  • It was embarrasing for the batsman. Lol

  • wtf..how do u play this game?

  • the ball is called dead once it lodges into any part of the clothing.so, its not out and the batsmen cant take a run

  • This has probably been said, but isnt that out? It's just the same as being caught in an item of clothing surely? and therefore the ball hit the glove, did not, bounce and ended up being caught?

  • Boring

  • isn't that out??????

  • hey .

    that was caught out,

    It hit his glove.

  • thats a catch....... he's out

  • vey funny

  • haha

  • You're all wrong, the ball is deemed dead the second it lodges in an item of clothing.

  • @DeanWhipper if a helmet is clothing? what about gloves?

  • if they'd appealed it would have been out as it didn't touch the ground. If he'd pulled it out himself he could of been given out for handling the ball

  • @doozradow but it didn't touch the gloves or bat.

  • hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • did the ball go off the gloves? then it should have been appealed out!! ??

  • @terryyouth

It wouldn't have been sportsmanship if the fielder had appealed for out, as the batsman let him grab the ball rather than trying to take it out himself and throwing it away somewhere----

  • why didn sarwan appeal?

  • :D

  • the ball went straight up his helmet and he didnt know it

  • No as the ball became stuck it is a dead ball

  • Isn't that out? Since he hit the ball and the ball did not touch the ground before the fielder pulled it out, shouldn't that be out caught? Excuse me if I am wrong.

  • great catch sarwan !!!

  • bring asim kamal back in the team...

  • Would have been better if the Yankee's and Sox had rushed the field.

  • teri maa ki chut mey kali mata devi

  • Technically, If the ball had hit the bat before getting stick, would it be given catch out ?

  • yes

  • @kranthitech if the ball touches your helmet it means it grounded so its not out...

  • @kishan209 Not entirely correct. If the batsman gloved/edged it, then the ball hits the helmet and then caught; he would be out.

@charr11dy's comment is correct - if the ball gets stuck in clothing/protective gear, then it is dead.

  • @ck867 it doesn't matter if it just touches helmet it is grounded....

  • @kishan209 give it a rest champ, you are wrong. ck867 is correct.

  • The ball was glued on the eye rofl man commentators are very funny indeed

  • its not out as the laws say you can not be out if the ball is stuck in ur clothing and ur caught... im not 2 much of a geek lol

  • btw isnt that technically out...i mean the ball didnt hit the ground...but it would b lame if it was given out and I'm sure the West Indians wouldnt accept such a bogus wicket; Australia on the other hand...lets not even go there

    ;]

  • @HeRsHeYsKiSsz - India would have claimed it and then called the umpire and the opposition cheats if it wasn't given.

  • saved by the helmet...

  • who is the batsman i think its asim kamal?

  • ive seen in a ODI a while ago now like over 5 years ago, a batsmen hit the ball up and it got stuck in the top of his pads and leg, and stefan fleming ran up and grabbed it out and he was givin out because the ball hadnt touched the ground.

  • @coolguyjames99

if the ball gets stuck in the batsman's apparel it's supposed to be ruled dead

  • hahahhahaha

  • lmao

  • haha

    the commentators liked this one

  • nah if the ball gets stuck in someones clothing helmet etc its a dead ball

  • hahahahahah brilliant

  • I am pretty sure that it is in the rules that if the ball gets lodged in the batsman's clothes/gear it is a dead ball.

  • yeaah it is, happened in our junior game last year

  • think how many runs they could've had if he had run?

  • @fredsta125 Thats wat i was thinking lool

  • @fredsta125 lmfao

  • @fredsta125 normaly 4runs buth if i was there i would keep runing and runing away from the fielding too.

  • @fredsta125 normaly 4runs buth if i was there i would keep runing and runing away from the fielding too.

  • @fredsta125 hahaahaha LMFAOOOO

the fielders just chase after him all day long hahaahahhaahah

    fcuking made my day :D

  • @fredsta125: It would have been called a dead ball if they had attempted to score runs.

