Aside from being very funny, this movie is so on the mark about families. It's unflinchingly honest, and old wounds are not healed by the time the credits roll, yet it still ends on a satisfying note. There's an exchange between the two sisters at the end that basically sums up the whole movie and its hard to listen to yet you can't help but nod your head. Jodie Foster directs this brilliantly. I watch this every holiday season.
