I really wanted to get this game until i just checked the amount of DLC content you have to download if you want All of the achievements. 8 DLC Packages in total at the cost of roughly just under £60, i mean WTF!... Thats another New game & a half. I dont mind some DLC to download but this is just taking the piss & money out of gamers. i see a lot of comparisons to kotor and mass effect. i havent played mass effect (which apparently is a sin, haha) but this game looks promising. Dragon age origins has an amazing story, fun gameplay, and it is very well written.Dragon age 2 has much faster combat and much more blood and gore.I felt the conversation was way too easy.The wheel of all the options to choose from was a nice addition, however there is a picture for every option like a heart, halo, laughing face and a judges hammer thing. You might like this but I thought it wasn't as satisfying, but you do hear your character's voice in the cutscenes though you can't change it

Dude, they combat system is so slow. I prefer my combat in real time thanx. None of that tell the computer to attack and the guy starts attackin on his own. Same way with KotOR. I swear, the best games BioWare has made are Mass Effect 1&2 and Jade Empire. Both with real time combat.

you have to be patient with the game, darksiders will not "wow" you because it is not the "most" original game so to speak. However dragon age has a kind of world of Warcraft style. I'd suggest you rent the game and if you like it then you should go ahead and buy it.

It depends. Do you like more free-roaming type stuff without much plot, or is story-driven RPG more your thing?

This game certainly feels more like a role-playing game in that you can control the fates of all the major players based on your choices along the way. Not to mention the dungeon-crawling in this game is far more varied and interesting than that of Oblivion.

I know it may sound like I'm cutting Oblivion down, but honestly. I love them both. They are just different.

just to let evey1 know this game is played just like WOW, you dont do nuthin except click on the enemy and pres some skills now and then. your character does all the work. that is why games like fable and assasins creed rock and games like this absolutely suck. especially since the trailer of this game looked epic and made it seem great even though [in my opinion] its just not a game that can be played. there is not much fun in it and the player barely does any work. AC2 was way better than this

The console version gameplay is much more dumbed down than the PC version. Even as accessible as it is for someone like you, you still didn't enjoy it, and thats fine, its your opinion. But I guess Bioware did try.

Personally I love this game, the game mechanics are a little iffy, but when you bypass that, the story is rich, versitle and quite epic. RPG's, in my opinion, have never really been about gameplay for me, sure it adds to it, but

I disagree on the console version being 'dumbed down'. Sure, it isn't as strictly authentic to the RPG formula, but in my opinion Bioware merely took out the unnecessary bits that didn't do much extra for the gameplay. I have played on both the PC and the 360, and i personally prefer the 360...
