I understand Wilders' concern about radical Islam in Europe, but if he's concerned about foreigner crime he should try to make it more difficult to enter the country, rather than expelling citizens. Citizenship has obligations but also rights attached to it, and I feel that when we say someone is a citizen, we cant kick them out. I am not Dutch but that is my belief of what citizens should be entitled to. Wilders is on a slippery slope

@Amero1 Dude, you said it- the muslims indeed have their own (fucked up) countries like Libya, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Tunis and Dubai (which was built and is being built by poor migrant workers who are treated worse than slaves of 16th century) to name a few. None of the fully muslim operated countries in the whole world has similar working democracy, freedom of speech and human rights laws like, for example Netherlands has. I think what Geert is saying around cultural identity in the Netherlands is important as these characteristics make this part of the world unique from the rest, and i think expressing this unique identity is great. But, to make it law i think, becomes somewhat oppressive if you do not meet the criteria and of course this leads to a host of social, economic and political problems,so i think a shared sense of citizenship for all cultural backgrounds is important for cultural and religious harmony

@godimagebearer I am a normal Finnish middle class guy and i live in an apartment building where the ethinicity is about 50/50 persian/nordic. I have great discussions about new technology with some of them on the bus sometimes. I also talk politics with them and they vote secular-rational, non-traditional. One of them has a daughter who is in junior high and speaks 6-7 languages, including perfect Swedish, good English and good enough Finnish. The problem isn't Islam.

IOW, his solution doesn't appeal to me, but that doesn't mean that the problem does not exist, and that he's not incredibly right that the whole multiculturalist "culture" has been a giant suicidal movement.

Some countries might have done a bad job at integrating, or haven't been able to integrate fast enough, that's true. The problem isn't in diversity, though, but in the speed at which it has come. For me, it hasn't been a problem. For half-wits, it probably is.

@goldensassenach It doesn't matter who was an ally to whom, the problem isn't who he allies with, but instead who he stigmatizes. Also, loads of Nazis stayed in West Germany, many came to power there, some fled to Argentina and other places, some were taken in by the US, etc. Nazis were everywhere. It doesn't matter what ideology he belongs to anyway, as he's doing the same things, but to different groups in the population.

The nazi's IMHO made just one mistake, that was during the battle of britain and if not for that mistake they would probably have conquered the world. IF you're referring to the mass murders of millions of people mostly jews, who said that didn't go so well. Whether or not you agree with it is irrelevant the nazis were very good at what they wanted to achieve considering how they started after the war with the treaty of versailles.
