Facts: They Rehearsed This Little Version. They Agreed To Do It. They Didn't want To Play This Song Because It Was A Led Zeppelin Exclusive Track. They Only Played It When All Three Members Were Present Once Bonham Died. It Was A Signature Song Of Led Zeppelin And Plant And Page Both Felt They Should Not Play The Whole Thing Unless It Was Under The Name Led Zeppelin. This Is Page & Plant Everyone. Not Led Zeppelin :).

what is interesting about this video, is that they were asked to preform one song on the spot. The song was stairway, which plant vowed never to sing again. They were about to play babe im going to leave you, but plant changed his mind, and they did stairway.

because his brother died and Bonham died. He didn't wanna sing it anymore. Yet, Page started stumming Stairway to Heaven's riff, Plant had no choice, he went on to sing a shortened version.

It had nothing to do with who died, and it wasn't his brother it was his son, it was because they played it at EVERY show from 3/5/71 until 7/7/80 (except about three when the shows got cancelled early) so he got sick of it. And Page didn't just start playing it they agreed to do it.

the japanese actually used the imformation that Robert Plant gave them here to construct the first great project of Japan's own space proram. Still in the secret stages but its essenstially a Space elevator. To an Observatory well above the stratosphere. I think it may have something to do with the Ozone. or possibly aliens. after this preformance the prime minister began to laugh apperantly at the obserdity of undertaking a stairway of such a great magnitude.
