I think the tension in these movies is great, but the main problem is, each time the end result isnt always bigger, which would make it better if each time it got worse and worse, and worse. But it was pretty much the same over and over again until the end when BOOM it it crazy out of nowhere.

@funkyt23 Same here, i thought the first one was good because it wasn't all just a bunch of jump scares (alá 90% of all so-called horror movies) but that it was a sense of general dread that slowly built up. Sure there was some jump scares but they were always justified and were few and far between.
So all in all, i really liked the first movie and if i get the chance i will watch the second movie :)

The movie had me scared until the end. While it scared me with all the jump scares (Which I hate) it completely lost me at the end. The first one was scary because it was grounded in realism. The things the ghost did could happen in real life. With this one, the ghost just turned into some kind of Batman like demon that moves through shadows and knows killer kung fu. Sorry, it's a very low rental and this movie ended exactly like the last one so we know that a third movie is coming.

They like quite a lot of stuff. They gave Jackass 3D Full Price - I would've given it Rental, because I can't stand Johnny Knoxville. Toy Story 3, Dark Knight and District 9 all got Better Than Sex - and rightly so.

@KILLSHOCK1100 I have to honest, I really like the movies. I like how subtle it is compared to other shitty slasher remakes where there has to be terrible jump scares every five seconds, instead having nice, escalating tention.

@funkyt23 Same here, i thought the first one was good because it wasn't all just a bunch of jump scares (alá 90% of all so-called horror movies) but that it was a sense of general dread that slowly built up. Sure there was some jump scares but they were always justified and were few and far between.
So all in all, i really liked the first movie and if i get the chance i will watch the second movie :)

The movie had me scared until the end. While it scared me with all the jump scares (Which I hate) it completely lost me at the end. The first one was scary because it was grounded in realism. The things the ghost did could happen in real life. With this one, the ghost just turned into some kind of Batman like demon that moves through shadows and knows killer kung fu. Sorry, it's a very low rental and this movie ended exactly like the last one so we know that a third movie is coming.

@Xmusicforever7x the thing is I think these movies are good if you dont know about the hype and you see it randomly a year later without expectations. But what I hate is when they have the night vis cam on the audiance going "aghhhh" who are acting on que to hype it up.

I liked the first Paranormal Activity film, but this didn't look very good on the trailers. I can see I wasn't wrong to assume it wouldn't be an especially good film.

@stitch5 I don't really go in much for the jump scares, although they worked well in the 1st film. I want to see that film Legend of the Guardians: that looks really good.
They like quite a lot of stuff. They gave Jackass 3D Full Price - I would've given it Rental, because I can't stand Johnny Knoxville. Toy Story 3, Dark Knight and District 9 all got Better Than Sex - and rightly so.

@NobleM15fan there is jump scares of course but there is also that kind of just creepy scary and they again make daytime scary which is something i loved about the first one. and i agree with you on the better than sex things well dark knight is full price in my opinion but the other 2 are better than sex. But yeah go see paranormal 2 i really liked it and got me pumped for the 3rd one

@NobleM15fan actually dude I was as skeptical as you and I decided hell we'll give ti a chance (wife and I) and we were pleasantly surprised that the set pieces for the scares were considerably more creative and scarier. The story was more solid this time round, as well as the acting. I think you'll be surprised as well.
