  • Does your button in the middle actually disturb their communication? I Love star wars and foubnd it funny even as a kid that there are 4 buttons and one of them is reserved for jamming communikations :)

  • can u say....F.A.G

  • 40 second intro for a 2 minute video...Wadsworth

  • Comment removed

  • i had to mute the video so my room mates wouldnt think I was watching porn

  • I tried to make one of these when I was 8. Essentially imagine a piece of log, a broomstick, two slats of plywood on the front, and four plastic wheels nailed to the bottom part of the log. Oh and to steer I nailed a strip of wood across the top front. It um.... Didn't go.... but truthfully in my imagination, before it was done it looked exactly like yours. Beautiful replica. Thanks for sharing!

  • so where do you get the helmet?

  • awsome no need fly tickets for this :D...can i win vs. ufos :D

  • If the government wouldn't surpress the information on how flying saucers work, speeder bikes would be possible.

  • Looks like you spent all your money on the bike cuz you costume looks like total balls.

  • I would spend thousands for that bike! weatherit works or not!

  • You are a nerd, but at the same time AWESOME!!!!

  • That is an amazing replica. Did you make it yourself? If so I would like some tips as I am creating one on a much smaller scale.

  • why is their a nerf longshot acting as the blaster. kinda confused?

  • '

yess i see that wheels from skateboard wheels

  • what a great job, wow looks like it could fly right now

  • Thanks!

  • Great choice in music. Heavy Metal: The Movie FTW!

  • I would like some one to mode their motorcycle into one of these. I would if I had a motorcycle and the technical skills. Great work.

  • I'd like to hear from someone who has worn the Scout helmet on a Ninja type bike, who has driven at speeds in excess of 150 mph and turned their head to the side. I'm of the belief that the Scout helmet design would cause their head to be wrenched back.

  • @NeuvoDare Have a look at the 501st Garrison website. There's a shot of a guy wheelieing a R1 (I think) wearing a Scout Trooper outfit on there. Maybe they could fill you in.

  • Absolutely awesome!

  • Biker Scout costume needs some work! ;)

  • I only have so much money to spend on these little projects of mine, sorry.

  • Do you still have the print outs??

  • And how the hell did you get away using "Heavy Metal" in this video? I'm surprised you didn't get caught or something...

  • How much to build me one? Seriously!

  • can it drive?

  • WOOT

  • and now I am jealous...

  • can u ride it

  • Nice ride!

  • That is the best thing I've seen in a while. I want one.

  • sweet!

  • What is the song. I have heard it in south park before. Armor looks almost like a scout troopers. :-)

  • Thanks. The song is "Heavy Metal (Take a Ride)" by Don Felder.

  • nice, how fast does it go??

  • It is powered by a power-chair, with a top speed of approx. 4 mph

  • lol not fast

  • DEAR GOD I LOVE IT!!!!

  • No way man. That is too cool.

Build an AT-AT Walker next, you could use it to go on holidays in.

    Bravo!

  • That is one SWEET ride! I want to make one. I'm a Scout Trooper with the 501st and that is the one thing I would love to build!

  • Thats hardcore! Makesme wish I had one and a bikerscout costume :D

  • You got it.

  • lol, is that a nerf longshot?

  • oh my god this is awsome! 501/5

how did you make the parts?

  • Thank you! I used the AMT/Ertl 1/6th scale model kit to reproduce it by scanning the parts, blowing them up to size and using the printouts as patterns. The parts are sculpted in Urethane foam and coated in resin. The substructure is a combination of steel water pipes, PVC pipe and MDF board.

  • Now *that* is a hawg! You planning on bringing it to Wonderfest one of these days? It can't be too hard to find a trailer for it.

  • Sweet!!

So it can stand by itself w/o the wheelchair part?

    AWESOME!!

  • Thanks! I guess it all comes down to money; I made the costume for about the cost of a good Scout Helmet - maybe one of these days.

  • CON-GRA-TU-LA-TIONS, that was awesome !!!

The 501 guys have full replicas of the Scout Troopers armor (including the helmet ;). Why don't you contact them in order to get one ? can they be purchased or must they be "scratchbuilded" ?

  • Hammy Sagar !!!!

  • Thank you, from a former Buckeye (Chardon, OH). I have given some thought to building the Landspeeder full size, having bought the Hasbro model for reference and a used golf cart to attach the body to. The windshield is the only thing holding me back - way too expensive to have fabricated. I've also given some consideration to building the Snowspeeder full-size on the same golf cart (budget estimate at about $3K for materials), but we'll just have to see what happens with the economy.

  • Beautiful

Are you planning on any more 1:1 scale vehicals like the Landspeeder?

  • Awesome is all i can say. I have been debating this very same project for quite some time

  • Awesome! Now you must only get a Scout trooper armor!

  • very nice job on your bike. 2qs-how long did it take to make? and whats it made from?

  • now that you have this finished what does it do other than sit still?

  • i'm building an r2-d2 unit and i want to make also a speeder bike can you give me any help about blueprints or something?
