Good thing the dog backed off. I had a cattle dog that got the snot kicked out of him a couple of times before he realized he wasn't faster than the llama. If he latched onto the neck he would have been thrown quite a long distance. Llamas are a coyotes worst nightmare and are very territorial when threatened.
@dieselboy87 I doubt it. If it DID latch on, it would likely just get a mouthful of wool......and then have the snot kicked out of it by all the other llamas in the pen, which weight at least 5x as much as it does. Theres a reason farmers put a llama or two in with their sheep as protection.
