There is a theory that the Indo-aryan people invaded India from Central Asia. By that time India were inhabited by the Dravidians, who were forced to move South. But the Tamils are of Dravidian origin and arrived to Sri Lanka from Southern India. I could tell you a lot about this. So if you want to learn some history... :-D
