  • 0:18 ''WOOKIE WOOKIE WOOKIE WOOKIE''

  • FINISH HIM MWAHAHAH

  • RATATATATATA! HETAYOA!!

  • I dont like cheerleaders.

  • @MrJoseReyn ... no not really

  • WTF! He nuts him at 3:52 - is that allowed in Tei Kwon Do?

  • @MrJoseReyn I know that is shocking. I think it was unintentional because he rushed in headfirst, but very unfortunate regardless. Anyway maybe it wasn't as bad as it looked because he didn't get hurt.

  • CHERIOT ANGEI CHUN BEI,SAGA 1 MAM

  • 0:42 was sexy as fukkk

  • 0:50

  • this is tae kwon do that i know you dont be jumpping around like a clown use a stance n put ur hips into it for that powerful hit to knockout other than that block punch flip n all that sweet stuff

  • This is real tae kwon do not that bullshit were used to seeing.

  • this is so much better than watching the Olympics fights

  • @V3NOMXIII that's because this IS tae kwon do, and that shit in the olympic games is...well, shit, not tae kwon do

  • 2:35 - it's about time you used your hands for something useful! If he's going to keep throwing his leg out there to you, catch it and keep it! Was really ticked at him for not doing it at 2:25 That might have been the only REALLY useful thing taekwondo taught me... notice patterns and use someone's mistake against him.

  • For gods sake! Use your arms!

  • @Ignorance96 Trust me, TKD does allow the use of punching, but the main thing are the kicks. In my TKD Class, many people rely solely on their kicks and they fail because their opponent rushes in with a flurry of punches.

  • @Ignorance96 Consider that if at the start of this match, he charged in with Punches, hed have been Back Kicked in a split second. You cant Punch until you can get close enough To Punch. The ITF Form in fact emphasises Punching, but the afore mentioned is still a huge factor.

  • 0:54 That was an awesome tornado kick.

  • yeah.. karate is much older than taekwondo...

  • The first several kicks and the footwork to dodge them in the overtime round was insane.

  • @PaintMeWhite What are you talking about turkey ?!! What does getting Laid have to do with karate?!! Are you gay or something ?!!

  • test ur might

  • All that Bobbin up and down ha ha ha Just Wasted Energy !! This Tae Kwon Do shit sucks. If you deliver a kick to me you better draw it back in a SPLIT SECOND or get it broken ! And when I Block i always use the Double-Factor that can totaly steal your balance and control And I NEVER hit in single blows I alwasy hit in combinations of 4 or 5 hits in a FLOW !! This is NOT Karate , This is something sick that has Deteriorated into kick boxing !! This is just a Ninja Turtle art for Kids !!

  • @nicktesla45 we dont care how u fight, we are watching them fight!! get a grip mun

  • @nicktesla45 actually some people all this korean karate seeing as it taekwondo influences derive from both karate and taekkyon

  • @SFNDMK ...HwarangDo is also one of its origin.... use in silla D. by Hwarang wrrior

  • Some fo these guys dont know how to fight first guy may have won but he got lucky.

He was kicking from all the way from acroos the street. but i will say this when u arefast you can get away with all of that. Somebody highly skilled will tear these boys up.

  • 7:00 so many girls cheering him on... I wish I was him, lol.

  • I hope i can fight like that

  • this is the real TKD,,traditional ,powerfull, with hands ,fast ,full contact, continous fight without stopings by judges,,,this would be better as olympic sport ,more intresting by WTF tkd.

  • i like how the judges dont stop them after each contact.... Its annoying to compete in most regular taekwondo tournaments to stop after each contact

  • @Ninja0005 thier is more than 1 kind of sparring. ur talking bout point sparring. and continues olympic sparing

  • @justinhasproblems1 oh i was referring to the point sparring.. LOL

  • Okay, that first winning kick was bad ass.

  • the only thing i dont like about tae kwon do sparring is that people just sit there and bounce for so long... Im wtf style and its the same here. it does not make for a good fight and it means that the winner is decided by some lucky moves. also 90 seconds (how long whole fights are with me) is not enough at all to decide who is strongest.

  • Awesome display of the ITF-style sparring. Head gear is optional for advanced/higher ranks.

For those that complain about not seeing punches, punches are thrown - just so fast it's hard to see.

  • That was a hell of a tkd sparring match!!!

  • NOTE TO VIDEO: before sparring always WEAR YOUR TAEKWONDO SPARRING GEARS!!!!!

