Clottey didn't get hurt/rocked because he did a great job blocking punches with his tight guard. Also he is tough as nails. Unfortunately he couldn't find a way to get his own shots in.
His last fights (Cotto&Clottey) they wouldnt hit back, Pac was overwelming them with shots that they had to cover or run. If u look at the 2 fights, Manny would stop occasionally & cover up so he can let Cotto & Clottey get a few punches in to HOPEFULLY give them confidence to FIGHT! If Pac wanted to he could of fought those 2 like he did Oscar & not get hit. He let them hit him to draw them in, thats how he got Cotto knockdown #2. But Clottey wouldnt bite.

His last fights (Cotto&Clottey) they wouldnt hit back, Pac was overwelming them with shots that they had to cover or run. Clottey is defensive fighter thus, he did what he is suppose to do. He is the grandmaster after all, so, he adjusted to Pacmans style the best he could . Clottey's defense is good that is why he has never been stopped.
A lot of people I talk to here in ghana are not happy with his style but, that is his style. He is not Azuma Nelson, he is Joshua Clottey a solid defensive fighter who takens what his opponents give him. If you watch the fight he landed the best punches. Some nice upper cuts.

For someone with a granite chin, bigger and heavier than Pacquiao, all Clottey did round 1-12 was hide and block with his forearms and stand there like a human mannequin. He was obviously intimidated by Pacquiao's power and speed and he knew he will get KTFO once he start trading punches. He didn't want to end up like Hatton or Cotto, Clottey fought scared.

In other words, in 56 fights Pac has 38 KO's. At the same rate, after 56 fights Floyd will have 35 KO's. Basically pac would have 3 more KO's or 1 more KO on average every 18 fights.

Freddie Roach admitted that in the first fight Pac only won 2 or 3 rounds. One judge had it 115-111 for Marquez and that was including a 10-6 round for Pacquaio.
I won't even discuss the second fight. The world agrees that pacquaio was the beneficiary of a gift decision.
On the judges scorecards over the two fights Marquez was 13-11-1 in rounds.

@zerofabian All 3 judges scored the Floyd/JLC fight 8-4 for Floyd. Floyd took most of JLC's punches on the gloves and few actually landed cleanly. The average fan just gets excited by the fists being thrown and then by the biased HBO commentary.
It is not how many you throw but how many you land and JLC just did not land as many as you think he did.
