This has probably been said, but isnt that out? It's just the same as being caught in an item of clothing surely? and therefore the ball hit the glove, did not, bounce and ended up being caught?
Hey guys if you want to check out my channel I would greatly appreciate it. I make videos to help the cricket community from tutorials to explanations to maintenance of equipment, etc. Thankyou for reading this! :D
if they'd appealed it would have been out as it didn't touch the ground. If he'd pulled it out himself he could of been given out for handling the ball
It wouldn't have been sportsmanship if the fielder had appealed for out, as the batsman let him grab the ball rather than trying to take it out himself and throwing it away somewhere----
Isn't that out? Since he hit the ball and the ball did not touch the ground before the fielder pulled it out, shouldn't that be out caught? Excuse me if I am wrong.

@smartadam : Why dont you tell that to the jehadis training under the Porki Government and keep sending terrorists to India.. almost everyday.. so many Indians have lost their lives.. what do u expect us to cuddle up n smooch ?
@smartadam SUPERLIKE!!!!! awesomely said man!! i'm an indian, but im a citizen of the world before anything else. we're all children of mother earth.....we dont have boundaries, but the human race is that fucked up...can't help it... :/
btw isnt that technically out...i mean the ball didnt hit the ground...but it would b lame if it was given out and I'm sure the West Indians wouldnt accept such a bogus wicket; Australia on the other hand...lets not even go there
ive seen in a ODI a while ago now like over 5 years ago, a batsmen hit the ball up and it got stuck in the top of his pads and leg, and stefan fleming ran up and grabbed it out and he was givin out because the ball hadnt touched the ground.
4.then paste this to 4 other videos, if you do this your crush will kiss you on the nearest friday! But if you will read this and did not paste this, then you will have very bad luck and your dad might even lose his job
The rule says, once the ball is lodged in an itwm on clothing or protection of the batsmen, the ball is thn dead, meaning this is a dead ball, and the correct decision was made :)
The ball doesn't have to come off the bat to be caught out, it can come of the gloves too. In any case, this could not have been given out as once the ball was lodged in the grill it is dead.
Whether you wrote on this a year ago or 2 minutes ago, you know now don't you :) So, you can be caught out if the ball comes of your glove. I think you hand has to be touching the bat though for that to happen. If the ball gets stuck in an item of clothing or equpiment, it is dead and you can't be out.
It CAN be out coming off the gloves, but BOTH hands need to be holding onto the handle of the bat when the ball hits the gloves for it to be given out.
It was embarrasing for the batsman. Lol

I thought it came off his gloves. Perhaps it didn't as nobody appealed.

Dunce.
naganokumas 3 years ago
He did hit it. It's not out because once the ball gets stuck between the batsmans grill, then it is a dead ball.
Westwoooooooood 3 years ago

naganokumas 3 years ago
Off the glove is out, YoungSeezy.
The West Indians were good sports and didn't appeal, so the umpire didn't give it out.

no westwoooooooood is actually right.

YoungSeezy 3 years ago
Yes wtw88, but even if the opposing team had appealed he could not have been given out because the ball was dead once it had become stuck.

The ball doesn't have to come off the bat to be caught out, it can come of the gloves too. In any case, this could not have been given out as once the ball was lodged in the grill it is dead.

YoungSeezy 3 years ago
Whether you wrote on this a year ago or 2 minutes ago, you know now don't you :) So, you can be caught out if the ball comes of your glove. I think you hand has to be touching the bat though for that to happen. If the ball gets stuck in an item of clothing or equpiment, it is dead and you can't be out.
