Duff Mckagen (Guns 'N' Roses), Paul Gray (Slipknot), Mark Hoppus (Blink-182), Matt Freeman(Rancid) all used plectrums on bass and are probably a hell of a lot better than you at playing this instrument. Plectrums are used on bass for tone and consistency. Maybe you should learn something about guitars before you start talking shit on the internet.