  • those looks way more intense than wrestling... haha still badass shit...

  • stupid fuckin asians

  • @facizelsticks stupid idiots like u need to suck on ur moms cocks and im not asian im indian

  • @2pkjs1351 your cool you smelly indian fuck i cant stand next to you guy because the smells makes me wanna throw up so go back to 7-11 and put 40 on #3

  • @facizelsticks Fcking cracker get your white ass off the computer and get a life lol.. you aint nothing but a bunch of skinny ass faggot.. so stop being racist so that you won get disrespected lol

  • why did the guy with long hair have his arms down at his waist? isn't it supposed to be guarding his face?

  • @Ngo321 they keep there arms down so there opponent wont know whether or not they will throw a punch or kick

  • omg foul makes me wanna join TKD i thought TKD was for pussies at first

  • finaly a punch

  • fighting some one who drank 3 red bulls before a match was a pain in the butt

it was like fighting a freaken guy on steriods

knock out is to risky when the guy can throw 4 kicks in 2 seconds x.x

i just got lucky.....then again luck isn't real so i know i won fair and square

  • Is it me or does it seem like in tae kwon do there are only kicks???

  • @Sandshrew980 it's mainly kicks - most Dojangs put emphasis on kicks and we have a lot more foot techniques than hand techniques (not including the running/flying/jumping kicks haha) If you're versing someone from tae kwon do and you're close enough to get in a punch (which is rare in the first place) I'd suggest you leap back before they knee you or kick you or something. :P speaking from experience

  • @Sandshrew980 well in wtf style taekwondo punches to the face are not allowed.

  • AWESOME sparring, man I loved that knockout at 1:00.. seriously, awesome! But wear some friggin helmets if you only spar!

  • @onepiece321321 Seriously... I trained for olympic style tae kwon do sparring and they wore helmets and chest pads (full contact is no joke)

  • i may be studying a different Tae Kwon-Do but arent there principals that sre basically the same? like stances? or basic kicks? ALSO... im pretty sure that tackle/grapple at 3:54 is not a Tae Kwon-Do technique at all?

    i could be wrong though

  • @atayl129 Yeh that was a cheap shot

  • that first kick was rough.. get pooned.

  • Those 360 kicks are awsome!!!

  • @bampotmark psssh i could do that in my sleep.... because i could only do that if i dreamed.... and honestly if i had to fight someoen like that, i would imedieatly forfiet.

  • yeah. it's ITF (International Tae Kwon Do Fediration.)

  • Well spoken Spikeouts...

every martial arts has something new you can add to your technique. that's why i love the humble MMA guys, who show their respect to their early traditional martial arts background, be that shotokan, taekwondo, BJJ, Boxing, kenpo or whatever..

  • Is this ITF sparring? They're not wearing hogus.

  • guy tries to head but at 3:54 ish

  • 1-2 and its over

  • @ UndeadPyro I'd like to see you try and close the gap without getting kicked first.

  • it looks like two taekwondo guys doing kickboxing. it's not like the taekwondo i know.

  • Kick Ass!!!

  • god those poeple shouting are soo annoying

  • hte dude who said that hed destroy them, look out casue you are underestimating them. that will get you knocked out

  • My god. Even when they allow hand strikes TKD fighters are totally reliant on kicks. I'd destroy these guys.

  • @UndeadPyro

Use your brains please. TKD uses kicks for the longer range and punches once the enemy gets close to you. Right now you saw 2 TKD artists fighting defensive and keeping their distance, so of cause you see kicks for the most part.

Eventhough it might look to you like TKD is 100% kicks, it's actually more like 60% kicks, 40% punches but the latter part can only be seen in aggressive matches or against other martial arts.

  • Now this is true skill.

  • i wonder if theyre both from north korea...

  • These guys aren't Asian. They're obviously Australian cos they hop like kangaroos!

  • @beejdee dude they're all south korean

  • @sejong5 it was a joke my friend.

  • wth are they wearing clown shoes?

  • 0:57 Ooh, I felt that =O

  • omg those are amazing kicks

  • always keep your hands up,

  • lol at @0:57

  • headbutt at like 3:40 WTF??????? is that allowed in TKD sparring? lmfao

  • i Blink i Miss

  • Thnx for the advice :) and yeah you were right about the dodging cuz when we were practicing sparring during the tae kwon do class and the dude was going to kick me I just ducked and backed up a little, so yeah I guess my height will help me out :D

  • such speed...

