  • Don't Forget also An Ex. Chessie Systems unit also

  • Awesome catch, love that K5la horn, tuned just right.

  • I really Hate seeing these units die out.

  • Nice. I wish the B36-7s and all of the other standard cab GEs would return, oh well.

  • THE GE B36 PULLING ALL BUY ITS SELF TUFF LIL ENGINE

  • Great horn and that was CSX A773 i believe my friend

  • Those old GE's used to be the pride of Seaboard's fleet....pulling the hottest intermodal trains.

  • dag, dats a pretty cool horn & love that engine sound the B36-7 makes!

  • not just vintage, its rare power!

  • amazing power with only one loco!

  • 2nd unit is ex Conrail

  • well, its pulling its heart out. awesome, love the GE chug which for the dash 7 class, can't be beat!

  • Is that in notch 8? Cuz that was the good GE power.

  • I love the old locomotives :)

  • Very,very nice K5LA and Ge chuuging!

  • That oldie at the point doesn t have a very long nose

  • I recently heard on here that all the GE B boats on CSX have now been retired.

  • hey, the good GE is being used!

  • everyone agree it's in run 8?

  • I like those older engine like the GP40 ,GP 35 and SD-40.

  • a classic

  • Awesome K5LA and good old GE bell!

By the way Bryan, "Folkston, California" in description lol.

    5*!

  • @fleecejackets Sounds like a K5LAR24.

  • These are the true backbone of CSX's fleet.

  • Folkston is the best

  • The little engine that could.

  • nice

  • Im sure there was something wrong with the GP-38-2 trailing because with that kind of train im sure he would have had the unit on-line. At this point in time all the B-36-7`s have been derated to 2300hp. I dont belive any true B-30-7s or B-36s remain anymore.

  • What is the speed limit for this line?

  • 79 mph but freights go 50 and Amtrak goes around 70 unless there is a slow order.

  • slow but good train :D

  • I highly doubt CSX would let a B36-7 pull an entire train. B36-7's are highly untrustowrthy of frequent stalling and mechaincal problems. Even if this is a minor grade, this is a very struggling load for this B36-7 to handle just by itself. CSx probably activated the second unit at first signs of trouble.

  • the ruggedness and reliability of a GE is eveident. here. that's why the GE u-boats put Alco, Baldwin and Fairbanks Morse out of business, and why GE became the number one manufacturer of diesel locomotives in 1980, and has remained so ever since.

  • Holy moly, is that B36 pulling all by itself? I don't hear the 645. We've got two B36-7's around here right now, CSXT 5880 and 5894. Very nice-sounding locomotives.

  • @SpeakerPolice wat is the "645"????

  • 16-645E. The diesel engine type inside the trailing locomotive, an EMD GP38-2.

  • @SpeakerPolice just wanted 2 b sure

  • Anytime ;)

  • @SpeakerPolice dont wink @ me,it seems gay hahaha

  • LOL my apologies xD

  • @SpeakerPolice lmbo

  • Almost, because I would wish see to CSX C30-7s! But, they is it U-Boats :P!

    *Add favorite and 5 rating!!!!

  • Awesome catch Bryan. Those B36-7 units are dying out quickly. That is a repainted Ex. Seabord System unit.

  • lol, everyone trying to beat the train across

  • nice horn

  • B30-7 #5554 was running through there in April '08 attached to the "Spirit of Tampa" #4688

  • That is an oldie B36-7 unit there! Haven't seen one of those in a while! And a GP38-2 also!

Really getting a workout there 4 sure! 5*****

  • B36-7s still lurk about in and around Oak Point (Bronx, NY) from time to time, though they largely have been displaced by GP38-2s and GP40-2s, and for the road outside of local service, SD40-2s

  • Sweet

  • nice catch dude 5 stars and a favortie :)

  • a B36-7 a rare loco these days, those used to be very common back in the 1980's early to mid 90's but with new clean air regs, and things like that those 2 locos should be preserved in a working railroad Museum someday, whats the grade north and south through Folkston Ga, and what radio frequencies are used?

  • 160.590 is the road frequency.

  • There is a grade coming into Folkston northbound, which is why you'll see videos on here of trains making a slow start if they have been sitting a stop signal.

  • Great find here man. These units wont last for long with all the GEVo's

  • Catching A776 with a B-boat is becoming harder and harder so great catch! The one time i managed to catch it in Folkston it had a AC44 leading, go figure:P

  • The newer CSX color scheme...blue/gold is called "YN3"

  • DAM, nice ass shot! and power!

  • Awesome Horn and vid Bry. are you ever going to come to Amarillo to railfan the transcon with me? LOL 5* vid

  • Coolio!

  • WOW, another great old Yellow Nose 2 (YN2) paint scheme on that lead unit!! Unit 2 is newer all-dark-blue with gold nose and logo, don't know if it has a "name". And I like the stormy evening, too-- AWESOME!!

  • nice!

  • That is some dang old power on the point!!! freaking long train!!! nice catch! 5 stars!!!

  • Great find with the B units. That's not something you see every day especially in yourstomping grounds.

  • Awesome Vid! great power, he was haulin!
