As a UNC alumnus, I was surprised to hear how many times it was mentioned. I agree with you that it shouldn't have been mentioned that many times over the course of the game. Hopefully, State will continue to improve and do well next year and make the NCAA tourney because I like Sidney Lowe. He is a class act!

there are more unc fans when you look at the pure numbers (when you take into account all the bandwagon fans), but state fans have put up with losing teams left and right since Valvano was fired and they still support their teams much more than UNC fans did this year. UNC is known for having bandwagon fans who are UNC fans in b-ball season, but haven't set foot on campus or even know UNC has any other athletic teams.

As a UNC alumnus, I was surprised to hear how many times it was mentioned. I agree with you that it shouldn't have been mentioned that many times over the course of the game.