  • it seems like all master here, bt i bet any of you face them, cant last more than 5 sec, they master of that sht, dont you see the bell and how confidence they fight

  • I'm 4 ft 10.5 inches and I weigh 85 pounds. How will that affect me in general in sparring?

  • @1993misskitty the more weight you have the more force (mass) you can put behind your attacks. im short and light too so i know this well, what you have for yourself is more agility (espicially for kicks because the taller you are the harder it is to stretch the hips, like sitting cross-legged) and better maneuverability (like locking up opponents like in jujitsu, or throwing knees in clinchwork)

still, fighters are set into weight classes, so dont worry about height, helps alot in dodging

  • @1993misskitty

your best bet is to just be REAL quick. Just work on it. Its all about scoring the points, just get the good quick kicks and punches in and get out and do it over again. im a 2nd degree blackbelt in tae kwon do. i havent gone in a while but i know what im talking about

  • why is it all ways a round house kick even do it was cool

  • Xeveree las tecnicas...

  • @Whiterabbit3434 lol thks for pointing that out,do u noe there are ppl doing traditional taekwondo?get a kick from them, den tell me wad u feel, one kick from someone learning taekwondo doesnt mean all the rest of the ppl doing taekwondo kicks the same strength, this martial art u say useless is use by bodyguards of korea dude

  • @spikeouts I realize that it can be effective, im simply stating that the muay thai style of kicking delivers far more power, and is more practical.

  • @spikeouts That being said, Both fighting techniques can be effective, however, taekwondo is used to dazzle the opponent with sheer speed and number of attacks. Effective against your average joe.

  • @spikeouts However, a muay thai fighter, or boxer of the same experience/skill level in their respective styles would not be flustered. He or she would use counterstriking (via hands or defensive teeps) or effective clinchwork. TKD tends to leave the hands down and the face exposed, and become useless if the opponent closes to clinching range. Don't get me wrong, TKD is great, but all things being equal, a boxer or muay thai fighter will win 9 times out of 10.

  • Holy shit, that roundhouse at 55seconds is insane.

  • yeah i know that was a knee and a kick!!!!!

  • WTF is there a HEADBUTT at 3:51? is that allowed?

  • WOOOHOO go Ri Choi Nam! lol i liked how he performed

  • they are as fast as my grandmaster and my assistant masters.... haha... long live TAEKWONDO!!!

  • Yeah - Great stuff

  • Um, no helmets?

  • You need to be fast, obviously, it's an advantage to work with, when your fighting and you get really serious, time slows, as your decisions and reaction time shorten, it's a huge factor, fighting against someone fast and crazy is intimidating, so you have to think, how are you gonna seal this, you would only hope your skill.

  • look at their hands they are always down. KEEP YOUR HANDS UP

  • @DeadlyDavid100

ya, its kinda wierd that they keep their hands down. I think they are ITF style and my instructor always told me to keep my hands up. Lowering your hands is a sign of disrespect to your opponent

  • @DeadlyDavid100 you think you know more about tae kwon do than they do? keeping hands down taunts the opponent to try and kick you, taekwondo is all about self defense so the more opportunity you have to counter, the more likely you will win.

  • i like tkd but hapkido is a moor practical art but its all on the fighter not the art but hapkido works for me moor and thats what counts in my book so if the art feels right to you then thats the best srt for you

  • 0:55 was better than most of what iv seen at non tkd tournaments..

  • Wrong mickdo... In a test of different martial arts, TKD kicking had the fastest reaction and contact time of all, faster than any othe rmartials arts punches. Don't believe me? Watch Fight Science on the Science Channel.

  • those tests are only based on those idividuals. whoever represented TKD was just a very fast kicker...it doesn't mean that all TKD players are faster than any other martial artists. there are no better styles, only better players

  • y r these dudes so slow??

all the black belts and i could show these ppl really how to fight

  • they're not slow, its about scoring points not about who gets bashed first

  • sure but the faster person gets more oppotunities to score

  • its all about timeing altho speed is nice to have its not evrything

  • C1: you forgot to mention tkd girls. I received my black belt when I was 8 and I'm glad you realized that tkd is majorly kick ass. Everyone thinks of tkd like they think of soccer. Girls soccer is way more physical than people think and so is tkd...obviously

  • tkd. Good defense against tkd (1) keep hands up; (2) step in when they do; (3) kick lead leg as they step forward and kick with lead leg. With tkd hands down the head is wide open when you are inside.

