  • Wow where did you get these Clips?

  • They're from DVD sets of the first two seasons from Germany. It's become available for sale in the US sometime recently through the Disney Movie Club.

  • I just love your vids!!!! They are so great!! I can't stop watching them:D

  • Where's the "In love with" button?

  • at like :29 when does kim get the outfit????plz and than you!!!lolol:)

  • I don't like this video... i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVEEEEEEEE it very very well done <3

  • I remember I freaked out in the last season because Kim and Ron actually changed her outfits once in a while.

haha when Kim kicked Shego onto that electrical thing, I noticed how violent this show was haha.

  • cool vids and shego shoud of got revenge for that night

  • Best... KP... Video... ever.

  • @4whitestar4: Thank you. :) And thanks for commenting!

  • @fireandchutes77 Hey dude i am trying to find the episode that Kim has this robot arm that she took from the bady guys and than it began to grow all over her body do you know what episode i am talking about????

  • @ray2971 That's the Halloween episode

  • awesome vid very well done

  • @richardahines Thanks! Glad you liked it. And thank you for taking the time to comment. :)

  • No Big! That song kicks ass, I'm just a huge KP fan, I'm also a fan of Transformers so I know what New Divide is from, Revenge of the Fallen!

  • Damn, I love this song and Kim Possible

  • Well, I can tell the latter by your screen-name. ;)

As for the former, thanks! I'm glad you liked it! :)

  • This may be the most ambitious KP vid I've ever seen. To imitate LP's own MV to this song? I'd have never thought it could be done. That you succeeded rates my highest respect. However, despite the proficient editing, I'm a little unsatisfied. I could watch this vid 10 times & create 10 interpretations, which makes it feel unfocused & more of a 'random image' vid. Your other vids display more focus than that. Maybe I just need 10 more viewings anyway.

    It's still a heck of a KP-MV, Thank You.

  • Thank you very much! I'm humbled. :)

"I'd have never thought it could be done."

I'm smiling because someone also said that about my "Vise" video. ;)

"watch this vid 10 times & create 10 interpretations"

I suppose that could be a strength as well as a weakness, but, yeah, this doesn't feel like my "tightest" video, story-wise. It sprang up from the thought of what the reaction would be if both K, R, and the public were forced to contemplate how many times Team P almost came to murder.

I figure there'd be a period of finger-pointing between the two before they had to face the public (3:11).

    "LP's own MV..."

I watched their MV near the beginning of my project; it was good, but their transition effects made it look like my video feed was lagging, which was very annoying. Their thermal image effect was cool, if a bit odd. The editing seemed a bit random, but I guess they only had a small pool of footage to work with, to prevent spoilers.

  • The problem with official MV's is that they're about selling the band. MV's are just another form of advertising, they're never about the song or telling you what the songs about. That's why I like fanvids. That said, the LP MV is one of the best I've ever seen, weird sure, but not in a disturbing way, rather a very creative way, especially within it's limitations. It can be hard to follow, visually, but it really grabs you & doesn't let go, which is the mark of a good MV.

Whereas all during your MV, for the sake of constructive criticism, I was trying to figure out how it all tied together & I never really got an answer. "How many times Team P came to murder"?

Now THAT is interesting. Stepping outside Disneyland a moment, if you watch KP fight Shego, neither of them holds back. Would KP kill Shego in a fair fight? Probably. Would she murder Shego or any villain in cold blood? No, she doesn't have it within her. Not sure it fits the lyrics anyway.

As a human I can't help but bring my own preconceived ideas to a song or a vid. When I watch the LP-MV or listen to the song, two things come to my mind: a love story & the Optimus Prime forest fight. The song was written for the movie so I can't help it. I hear the melody & the lyrics, I see someone fighting the odds for some one they love. When I hear 'What I've Done,' I see a fight for redemption. Is that just me? Probably & if so, I apologize for my bias.

    Thank You for Reading

  • I'm with you on "WID," for sure. Some say it's about suicide; I instantly heard redemption and rebirth. I haven't seen the movie yet (gasp!), so when I heard it first, straight and standalone on the radio, I heard betrayal, vengeance, hurt, and redemption for an unnamed wrong. It might've been addressed to a girl about love, but to me that's one of many "possibilities."

    (by "it" I mean "ND")

    "Now THAT is interesting."

