Ever since 1976 when I came to faith, I've liked this music very much. It's just so encouraging thru all the changes of life, almost like hearing from The Book of Life itself. Not all musicians are good teachers -this he mastered too. An example to all.
@dozesof Amen, The Lord still uses Keith to minister throughout the ages. There is a brokenness to this dear man of God that makes me long for Jesus. Keith was said he was a preacher before he is a musician. Keith and his ministry is no doubt anointed by the Holy Ghost. The real deal. Praise God!

@fitenchnc No he was simply a careless guy who was warned not to make the plane overweight, and he could have said "I'm sorry, I can't take all those people so we'll have to make two trips" but he didn't. And we know what happened as a result. It was nothing "planted"; it was human nature and pride.

Keith Green is my favorite Christian musician of all time. He was such a man after the Lord's heart. His music is evidence of how Jesus was his greatest treasure. His music has influenced my walk with the Lord so much, because Keith is truly an exhorter and his music continues to change people's lives, to convict their hearts, and to glorify the Lord long after his death. That is the kind of life I want to live. One that continues to glorify the Lord after I am gone.
Brother Keith and those on the plane with him were essentially murdered at the hands of the Vatican and her Jesuit agents. They died martyr's, and yes will receive a martyr's crown, to which they will but only place at the feet of the Lord Jesus!

Keith Green was the psalmist of our times. His music is so passionate and Holy Spirit inspired, i can say i am yet to so any christian artist to match the kind of music Keith did, and he's been gone for over 25 years. Most gospel artists now, just do it for the money. ', it is still fresh and great in 2009.

Even though he had passed well before I was born, Keith Green's music and life behind it is no less of a rolemodel to me. I'm blessed to be serving next year at his former estate in Texas, which has run with his life calling and devoted itself to reaching the next generation. I'm glad to see that not even death could stop his heart from reaching out to people - and that is the true power of Jesus Christ in our lives.

I feel many churches are to sugar and spice... but not all. The heavenly father (YHWH) will, if you are truely seeking the truth, lead you where he wants you. I needed to be in church as well as in my own personal devotions. Some of the hardest lessons of the ways of YHWH I learned during short prayers when he spoke to me about the condition of my heart. But I have also learned a lot by disagreeing with the pastor of the church I attend.

I agree that the church doesn't always tell you all the truth, but does scripture not say "do not forsake the assembling of yourselves as some are in the habit of doing"? If you were to never listen to anyone who didn't tell you the whole truth all the time you would have to lock yourself in a sound proof room and ignore your own one sided thoughts.
Keith Green's songs made me recall my early days of walk with Jesus as a new believer. His songs are continually used by the Lord to refresh believers with their commitment in the Lord.

I've understood he was a singer in the 70's & how much he loved God & was God revelealed he'd die young, and did. But I don't know any back story...was he with a famous band b4? Keith has been dead since 1982. I can still remember the shock and horror we felt upon hearing of his, and his 2 children's deaths in an airplane crash.

Keith Green is my favorite Christian musician of all time. He was such a man after the Lord's heart. His music is evidence of how Jesus was his greatest treasure. His music has influenced my walk with the Lord so much, because Keith is truly an exhorter and his music continues to change people's lives, to convict their hearts, and to glorify the Lord long after his death. That is the kind of life I want to live. One that continues to glorify the Lord after I am gone.

Brother Keith and those on the plane with him were essentially murdered at the hands of the Vatican and her Jesuit agents. They died martyr's, and yes will receive a martyr's crown, to which they will but only place at the feet of the Lord Jesus!
My prayer is that we all join them soon to meet them in the clouds to meet our Soverign Lord and Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ in that Great Open Air Meeting. (-1 Corinthians 15:51-55; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

Keith Green was a believer like you or me. He was a prophet in that he sung and spoke for The Master. God did not take Him, an overstuffed single prop plane killed all aboard, including Keith with 2 of his children. Bob Dylan was saved and he also played harmonica on Keith's "So You Wanna Go Back To Egypt?" Album.

Keith Green was the psalmist of our times. His music is so passionate and Holy Spirit inspired, i can say i am yet to so any christian artist to match the kind of music Keith did, and he's been gone for over 25 years. Most gospel artists now, just do it for the money. ', it is still fresh and great in 2009.
Thank God for the ministry he had and the music he left us with.

I completely agree with you. No one today is as anointed and passionate about Jesus like Keith was. He was truly one of a kind, unmatched! And even after 25 yrs his music is still anointed and never gets old.

A few of the less mainstream artists/bands who seem to sing more from the heart to me are, to name a few, Jason Upton, Misty Edwards, Kim Walker-Smith, and Watermark. Jason Upton has actually been called 'this generation's Keith Green' by some people.. though he is much less known than KG ever was

Even though he had passed well before I was born, Keith Green's music and life behind it is no less of a rolemodel to me. I'm blessed to be serving next year at his former estate in Texas, which has run with his life calling and devoted itself to reaching the next generation. I'm glad to see that not even death could stop his heart from reaching out to people - and that is the true power of Jesus Christ in our lives.

WOW what a great testimony; His life touched so many because he was truly anointed in giving Glory to the God he loved so much. May I caution you? Just before his death he was really coming against the Catholic church, I think that was not apart of God's plan. I am not catholic I serve Jesus with every part of me and I minister to Catholics about the truth but one of one whenever God brings one to me. I feel many churches are to sugar and spice... but not all. The heavenly father (YHWH) will, if you are truely seeking the truth, lead you where he wants you. I needed to be in church as well as in my own personal devotions. Some of the hardest lessons of the ways of YHWH I learned during short prayers when he spoke to me about the condition of my heart. But I have also learned a lot by disagreeing with the pastor of the church I attend.
There is a place for both.

I have his CD's and he reaches me in ways no one else can. It's like the only key that fits to address areas where I don't want to go. Very few songs up to date does what he does in his songs one right after another.

maranatha is correct. half of what is CONSIDERED "church" in the good 'ol u.s. of a is about half apostate. milktoast, ear tickling, feel good messages is NOT what Jesus preached. not all pastors are saved men, (many modern churches have women preachers-see what i mean) and not every building w/ a cross on it is a Church.

I agree that the church doesn't always tell you all the truth, but does scripture not say "do not forsake the assembling of yourselves as some are in the habit of doing"? If you were to never listen to anyone who didn't tell you the whole truth all the time you would have to lock yourself in a sound proof room and ignore your own one sided thoughts.

Keith was a faithful servant to his time. We all need to realize that is what we are to be. He is a great example of what Jesus (our ultimate example) is to be. Things just aren't the same without Keith, but neither are they without YOU, who needs to get ready to minister in these last days.

This song was introduced to me by the brothers and sisters in the Lord at Presidio of Monterey, California in 1979. We defended our country together and graduated Defense Language Institute then went to cryptology school together at Goodfellow Air Force Base in Texas. The unbelievers called us the God Squad and we were bold to witness.

hi,I have several Keith Green cd's. LOVE THEM!My sister told me about him,just when I was discovering Christian music.Late 80's early 90's. I've understood he was a singer in the 70's & how much he loved God & was God revelealed he'd die young, and did. But I don't know any back story...was he with a famous band b4? I've always assumed so,but no one I've spoken to knew.I see others comments,& (surprise) I also go to Calvary Community Church in Phoenix (a Grace Chapel Church)