  • @fredsta125 that was the most funnies thing i ever heard

  • @fredsta125 the max number of runs u can run is 4 :P

  • @fredsta125 - loool

  • @fredsta125 they wouldnt be counted

  • @fredsta125 isn't the ball classed as dead once it hits the helmet?

  • @fredsta125 we could see a rugby match :)))))))

  • Isn't that classed as a catch? The ball never touched the ground so...

  • IT DID NOT HIT THE BAT SURE!!

  • no appeal!

  • dead ball

  • it was hilarious, i love the spirit of Sarwan who still went for the catch

  • itd be funny if he had started running with the ball in the helmet :p pure classic!!

  • If he ran over the boundary, it would have been 6, no? :D

  • nah counts as dead ball, or else 11 west indians would be trying to rugby tackle him to the ground as he runs off.

  • I know :P It was a joke, albeit a bad one. I umpire - so I know these things :P

  • yeah i know, i just like the idea of chris gayle running in here and trying a rugby tackle.

  • hehehehe.... wasnt that asim kamal??

  • I ike West Indies, they are fair sportsmen

    Greetings from PAK fan

  • agreed...

Greetings from a Sri Lanka fan.

  • rick rolled

  • It hit the bat handle.

  • that is cool i like that that i why yuou wear a helmet

  • this one is hilarious...lol

  • Brilliant!

  • wow like the slowest slow bowler i have ever seen lol.

  • HBW (Helmet Before Wicket) :)

  • lol

  • damn funny

    imran

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah

  • lol :)

  • ive done that before hooking in the nets at cricket training. wheres the ball haha

  • realli not that funny, shows how small things on the field amuse ppl!

  • hahaha. sjlaxer12 is so right.

  • asim kamal is a gr8 batsman. bring him back

  • Sarwan is hilarious :D

  • how would u live that down

  • The rule says, once the ball is lodged in an itwm on clothing or protection of the batsmen, the ball is thn dead, meaning this is a dead ball, and the correct decision was made :)

  • Why isn't this out caught?

  • it didnt touch the bat dunce

  • I thought it came off his gloves. Perhaps it didn't as nobody appealed.

    Yours sincerely,

    Dunce.

  • He did hit it. It's not out because once the ball gets stuck between the batsmans grill, then it is a dead ball.

  • Thanks for the rule clarification.

  • Off the glove is out, YoungSeezy.

The West Indians were good sports and didn't appeal, so the umpire didn't give it out.

  • no westwoooooooood is actually right.

  • Yes, it was off the glove, but it's a dead ball.

    We all agree... Whew!

  • ok you know what shut up

  • and anyways the umpire would still say its out.its the umpire not the west indies.oh yeah, its west INDIES.

  • Umpires only give a man out if the opposing team appeals, YoungSeezy.

  • ok i get it god

  • Yes wtw88, but even if the opposing team had appealed he could not have been given out because the ball was dead once it had become stuck.

  • The ball doesn't have to come off the bat to be caught out, it can come of the gloves too. In any case, this could not have been given out as once the ball was lodged in the grill it is dead.

  • yah i wrote on this like a year ago and now u tell me.

  • Whether you wrote on this a year ago or 2 minutes ago, you know now don't you :) So, you can be caught out if the ball comes of your glove. I think you hand has to be touching the bat though for that to happen. If the ball gets stuck in an item of clothing or equpiment, it is dead and you can't be out.

  • *_* yay

  • It CAN be out coming off the gloves, but BOTH hands need to be holding onto the handle of the bat when the ball hits the gloves for it to be given out.

  • its a dead ball as soon as it becomes lodged in kit

  • nice one

  • whos this batsman

  • Asim Kamal... good left handed batsman lower down the order... as always never given much chance.

  • this is the best bat/ball action I've seen in a while... ;-D

  • shouldnt it be out =P

it came off his bat and the fielder got it before it touched the ground

  • haha

    coooooool one

    :D:D:D

  • lol f.u.n.n.y
