@RayneHatori He's actually very easy to romance. :) If I know I'm going to be siding with a mage in a quest, I don't bring him along. He also seems to appreciate sarcastic/witty Hawke. The Dragon Age wikia will tell you which dialogue options will give him friendship/rivalry points.

@danhutcherson the tattoos are selected at the start o the game in the apperance options OR if you have the dlc black emporium you can put a tattoo on there :]

@Kuroloki I think this is the Friendship based romance, whereas the Rival based romance is a little.... rougher. ;)

@inlovewithtruth Actually i think you get the rougher romance after you get questioning beliefs. This is for if you complete that after a bitter pill.

@iiwolfeh It's caused when you don't have enough friendship/rivalry points to have a romance. Once you gain them, usually by giving him the Book of Shartan, he will reappear at your house after denying you when he shows up the first time.
