not to be a dick, but i was looking at your bench videos and they are very impressive however the squat was high as balls. i honestly doubt that you could get more than 170 if you went ass to hams and more than 225 if you went to parallels. plus you cant see the weights.
It was high, but not by much. I have done 275 ass to grass, and 345 to parallel (now). Back then, I did 250 ass to grass and 300 to parallel. Missing parallel doesn't give me a lot more strength like it does most people. I'm actuaally very strong out of the bottom. This was just a bad lift and bad video camera, with a bad angle. I assure you though that I can squat 275+ very deep.
meh i was just saying because i know a lot of people confuse parallel with quarter squats and a lot of people think they are going atg when they are abrely hitting parallel depths. the fact you dont think that that squat was very high tells me you might be misjudging the depth on some of your squats. either way the camera angle was bad so i cant really be adimint on your depth but it looks about 7 inches high from ipf which youve claimed to squat at. no hate just trying to help you out.
I don't compete in the IPF, I compete in the VPF. But go take a look at my example of my parallel with 225 video. I took that video after not having squatted for 3-4 months and lost almost all of my power. 3 months before that, I squatted 295 (I was judged to depth) to that video depths, but I lost my strength because I quit doing them. I know where parallel is, but like I said, this was just a bad lift. I'm good for much more.
hewy man do you know if box squats are harder than regular squats? i heard that they were. i have a video of me squatting 325 to a box iwas just wondering what you think id get to parallel without the box., i think my video might have been a half inch high.
We had eveyr light on and came to find out that it is my friends camera. Derek's camera gives you the exact lighting or better, but Joel's camera is very dark. I'll probably buy one just like Derek's soon.

They absolutely are. Because you have to have a lot of hipmpower to get starting strength. For most people, this is the problem.
