I use my computers for work 90%. Email, word, excel, some photo and presentations, some video, sync my phone and my blackberry, web of course, youtube in free time, no facebook of course, no games, that's it. Apple is perfect for me, it looks very nice, very solid, very quick, simple to use, too expensive. PC can do everything I need, for cheaper, and much more options. But i still prefer Apple.

I'm seeing a growing trend. It seems the people who care less about computer specs are more likely to buy Apple laptops and desktops, which I'm finding utterly ridiculous. mac pro 8 core? playing games? thats impressive, but i hate apple and macs and i play on a custom made PC, running XP, Vista, and Linux (3 seperate hard drives). it's built with a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 295 video card and 16GB's of RAM, way better than mac pro, and i'm able to run Sims 3, World of Warecraft, COD4, Bioshock, and games of the liking all at once....still haven't had a problem

@shupea18 No offense, but you gotta be a moron. Even with 16 gigs of ram, emulating or completely running multiple OS's AND multiple games would bog the system hard. I know, because even on the stock Dell I got before I upgraded, it had an ATI radeon HD 4200, 16 gigs ram, and 1 tbye internal HDD, along with a 2 tb external. I can play games no problem, and even run linux with windows emulation no prob. But multiple Ops and mult games at the same time? The comp would crash no doubt.

@shupea18 Not to mention, your custom PC is running 3 OS's? 2 drives are external and the data exchange would have high latency. So to run the two extra OS's simultaneously, it would eat into your memory and mess up the registry pretty bad. Plus, now you claim to be running 4 online multiplayer games simultaneously... I'm hoping you realise the impracticality, as well as the fact that anything less than at least the highest comcast package, would mean your gaming would be MAYBE 25 FPS at best

@shupea18 Trust me, I'm the first person to call Microsoft out ony copying technologies, but this is the one occasion where I can say kudo's Microsoft. Yes, Windows Vista and 7 do LOOK like rip offs of MAC osX. And yes, MAC uses PPE as does linux. The Ipad and iphone might use "multi-touch" but the capacity is very low on these. 10 people couldn't be touching simultaneously, etc. Microsoft surface could handle that. I'd actually be a lot more inclined to want this in my home if it was running

@shupea18 a full Cell B/E processor, with at least 8 gigs shared ram and 8 gigs of xdr. Only bad thing is that Windows architecture won't work on the cell. But Windows 7 has the potential to be easily rewritten without x86 stucture, and be remade for the cell. MAc can and is implemented on the cell easily. If you have full hypervisor access anything is possible really. The cell will run processes faster than your multi-core PC's on their best day. LOL

Apple did not invent the mouse, it was invented at Stanford Research Institute by Douglas Engelbart and was later licensed by Apple from SRI (although Apple should be given credit for making the basic invention into what it is today).
