You are absolutely not insane. What you talking about has been published in Scientific American and other journals. Most of the folks here on UTUBE are believeing more in Gods, Ghosts, UFOs and Alien abduction. When something real is presented they become sceptic. Lol! There is a world wide yearly budget of 1,000 billion euros (yes, onethousand billion euros) just spent on developing killing machines.
@MillyVanillification I believe it. They will be the future of warfare. I'm open-minded about a lot of things, but like you say, these things are actually real and developing. AI is being increased and obviously that will be the next step. The US alone spends trillions of dollars in war a year. And low laser canons, killbots. It has to stop somewhere.
It needs to be able to process and UNDERSTAND what it is receiving from its environmental sensors. so plz tell me how is a simple pre-planed command AI, it is not, u need to stop watching so many movies with robots, A: its fake and the people who make movies have no real understanding of technology and how it will be in the future it just needs to look cool
wow u have no idea what AI is, a robot that can follow orders is NOT AI u are really stupid if u think this. let me break it down for. Following an order is not an intelligent action, here is why, What is intelligence? Intelligence is the ability to do things such as Deductive Reasoning, Learning, Creativity both Socially and Artistically. Not to mention things like Perception. Just because u slap some mics and cameras doesn't mean that the Robot can see.
I actual saw a thing on the mobile lazier canon, and it was a lot smaller thin what was shown in the linked article. It was mounted on a HUMVEE, and was in its final testing phase. This was a maned ant-air weapon system, missile defense and anti-aircraft. This is all really great innovations to the battle field. Things like that will help protect are man and increase are war fighting ability.
Yeah, they are meant for anti-missile defence (for now.) I great innovation, huh? I suppose the H-Bomb was too? Some of us long for a better world, not a worse one. :p
Conceding what they use now it is a great innovation, plus it dos not pollute the battle field and it can engage multiple targets quicker and more successfully. The H-bomb, I kind of see it as a steeping stone to different technology like the neutron bomb. Witch in it self is a fantastic weapon system, and again dos not pollute the battle field. We all long for a better world, even harden warriors like my self. However that world is not this world, when that world comes i will lay down my sword.
brother no one thinks war is beautiful. A lot of times you will hear man and woman that have been there and done that joke and make light of it, but that's just a way for people to deal with some of the most horrible things you can experience in life. I can assure you that it hunts us for the rest of are lives.
The tech is out there and I'm glade for it, anything that will help bring home more of my brothers and sisters. They will always be my family, forged bounds stronger thin blood.
I understand what your saying but at tis point the robot is only programmed tofollow a command sceme robots lack intuition and creativity and the ability to connect the dots and to actually learn. The only make mathmatical adjustments to their miss using laser guiding I feel robots are retarded compared to humans in the way we are rapidly adapting and fast processing machines we will never be surpassed by robots.
Actually, to contradict myself a bit, they do have AI to an extent; they can problem-solove through things. Like, play Nintendo Bros or engage in conversation.
A robot does not play SUPER MARIO BROS. but it can be programmed to do such a thing. The conversation robots have certain responses programmed into them. Chances are if you go up to one and say "Fuck you!" it is going to respond with something like "I'm sorry but the command you have issued is not recognized" or some other error message that is also preprogrammed. If we went by your definition of intelligence then there has been AI since the first computer.

Well I don't think war is a beautiful thing, but the point of this video was just to affirm that the technology does exist.
