind of squats are really gonna target your quads....

  • LMAO!! Do that without the Smith Machine!!!

  • shut up and squat.. quit smith that sucks and go heavy, use bandages

  • I hate reading comments cuz all you notice are the hater comments...."you're doing it this way, you're doing it that way" acting like you know. Grow some balls and make you're own video and show the world you're righteous way! Fucking everyone becomes an expert and info becomes so diluted and no one really finds out how. So the good information gets diluted between the people who are trying to psychologically elevate them selves by always trying to find flaws in other people

  • I don't think any of you guys know anybody about the quadriceps. A narrow stance, feet straight, hits the vastus lateralis to a harder area than the rest of the quadriceps. Meanwhile, a wide stance, with your feet angled out farther, will hit the vastus medialis and the adductors to a greater degree. There are movements for upper/lower quadricep specifics, but since you guys are "experts," you can handle that one on your own!

  • @huntermuscle26 what you say is totally the opposite of what happens my friend ;)

  • @luimarco

Ive heard that is better to do high reps on legs

  • @luimarco

Fail logic. You will certainly get more results by squatting with free weights. Arnold did a lot of thing wrong too, but in his era there wasn't much information like today. He got the results cause he worked very hard and had good genetics, but with better information, he would get the results sooner.

Anywayz, you got a good body, respect.

  • @luimarco why do you have your feet so close to eachother? I usually stand wider, but I'm sure you have your reasons (and obviously it works).

  • vexed

  • maybe its just me, and i know you are obviously a professional and have been doing this longer than me, but aren't your feet and knees supposed to be shoulder width apart?

  • @AnonymousLightbulb that's another good variant which i do as well

  • @luimarco Alright thanks, I was just curious

  • ps your glutes are not going lower than your kness lol

  • Dude also you got to work on your upper chest trust me on that

  • @zOzzYz ????

  • @zOzzYz He Means Your Peck's they need to be more Length wise yours are to close together they need to be spread out more you'd look a lot better doing those kind of lifting. It may make you big in a way of movement but there's many ways to over come the size with speed, I kinda had that thought in my head so I tried doing a lot of fighting with weights in my hand's the more you get used to fighting with weights the more fast you'd become really cool when you get the hang of it.

  • ah my bad wrong person to reply to...

  • @zOzzYz That is genetics man. He can't fill it up.

  • What 's that shit ?

  • didnt kno that! thanks for sharing this gonna try it out! ;)

  • @MrRae101

Uh...why would this video be fore normal people looking to get in shape or build strength? He's a body builder, so is Dorian Yates. This is an isolation exercise meant to target the quads, which it will do much better than a free weight squat.

Free weight squats are undoubtedly better for strength training and powerlifting. Neither of those is what this video is aimed at. If you were doing squats with normal form in a Smith machine, you'd be at risk of injury. These are different.

  • Comment removed

  • your body looks good but your forearms r just tooooooo small small for your body mass,

  • lol in the backround it 'break your heart

  • that practically hack squats

  • Smith Machines are horrible for your knees when you squat bc of the unnatural movement... just get on a squat rack and pump them out

  • Comment removed

  • can't lie, i come for his voice

  • What is that you're doing? .. you call that deep??? try free barbel squats and go ASS TO GRASS, it will punish you glutes. you should also consider to do 20rep squats atleast they worked for me.. i've also noticed in your other vids that your forearms are really small, do some deadlifts WITHOUT straps

  • @Claktus you sir said it all lol. that is not deep he probably uses that knee pad because all the pressure is on his knees due to the fact. he isnt going deep lol and i had problems with my forearms too but deadlifting and bent rows helped

  • these are not true squats

  • You know what . That are not deep squats , thats absolute pussy squats . You dont balance the weight , the movement is unnatural , you use a sissy pad . Try free barbell squats and then talk to me . Pussy .

  • @eugenenikolov you fail life

  • I agree with the guy at the comments your "squats" are not here is how to do some serious squats watch?v=zYddZUIzJ9g

  • He's My Bitch.

  • You can do exactly same thing, on a leg press machine without loading your spine.

In a Real squat you have to bend forward with the barbell on your shoulders, so i consider this a leg press and not a squat.

  • @MrRae101 Arnold Schwarzenegger himself, through around 35 years of lifting recommends both.

  • @steroidzr4loserz He can also barbell squat over 500 lbs and was a pro bodybuilding. I'm not a smith squat hater, I just really believe that for overall strength and muscle development barbell squats are a must.

