Kodak Zi8 HD Test Video

For Kodak Zi8. I have tried using a Sony Vegas Platinum HD Ten. The problem is that whenever I play back my footage on the editor. It just updates the video like every nine seconds. Which makes it like impossible to edit anything because the video is laggy and you cant tell where anything is. It doesnt work great at all. Same thing happens with Power Director Nine and the software this came with. But when it is uploaded to the internet it plays just fine. I cant find a editor that works Windows.

Can you give any specs about the cam?

Btw. Have you considered using a DSLR instead of a videocam? :)
