@xraidedlok I wouldn't say I wasted money. The instructors are great at SB. Every time I feel like I'm getting good, I go for a few laps with a pro and am instantly humbled. I would say that there are probably cheaper ways to go racing. A few of the guys have their own websites and do private instruction. If you have a suitable car, you could probably get track time and an instructor for less than half the price.
taking the corkscrew in 3rd isn't a bad tecnique. disengauging the clutch when you're going to make a turn that sharp and on top of that putting it in a lower gear doubles your chances of losing lateral grip.
it's not a bad way to learn.
i hope to take this class in a year or so, at laguna. its a nice place.
I really enjoyed the car. It has just enough power to be fun, but forces technique in the corners to maintain momentum. I watched your multi camera video. What's that bit you're doing with your left foot after you heel-toe the downshift?
ever feel like you wasted your money on this? i wanna do it

I appreciate the feedback. I see from your own videos you handle a Miata rather well yourself.