  • @MrRae101 I know this, I myself prefer the barbell squat. You're saying only barbell squats, he's saying only machines, combine it. Make more sense? Yes, barbell squats are a MUST. There is no replacement for heavy barbell squats.

  • "concidered cheating", the only one you cheat is yourself :ss

  • @MrRae101 thank you for sharing your view but i highly disagree

  • Ok fair enough, Im trying to argue I just strongly believe free bar is the way to go. Why do you think smith squats are better? Btw have you ever read stonglifts 5x5?

  • @luimarco hi sir i m happy that u r here for helping us .i want to know that my friend said me last weak that food suplements are dangerous for sexual areas .mean that food suplements and protien powders are harmfull for sperms and sexuall power decreas pla tell me about the disadvatage es of supplemetns and protien powders uts true that these are harful awaitting ur positive responce

  • @ziasaab1 lol he is confusing supplements with Steroids! nonsensical your friend

  • Lucy I'm home!!

  • That looks like the same movement you would do on a leg press.

  • isn´t that bad for your knees if you go deep like that??

  • fuck shittest squats ever what a weak cu*t

  • Smith machine + sissy pad, NICE JOB!

  • Great work. Congratulations.

  • This guy is a bodybuilder. It says it right there on the video. Of course he's not going to squat ATG free weight like a power lifter or Olympic lifter. I don't agree with the way he squats, but bodybuilders have their own way of training different from PLs and OLs.

  • @aceofsorrow you got it! ;) we target muscle shape, not the raw poundage

  • @luimarco I am an IFPA certified personal fitness trainer and teen bodybuilder, yr squatting technique bro all wrong. BUT yr looking in great shape so i guess it works for u. Cheers.

  • @nick121094 teen bodybuilder & personal trainer? oh lol.

No shit sherlock, ofc his squat technique is way of.

  • @luimarco

so ronnie coleman was wrong when he used to free weight squat? damn i wonder what he secretly did to achieve his multiple olympia winning champion legs...R-TARDS!

  • @aceofsorrow There isn't a body builder in my area that uses a smith machine instead of free weight. Bodybuilders use free weights.

This guy isn't a bodybuilder. He's a pussy who doesn't even do real squats.

  • Natural looks much better...

  • the haters make me laugh this guy is fucking perfect. lol keep it up!

  • @paulrpmg thanks mate

  • wtf im sorry there's no way you're 5' 10.5" I'm that same height and 169 pounds, with 7-8 percent BF. You're obviously wayyyy more jacked than I am so you must be shorter than you say, probably 5' 8.5". Also there's NO WAY you have 17 pounds less fat than I do and still be able to have more muscle... Not trying to argue here but I think you haven't measured your height in like 10 years

  • @adamkalle lol, you'renot the First one who doubts my weight. Even My Wife Thinks that am made with Helium ;)

  • why dont you squat like normal men do

  • @biggmoneyme i prefer doing them like SuperMen rather

  • @luimarco its more efficient to squat the way youre doing them with your legs so close together....perfect kinetic chain....rips the quads, glutes, etc. up so much more than the wider stance that "normal men" typically use

  • I will laugh when you blow your knees out and crack your vertebrae's by going 90 degrees. All it takes is 45-60. You cannot go deep without hurting yourself, this is how I hurt myself.

  • @Kristakis123 then you'll Never Laugh Bro, keep waiting

  • @luimarco You'll see.

  • @Kristakis123 That is false. Stopping before getting to 90 (or going past for that matter) puts more compressive stress on the meniscus and causes it to where out. This aside, very few people have good squatting form anyway--but this guy knows what he's doing (letting the machine stabilize the weight while he's isolating the quadriceps).

  • wat do u eat to keep ur bf low?

  • @pspman2007 check out my diet plan on facebook bro

  • @luimarco i cheat all the time and gain good muscle size matter fact when i cheat i gain much better muscle size then not cheating, every bodys different and what?

  • front squats are better

  • Nice work man...Really Impressive....

  • i wouldnt say that normal squats are risky, but jesus christ youv done well considering your bodyweight+the exercise! how tall are you? i believe i seen in the corner that you weigh 70kgs?

  • @Flankermatty94 5.10 and half and i weigh 152 lbs

  • @luimarco fair play bro! keep up the good work! wouldnt mind seeing a bicep workout of yours either

  • good job! Montreal?

