  • 8:27 is a logical fallacy... i agree that the human rights don't exist in Cuba but at least the people got to see a concert that wasn't controlled by Castro and his brother, for 4-5 hours they were the audience of international stars and not a a Castro driven speech...these artists meant well to bring entertainment to the Cuban people, it was not a political concert and of course it wouldn't change anything but the Cuban people in attendance were happy.

  • Dat dude with the hat is a fucking murder!

  • @pizzaboy180 being down with Che doesnt mean your a communist che was a communist to the fullest it means believing in something to the end

  • Artist should always go to Cuba.. those people need things like that that let them know they are humans! they wish they could see that more often. My enetire family is in Cuba and they enjyed it very much and hope that they will keep doing this again! It is sad the way Cuba is still a communist country, but we cdant condem the people living there prohibiting them from concerts like the one Juanes planned. I hope they keep doing this and positive change finally comes to my country! God Bless

  • So you think people are not controled in the U.S, hahaha think again, all the medias are privatized as well as healthcare. All Capilatism, or Freedom really means is if that you have money you have freedom. "The fruits of the earth belong to us all, and the earth itself to no one" - Rosseau...All in all, America is the biggest terrorist in the world. Peace brother.

  • Hi ordunorl. Of course, I could not disagree with you more. The US and Capitalism, while not perfect, is the best system - in practice - in the world. There is freedom here. You just have to remember that you cannot have freedom without laws. Even in Mexico, where you're at, you have access to post your comment freely - on the Internet. In Cuba, there is no such freedom at all.

  • Xaves511:

You are doing a great job.... Please keep doing this for the people of Cuba they need people like you and i thank you for showing the world the reality of everything that happen in my country.

Thank you once again and god bless you.

  • i totally agree with u xaves511, i like u am of spanish decent, but i was born and raised here in the U.S. It's true what u say it is a slap in the face when these artist go and perform. At the end of the day they come home to there luxuries and nothing changes. Great Work!

  • You and Castro are the only terrorist in the world, me a Cuban Born tell you that and more, you are a very ignorant man...................

U.S.A OVER 240 YEARS OF DEMOCRACY.

LONG LIVE A FREE CUBA, THE DISSIDENTS AND THE HUMAN RIGHTS!

  • Che was an admitted murderer who claims he got a rush when he executed people. Castro pretty much threw Che out of the country but continued forcing the Cuban people to adore him.

  • So what you are saying with the first comment is that the inocent youth of Cuba, who no nothing of having freedoms can't enjoy a free concert because the leaders of that Goverment are sociaist pigs. Why do you want them to suffer?

  • Hi ahg266. I don't want anybody to suffer. What I want is for those young and old people to have basic human rights, political prisoners freed, and a democracy. I want the innocent youth in Cuba to have accent to the Internet, media, be free, and, yes, enjoy concerts. But, not in the face of a totalitarian regime that continues to oppress them and has exiled many others. The only attention given to Cuba should be to pressure the current regime OUT.

  • The Berlin wall fell shortly after the youth of that city began to see what the other other side of the wall were enjoying. This needed to happen.

  • All I can do it hope your thoughts happen and are true. But I doubt it. Cuba is a different story, unfortunately. The Pope's visit didn't help much either.

  • @ahg266 thats exactly how cuban americans are they complain about cuba bekause their grandparents planted that seed in them I have too many political family dead from the war in el salvador cubans has this obsession to see fidel get overthrowned EVERY COUNTRY IN LATINO AMERICA IS DYING OF HUNGER AND THERE NOT COMMUNIST...

  • It's a display of lack of information and knowledge of history. That's the most I could figure into it.

  • Que viva juanes y su musica tan bella!

  • Nadie esta negando eso. Ese no es el punto.

  • Hi there! I just wanted to say that, regardless of all the suffering

Cuban people inside Cuba may have to deal with on a daily basis because of

the regime, they should be allowed to have some moments of joy,

through music. Juanes never said the concert would make all those

changes you said it didn't make. He actually said the concert was just

to bring some joy to them for a few hours, that's it... And it did!

So, what is so bad about the concert?

  • Hi Valeria. Thanks for the comment. In response, I would like to say that it is not what Juanes and company did, it is where they did it. There is a time and a place for everything. Cuba is not a place for free, woodstock-like concerts. And, so, I did not celebrate this concert any more than I would if it had been done at Ground Zero - in NYC - where thousands of people lost their lives. That's just not the place to do it.

  • Great video!! Let the truth be known these concert are just a bunch of BS in a country that does not have peace or freedom! I am Cuban myself I left when I was only 2 and have not seen Cuba since. My mother is a traitor we did not return.

  • Thanks for the comment, bennmug.

  • I stoped to look at your video as soon you started to talk about Che!

I get amazed every time i see americans call Che as murder. Who are you to judge? There is no nation who has direct and indirectly murder ppl all over the world as Usa,

Clean up your own house before talking. Che is a hero to most of the citizens in our plantet. You lost he propaganda war against Cuba ,, Relax . mind your own business and let other nations bee!

    greetings from Greece

  • Hi elektra1968. You really should watch the entire video before commenting. That goes for any video. Had you done that, you would've learned that I don't speak from what the history books say, I speak from experience. I lived the horror of Communist Cuba. I'm not even gonna get started on what you said about the USA, except to say that the US is the GREATEST country in the world.

  • It is now being reported that Mr Juanez and his crew were heckled by the Cuban authorities. They exchanged some words and the concert was almost cancelled. The Cuban authorities wanted to sit, specifi, communist students, in the front rows of the concert. The singers objected and there were tense moments. Goes to show the control and lack of freedoms there.

  • The Cuban people are generally loving people its too bad the Government has a strong hold of everyone. How did you see the concert?

  • Hi onemon! Great to see you commenting again. I watched bits and pieces of the concert via satellite.

  • this concert was, as stated in this video, pretty much a waste of time. in essence, nothing came or will come out of it.

  • Thanks, Noelle. You are correct. What Cuba needs is freedom and democracy. Not happy, happy, joy, joy concerts.
