I'm actually a non-Christian Humanist, and I felt bad for what "Borat" did to the people of that Church. It was probably the most disrespectful and mean-spirited thing I've ever seen in a movie. It disgusted me how Cohen betrayed those peoples' genuine kindness and made a mockery of it. I disagree with your beliefs, but at the same time, I would never, EVER support the kind of abuse that monstrous "comedian" piled onto you.
When I saw the clip from the Borat movie, I was hoping it would be a parody of poking fun at Christians, but really it doesn't do anything to embarass the church or your faith. If anything it makes you look genuine, loving and trusting. I was touched to see how sweet, loving and good your church was. So it really doesn't matter what was intended, as long as YOU did the right thing. You don't have to explain to anyone !!! Love can never be embarassed!
I don't believe people can speak in tongues. I believe that God has his holy language but we can't speak it. People are just making repetitive nonsense sounds. I am a Christian but this is one thing I don't believe in.

None of the ppl present in the video could but of all people I would think a preacher of this sort would be an expert on talking in tongues, if he or the act of talking in tongues is legit. Would the apostle Paul have been duped in his day by a con man looking to make a quick buck by drawing a few laughs faking the spirit?

Borat didn't even try to make fun from the pentecostals he let the picture talk by itself. It is ridiculous what is happening there. A psychiatrist must visit them FAST. They think they talk in other tongues and they only make inarticulate screamings. Borat was a very funny movie but the best part is when he comes in a pentecostal church.
But what you don't see is what was cut out of the movie, what wasn't edited, and the real voices and sounds there. If Borat wasn't trying to make fun of Pentecostals, then why did it get added to the movie. I suggest you to read the Book of Acts in the New Testament and tell me it's not of God.
Just because you don't crave to get high on endorfins, dopamine and serotonin by chanting along with hundreds of people and shouting the name of Jesus (in VAIN in my opinion), doesn't mean you don't have a spiritual life or moral standards. What people do at pentecostal churches is based on suggestion and is fully explained by psychology. You don't need God for that state of mind, its simple as that. Can you blame people for laughing at that activity?