  • @themomo6710 yes sir

  • Isn't that the ski squat?

  • mmm, squats on smith machine. You're losing out mate! Hit regular squats if you want the full benefits.

  • @artthoudarkstranger

I dont think he would be able to use that technique with a free weight for some reason..

  • @joshlikesmetalXD hell no are you kidding me he would collapse there is not enough range of motion or stability to keep his back @ that acute angle but honestly this guy has figured out a very good strategy to getting squats done right GOOD JOB

  • @scoobywhoproductions

Yea no doubt hes done good but doing it free weight just seems so much more... satisfying. I find myself able to lift more free weight then on smith machine though. - not sure why but free weight feelsgoodman.jpg

  • I thought that by natural, you ment without weights =/

  • regular squats are not at all risky, you just have to stretch your hip area and increase hip mobility. Just take a look at olympic lifters, their backs are straight as wood even in the rock bottom position of the squat. You just have to increase flexibility.

Good work btw bro, clean and natural is how it should be.

  • Would it be wrong to have your knees apart from one and another while doing smith squats ?

  • @matteblatte94 not wrong it will target more the glutes

  • @luimarco thank you for your answer :) im definitely subscribing, I have another question which suppliments are the best and most crucial ? I already got whey protein powder, what should i get next ? im thinking about getting omega 3 capsules or something to help burn fat.

  • @matteblatte94 several bro, they are all listed in the plan on facebook, check em out, link in thedescription

  • whats your bodyfat percent?

  • @WoWbob396 7%

  • It looks like ur jerking off at the beginning

  • @datpimpinboy not really i try to go very slow

  • @luimarco lol i mean in the picture

  • what kind of squats r these? how come u dont do regular squats?

  • @lianghart regular squats are risquy and you'll tend to bend over to the front, you can not go as deep too

  • @lianghart Doing different types of squats has benefits. I regularly lower the weight and use a bench to make sure I am reaching an optimal REGULAR deep squat. Front squatting will make sure that your back is not arching- if it does, you will drop the weight. Doing this type of squat/leg press are supplements that train your muscles to handle heavier weights. Doing these can help you make gains on regular and front squats.

  • @lianghart He's doing Hack Squat.

  • 70 kgs?! are u kedding?

ur quads alone are pretty heavy and u got upper mass

and u seem, tall , so omg

    how tall are u ?:P

  • @Bow2ThePro 5.10

  • Wait, you only weigh 155lbs yet you have that physique? Dude, you're freaking awesome!

  • @102BananaSplit yes sir , most people think am way heavier

  • i'm 17 years old , 170 cm , 110 lbs , i have a plain barbell without any power rack or anything! so i do the steinborn lift first and then squat with 20KG barbell

  • Dude, you have some massive quads! They're actually right on par with your upper body or perhaps even more developed which is very impressive. By the way, you also have exceptional strength for only weighing 155. Impressive!

  • @BigTimePride thanks dude. indeed my legs are one of my strongest assests

  • sup dude, i couldnt b bothered going gym so i just do home workout ie. situps, pushups, chin ups and i got myself a barbell and dumbell set, do u think protein shakes would also hellp alot? or what

any tips on what exercises to do or anythhing?

  • @samambrose1 dumbbell squats and lounges

  • @samambrose1 would someone end this myth that protein shakes are anything more than that - PROTEIN. the same protein you find in chicken, beef, pork, fish you name it.

25 grams of protein shake is the same as 25 grams of protein out of a chicken breast.

if you need extra shot of protein, use protein shake. if your doing home workouts i highly doubt you will be needing that much more protein. remember actual food is far better for the body

  • good hard training!

  • hey bro! can wiil talk about your routine of exercises

  • Never seen squats been done like that, can't Waite to try them..;)

  • No matter how I position myself, I cant do squats on a smith machine......arrggghhhhh.. :o(

  • @trulynot why not and do you have access to hack squat?

  • @luimarco The 24 hour unattended gym I go to only has confined weights for safety reasons. Even the hack squat leverage machine gives my knees trouble. No pain just a really uncomfortable and unavoidable tension and clicking in the ligament. I use the leg press instead. Even the single leg leg extension gives me grief. Never had a knee injury and did lots of cycling in my teens.

Just wish I could squat :(

  • @trulynot then fatigue your self with loeg press and then go for squat but only use half your max untill this issue get resolved brp

  • "hello guys im womgum.." ???? wtf

  • Marco, do you have messenger or facebook to ask you more personal advice.