  • as a judo, jiu jitsu, and muay thai practicioner, i have to say this video makes me respect tae kwon do a hell of a lot more than i used to. I know a few people who do tkd and my brother does kajukenbo, so i've seen them before. i was always under the impression that tkd was not as tough as muay thai or kjkb, but watching this video...especially at :55 makes me respect the tkd guys just a little bit more. Good Stuff :D

  • yeah me i was in tkd when i was like 12 to 15 yrs old, and yeah they do alot of kicks, obviously punches we arent known for our punches but like kicks, kinda like sanda except we dont have much of really any grappling at all

  • Also, never say things like muay thai or taekwondo or what martial art is the best, respect the diff martial arts of diff countries, appreciate them, who knows you might learn something new from the martial art you look down on

  • @spikeouts nah, tkd is just flash. Its a sport martial art, not an effective fighting style

  • @Whiterabbit3434 Repeat that after having recieved a kick by them.

  • @Iamnofirefighter having recieved a tkd kick, i can say with confidence that they are vastly inferior to the more effective Thai style of kicking. TKD kicks leave you too off balance, and deliver less power. They also leave you too open to effective counterstriking via punches. In addition, TKD is easily countered by effective clinch work or ground techniques. Like i said, good for sport, bad for fighting.

  • @Whiterabbit3434 I see now what you mean. They got less strength by throwing the kick more from the knee than from the hip. BUT this is to buy speed.

So every sport/martial art has its pro´s and cons.

  • @Iamnofirefighter Well said

  • @spikeouts

Thats excatly what i think man!lol

  • @spikeouts

Thats excatly what i think man!lol

it not the art but the artist who is the best.

  • In addition,i hope everyone will remember this,we all learn martial arts not to show who is better, rather to build up our body and become strong, sparring is just to see how much we have improve and how far more we can improve, thats the purpose of sparring, not to kill your opponent

  • Sorry, but you're wrong. Sparring is intended to prepare us to protect ourselves in a life threatening hand to hand combat situation. Of course, sparring is not about killing your opponent (in the sparring ring), but it should prepare to you do so "on the streets" if you have to.

The main components of a true martial artist are: humility, respect, self discipline, courtesy, and self control.

  • ahh, hand to hand combat, but u noe taekwondo is more on kicks during sparring,if hand to hand i bet we would lose too,for self defence,it wouldnt be sparring.instead a diff technique should be apply.

  • Well, it depends on how you train. If you practice defending yourself with either kicks or punches, you will be able to defend yourself with either kicks or punches. If you practice all kicks, it will be hard for you to incorporate punching into your sparring or self defense situation. Both are tools of self defense and both have their merits when used properly. (darn character limit...)

  • I actually know a world champion who has, on numerous occasions, defended himself against multiple attackers with practically "just" kicks. Of course, the people he kicked were down for the count after "just" ONE kick. A fast, powerful, and properly thrown kick is practically the best defense technique because it is not only the most powerful, but also the longest and safest type of attack (it keeps your main body out of range of injury from your attacker).

  • It's just not practical to throw around that many kicks. Kicks take more energy to throw than a punch, elbow or knee. Why do you think kickboxers lead with punches and finish their combos off with kicks? I also guarantee that for the number of kicks you could throw, anyone could throw at least twice as many punches, elbows of knees. Then there's the problem if someone grapples you. Trust me I used to do taekwondo, it was fun but I would NEVER use it in a self defence situation.

  • @mickdo8640: Never say never... You'll use what it comes out automatically... and believe it or not... sometimes one kick will indeed come out and will suffice.

It all depends on context. Of course.

  • sure u can use kicks during hand to hand combat, but not all kicks,u would have to use more on hands to defend urself.

  • Not necessarily. I suppose it would depend on how good you are at keeping people away from you with kicks. A kick is the most powerful attack that you have available to you, and if you can keep your attacker out of distance by kicking, then GOOD. In a self defense situation, your attacker(s) will not be expecting you to kick them, whereas they WILL be expecting you to punch.

  • @180Patrick360 Here,it depends on what kind of sparring you are referring to,if you are saying e.g tkd spar with other martial arts, yes u might be correct, but if it is pure tkd vs tkd,no its not preparing u.u dun expect ur opponent to exchange kicks with you thru out the fight in real life.he will grab ur leg or do some stuff.

