Man I wish this game had the Dirt Series Damage system. That is prolly THE best damage system out there right now in my opinion. The guys over at Codemasters did one helluva job on that aspect

@18carNASCAR Richard Towler won the iRacing World Championship and all a sudden he's a legend, when in reality, he's just another sim racer like anyone else.

That's what happens these days. People race in the world championship series and people think they've gods. It's not hard to get into the series. Anyone who puts in any effort can make the cut to race in it.

I was already sim racing on TEN back in the 90's when most of these cats were still in diapers. :P

Yeah you must have LOTS of assists on. I know when I drive this track I tend to lock the brakes up alot and when I try to put the throttle down it either spins out or the engine sounds flat and takes several seconds to spool up. Not sure what causes that. I have no assists turned on and the best lap I can do is 1:21 ish. I have been hesitant to turn on any assists because I want to learn to control the car

You're using auto braking. So clear, then again, I dont blame you because you can barely drive the car, and the game is worse then a high school kids computer class project. Its have done.

I used to love NASCAR games. If anyone watching this is considering buying this game don't. I thought it all looked great too. I have never been so dis-appointed in a video game. Definitely does not live up to the expectations the trailers/preview vids show

Wow, I really like that bit at around 0:18 when the car hops off the curb. The way the car reacts and bounces around is very impressive...well for a NASCAR game anyways. Since I'm sure all of us still have the horrors of trying to drive the nonreactive boats of NASCAR 09 around Infineon imprinted in our minds.

@rig48 We don't really have a choice. Microsoft wheel is the only realistic option for most of us. It's either that or spend a fortune on a Fanatec wheel that you're probably going to end up waiting 6 months for anyways. The good Logitech wheels aren't 360 compatible, and from what I've heard Mad Catz wheels suck.

From what I understand EA made attempts to make this game seem realistic. So why not use a steering wheel on a powerful PC rather than make the game a console version only, when a PC is far superior to a console.

to answer your questions:

1) there is day/night transitions

2)cars can run different grooves in the race

3)parts fall off the car and show the parts missing from the car and causing to cut tires or loose parts to do the same effects as well

4)there is custimzation for cars and setups are detailed

5)rivals become a part in this game if you run into someone too much they race you harder

6)each driver races to their exact traits on the track, so yes david ruttimann cant hold his line xD lol

It reminds me (and honestly, it resembles) a boost meter. Its obviously not that, so what is it? The only thing I can think of is a % of throttle meter, but a gauge (over a bar) doesn't seem to be the best way to represent one of those....

@liverpoolreds8 Was thinking the same thing, except in my case it reminded me of NASCAR Thunder 2004, which was the first one I played, and I actually still play it. Every one after '05 got progressively worse, and I pawned them off. Beating a dead horse here, but EA really dropped the ball on the series. Glad to see a different developer get their shot at it, and from what I've seen so far, it's looking really good.

@Tylnorton The only series is going to be Sprint Cup. This has been confirmed with Dave. But honestly most people don't run either very often. From what i know it will most likely be in the next game,they were just more focused on the Sprint Cup for this one which is a good thing because they were able to take there time.

Dude, best video yet! I see they actually did right with removing the wall in the hairpin turn and adding the grid right before entering the hairpin.. E.A. never had a grid there before the pits on the left side.. As for the tire sounds 100% satisfied, not squealing every turn and the car hopping is GREAT!

The thing that I like about this game is that it seems like you can really "feel" the grip between your tires and the track. In NASCAR 09, it felt as if you were just sliding around on ice, but this new game really captures that grip to the track that is there in real life. I applaud Eutechnyx for picking that up and really putting it in the game well.