I got a 1000-pg (!) Army survival manual for a grad. present that has 2 chapters on CQC, and I recently got my yellow belt in Tang Soo Do karate, and it's allowed me to watch the KP fights with a new perspective.... D'ammm, they are *not* messing around with any chopsocky bullsh*t. O_o

"Would she murder Shego... in cold blood?"

Prolly not.... but the end of "StD" does make it interesting.

  • Which brings me back around to this AMV. The feeling could be "My God, what have I done?"

Ron: Kim, you kicked Shego into a live electrical tower! You ALMOST killed her!

Kim: *angsts* then, "But... hey! You threw W&W into a battlecruiser! You KILLED them!"

    Ron: *angst*

Public, EPA, PETA ding them for lair blasts (goon death, pollution, innocent experiments)

    K&R collectively angst

"the truth that lies / across this new divide..."

So we've done this stuff... How do we come to grips and move on?

  • Of course, that hinges on the assumption that one would *care* about evil's fates...

I edited the info bar to hopefully make it more clear:

"Once the kick is thrown, once the punch connects, the follow-through, the fall-out, cannot be recalled... Regardless of whether or not the outcome was lethal, the potentiality of it, the *realization* of such, hurls the thrower over the lip into a new, unknown divide..."

Hence the more brutal fights in the beginning, instrumental middle, and end.

  • I can't believe no one ever made a trailer of Kim Possible with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer audio, also how come there isn't a KP video with What I've Done playing

  • Well, let's hope this video goes a short way toward filling that gap. ;D

  • luv this video =)

  • Thank you! :)

  • ur welcome =)

  • Gettin' better all the time!

  • Thanks! :)

  • Fantastic! I've been wanting to see the kinds of things that After Effects can do. Great work on really attempting to fit something with the lyrics, ie "Your voice was all I heard". 5/5!

  • Thanks! I probably could've created the "TV screen" effects completely within PPro, but After Effects helped. FX had "Warped/Old/Broken TV" presets, but the blurring was too radical for my taste. The "wiggle" present for the ending "KP" certainly saved me a lot of time, though.

  • i love it - i haven't made a kp vid in ages - i really need to...

  • Awesome Kp AMV!!!

    Good timeing and efects!

By the way in 2:26, how did you done the sake screen efect?

  • Thanks!

What do you mean by "sake screen?" Is that a typo for "shake screen?" (It had me thinking of Japanese wine. XD) I'm seeing flashes around that point (Ron tossing Warmonga), but no real shaking....

  • Ah! At last! It's here! XD

I see you've gotten very fond of those flashing, flickering, and double screened effects; they were quite fitting and very awesome! The clips were very good too (though some of them felt just a little slow for the song, but maybe that's just me).

5/5! Very well done! And thank you for reminding me to start working on my anime AMV I plan to make to this song. :D :P

    (P.S; I'm in the tags!!! I'm so honored! B-))

  • "I see you've gotten very fond of those flashing, flickering, and double screened effects..."

Yeah... I hope nobody gets an epileptic attack. The split-screens represent the "new divide," of course, between innocence and experience.... The flashes in the beginning were supposed to represent lightning. The opening rumble always reminds me of a train crossing a trestle, but I had to go with reverse-color flashes.

    "I'm in the tags!!"

Hoping to ride coattails.... *Whistles* ;D

  • More on flashes: At 1:45, it was supposed to speed up into a blur of flashes at the end... Frame-dropping cut out some and made it look more like it short-circuits. I think I like it better that way.

I like the flashes at 2:54 best - I'd intended each to land on a syllable (IN ev-RY LOSS...) and it turned out really well. 8)

I like the 3:23 scene, and 3:25 turned out a lot more powerful than I'd thought. :D

"some of them felt just a little slow"

Like 4:00? I ran out of rhythmic punches.

  • I really loved the flashes here as well, because I have no patience for doing them often. You've outdone me! XD :P

It wasn't a rhythem thing I saw, but a pacing thing. Clips during the verses sometimes felt oddly paced to me and out of sync, but again, this is just me.

  • "You've outdone me!"

    Bwwaahahahahaha! XD

"Clips during the verses sometimes felt oddly paced to me and out of sync..."

    Hmmmm... *rubs chin thoughtfully*