    Thank you!

  • @fer111679 i ll create a facebook soon in the mean time feel free to write me personal messages

  • I am not sure what my BF% is. As for my Cardio the amount i do in training does not feel like enough I lift weights two days in a row and on the 3rd day i was resting and doing extremely light definition training so i had been going very light on cardio I am now going to on the 3rd day start doing Cardio starting with an hour and working up too around 3-4 hours. I currently do my work out confined to a house no gym. And i train in Brazilian JJ right now my center does have a weight room.

  • @prejudicefreedom i see, i ll send you my plan see how it can fit unto your maa scheduling. it consists of pretty mu ch basic exercises that promote power and natural mass gain

  • @luimarco That is what i am looking for some more power, Do you stretch after your work outs? I am finding my mussel too be shaping nicely and i am staying agile as i bulk up it is a trick that ballerinas use too be able too toss the girls around but still keep with looking uniformed and graceful as for the Cardio it is just a must. OK i got a football game too watch my friend i will read the plan and message you back later take care keep up the great work.

  • I respect this a lot you built your body up with your plan and your individuality! I am also in the proses of my own work out plan i am not body building full on because i have too keep my weight between 155-175 I am training my body for MMA Mixed Martial Arts so hey man if you got and advise send me a message i am willing too hear it. I am working my biceps triceps chicken wings doing squats 3 different kinds of push ups abs calves and all light body building

  • @prejudicefreedom yes my plan can definitely help mma fighters for the simple fact that it allows you to keep you BF quite low so when cutting Down you don't need to suffer a lot and you will not put stress on your Body!

The only thing you'll modify is to refrain from doing the cardio i request since you'll be doing it elsewhere with your MMA training and High pace octagon sessions.

    What's your BF% now?

  • beast

  • dude nice form

  • @JaKeth3snake thanks brother

  • @luimarco how can I get your diet and work out plan? Thank you.

  • @demo865 sent

  • @luimarco can you send me a diet plan, im in highschool i weigh around 138-143 and i want to gain weight i also work out 2 to 3 times a week.

  • ur a beast dude. props to u.

  • @zacatecasrodriguez Thanks Kindly Pal!

  • yeees this exercise is great for legs,I am not sure buy maybe I have a genetically gift that my legs are strong and big,but I think that the perpendicular press for legs which keeps the legs straight perpendicular with the rest of the body helped me very much, the new modern presses for legs are bullshit because there must be used by staying with the legs not perpendicular with the rest of the body, and these new presses affects the pelvis,so this old fashion legs presses must be used everywhere

  • good that the smith machine works for you. hopefully you won't have problems in the long run.

i personally hate smith machines with a passion, i guess their ok if you know what your doing but sadly most people don't know skwat about squats..

great body dude keep up the good work !

  • @xenonnati thanks bro

  • Ok!

  • and your calves ???

  • @ommatol94 that will be in another video

  • @luimarco

dude,do you have such a hard time shaving yourself under the arms, too?any tips?lol.it´s a pain in the ass

  • @RapiDEraZeR do not dare shave there before trimming with an electric trimer ;)

  • Like it, VERY difficult and hard-i ll try it tomorrow.

I admire leg press on press machine more than Smit s-saving my spine!

  • @z22266s deal, just make sure to warm up very well before hitting the higher weights

  • I think you should shave your legs a bit more... ;)

In this video you look bigger... is this true?

  • @HollanderT12345 well am still regaining the mass slowly and my strength is going up so indeed am a lilbit bigger, ( i'll groom my legs next year if i compete;) )

  • hey luimarco, without supplemets we (I) can grow our muscles?

  • @MusicKillah Yes we can but not in an optimum way, Supplements are a very good plus

  • wow !

    nice 1 !

  • @LTivination thanks brother

  • nice video, a in depth video on how your squats is done, i usually do with my legs shoulder width open and nothing lower than my knees. cos i fear that i might put too much strain on my knees

  • @hokagekira well, as long as you're well warmed up there should be no worries, Hence i do some serious Leg pressing before hitting the Squats just to be sure that my knees are ready to roll

  • wow nice legs

  • @germade thanks Germade!

  • Is it better using free weights? Or isolating your muscles? Whats the difference, whats best to use and when to use them?

  • @dimeNdice i prefer the smith machine, please read the description of the Video to see why