  • So tell a kickboxer 2 do a 360 roundhouse kick

  • but i must say i love korean martial arts...taekwondo and hapkido..i. am a practitioner of both

  • i agree....no true martial artist would ever say his or her art is better....valid point

  • point

  • apf tova e nqkva palna skuka mu trqsna 1 mavashi se 4udi ot kade mu do6lo :X ni gard imat ni ni6to

  • lol.Guys, please remember and note that theres no best martial arts in this world, there is only a hardworking and gifted martial artist but never a best martial art.take note ya

  • finaly someone with good brains,

  • @pnick51 I agree- not to sound corny but you really never stop learning- respect

  • from what you just said, youve never fought a good tkd practitioner, a good tkd guy, youll never get the chance to jam his kicks, you wont see them coming, tkd guys dont get drained by kicking they have unbelievable stamina! believe me tkd fighters are one of the most adaptable fighters ever.

  • as a martial artist and tkd practionair,..i agreed,...valid point my friend

  • Tae kown do guys have the best kicks turst me I know in my school we don't punch at all but I know how 2 box

  • @SonnyBoy437 no actually kick boxer and tai boxers do

  • by studying this video, you can see clearly that they are leaving each other open for MANY hits. note to hardcore tkd people out there; keep your hands up!!! XD

  • sorry but boxers would get kick in the face before they got close enough to land a hit

  • Hwoarang!!! This is like live action Tekken. Just Kidding. (Don't get mad all you hardcore TKD fans)

  • looks like to bunnies in hopping around tapping each other ... why waste your energy bouncing and throwing off your center ... also they do run around and back a lot which is good for sport as you get a workout but fights generally dont last long enough and theres always the guy's friends around the corner

  • there is no martial art in the world that resembles a street fight, that does not mean you cant improve your fitness levels, youre kicking ability, youre reflexes, so that if you are attacked, you have a chance of survival. courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control, indomnitable spirit are the tenents of tae kwon do, which above all make you a better person, with a never say die attitude towards life, its saved my life more than once, in the street and in life.

  • Why are they slipping their guard? This is completely gay..

  • @TheNorwegianStallion It's TKD. They (we're) famous for that.

Lame? Yep (good example starting at 0:50), but it's lazy style... much like why snowboarders wear their pants around their knees. Makes no sense, no practical value, but by gosh it looks "COOL." (HA!)

    Piece mate,

    -Beau

  • Haha, peace, bro

  • 0:53 WOW!! niiceee

  • its wat fighter u fight and tkd u can use on the streets easy tkd is speed and k.o kicks when u go 2 put a tkd person on 2 the floor its a easy a steaping bak then after that you can guess what happens k.o dick head

  • no reason why a taekwondoist cant study brazillian jujitsu, i mean hardly against the law is it?

  • yeah i agree

  • @singhakabuttar some of us do

  • 2:37

    TKD is not like this!

  • Comment removed

  • bruce lee sed this was a very ineffective style of fightin and waste of time

  • That might be true of what its become, students are often not taught how to handle grabs and certain blocks and when they enter a real fight and not a tournament fight they get a nasty surprise. However, TKD was developed so that unarmed men could fight mounted solders. In its original form it's quite deadly. This fight looks pretty good too.

  • Bruce lee's kicks were crap and this is a sport not a street fighting technique, although it does help.

  • Holy shit Lovely shot 1:05

That kick is really hard to land, especialyl like that

  • damn 00:56

  • TKD ITF is much more effective, agressive and faster

  • This IS ITF TKD my friend and a one of the finest examples of ITF semi contact sparring on YT.

  • wow i think that was a nice hook cick on 0:40

  • Yo practique Shotokan Karate y actualmente practico este taekwondo y te puedo asegurar que el taekwondo gana y es mucho mejor.

  • Really inspiring. nothing flashy, just basic skills strung together. good defense, careful and pointed offense. patience....

  • 0:52 is awesome.

  • hmmm so this is taekwondo in korea :D i loved taekwondo in holland but wtf!! in korea are the real fighters :D i guess i will never be as good as a real korean :( 5/5!!!

  • well come to k1

  • see now this is the kind i like to watch, no protection, and im guessing is full contact?

  • the protection is minimal even in the olympic sparring. it's there to prevent serious damage but it still hurts. and there they have protection. look at their feet and hands. they hav
