This means they had a chance at heaven, because "Will not the judge of all the world do right." A whole generation of babies was saved from hell.

@TheRealityofNature As to Sodom & Gomorrah, He did destroy them killing the children & babies. He did this because all but 1 family (Noahs) & 1 adult (Lot) were evil. He knew they would bring up the children the same way. The only way to save the children was to take them before the age of choice, so that they had not rejected Him. This means they had a chance at heaven, because "Will not the judge of all the world do right." A whole generation of babies was saved from hell.

Could it be that God allows suffering and even the deaths of innocent children because He is bringing them home before they have a chance to grow up and reject HIm? With that said, not sure how you think you are punished for being horrified. He is good in that while you were still His enemy, Christ died for you providing a way for you to have eternal life. He doesn't force you and respects your freedom to reject Him, as do I. You need to know that while he was on the cross, you were on His mind.
