Ive also done brazilian Jiu Jitsu & other mma sports, but boxing is in reality a very limited art of fighting (you can only throw punches). Boxers do not know take down defense & can't stop mma fighters because they specialize in both stand up fighting & on the ground fighting. Boxers are usually take down & submitted in reality and this has already been proven many times

Dude, why does everyone have to choose a team? Why cant you like both. I happen to like mma more but I still appreciate boxing but bjj is my first love. if ppl are comparing the two sports & trying to figure out which sport would best fit them in a street fight, im gonna say its gonna be mma. But remembr people, unless your a fuckn inmate, people dont get in fights everyday, they are both entertainment sports. As a sports fan i dont get why ppl would like to see boxing go away, its all entertainment. it could be hockey, as long as someone is getting their ass kicked on tv its all good. enjoy a good but whoopn ppl, no mattr what sport it is.

In a fight it comes down to how many "tools" you have. In a fight im not saying boxing or mma to only have one set of tools is gonna get you beat. Like boxing just using ur hands wont get you far against a mma fighter they got more tools in a fight. Kicks, punches, sumbmissions, elbows, wrestling, etc I started out in boxing and when i heard of mma it made boxing look like a pussy sport. Been doin mma for 8 years now. Over all still a boxing fan but MMA is way better than boxing and more skill

Mayweather said in an interview that MMA fighters didn't make it in boxing so they went 2 MMA. On the contrary, many MMA fighters have successful boxing & kickboxing backgrounds, they chose MMA cuz they wanted something more dynamic and realistic.
