your pain. At that moment I experienced a level sadness and pain, beyond unendurable. It only lasted a manner of seconds, but it is something I have never forgotten. I thought about that pain multiplied by a billion lives, and my heart was torn with both love and unfathomable awe at the depth and power of the love of our Creator for us. Everyday, I live with a desire seared into my heart not to bring Him pain. So, I take very seriously the lessons He has taught me, and continues to teach me.
know His will without knowing His heart. The two are inseparable. Once, when I was new believer and He was teaching me about Himself, I came across police surrounding the body of a woman who had committed suicide. Looking at the sight, a thought crossed my mind. I thought to Him, Abba it must cause you such pain to lose one of your children. I can't even imagine the level of pain, multiplied by billions of lives. I then requested something of Him. I said Abba, for a brief moment I want to know
come from simple duty, but must be born out of love. Otherwise, the things we say and do are cold. Without love. This is the essence of 1 Corinthians 13. We must do more than read the Word. We must undestand it. We must internalize. It must become a part of us. In it is His heart. Through example after example He shows us His heart that we might know Him, and in knowing Him we cultivate a desire for a closer relationship with Him. Knowing His heart equates to knowing His will. We can not say we
ConsumingFire39 there are no hard feelings. We serve a loving and compassionate GOD. He is far more loving than most people realize. In His words are written His heart for all the world to see. I think many confuse knowledge of GOD with knowing GOD. The first is intellectual and keeps GOD at a distance. The second internalizes Him and makes Him a part of you. The first acknowledges Him as GOD and is obedient from duty. The second sees Him as Abba and is obedient from love. Our obedience must not
I will speak as the Spirit has given me speak. It is the watchmen's charge. So I speak. Either you will hear me or choose to dismiss what I say. My part is to be obedient to GOD, whom I love. Yours is to either hear or dismiss what I've said. Either way I've been faithful and obedient, and your blood is not on my hands.
@charlie111561 Hey, no hard feelings. I am thrilled to know that you are following the commandments of Yahweh. If you love Yahweh and are keeping his laws, that is all you can do.
@Brecconable Hi. It comes from the scriptures. Most notably Paul's words in Acts 20:26-28 and Ezekiel 3 and 33 where He refers to making Ezekiel a Watchmen. We all have scriptures that leap off the page at us, and appear to speak to us. When we are surrendered to the Holy Spirit's leading, He leads us according to GOD's will.
all perscuted and died for speaking out obedience to GOD. Love of their GOD, and love for their people. How true the words of Yeshua: Joh 15:20 Remember the word that I said to you, 'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
Joh 15:21 But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me.
Gladly will I suffer persecution for the truth....
What is not clear is how these same scriptures, can then be applied to the worship of our own GOD. We are warned to seek GOD for wisdom and understanding and not lean on our own. It saddens me that you do not see this. That rather than seek the truth, you would dismiss out hand, what I am saying. The Pharisees did this to Yeshua. They preferred their own wisdom over that of GOD's. Rather than listen to the Word of GOD, they preferred to listen to themselves. Yeshua, the prophets, the disciples.
In fact proverbs says Pro 16:32 He who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, And he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city. There are a number of scriptures concerning anger and wrath. In the scriptures, one of the attributes GOD is that He is slow to anger. It also says that we should be slow to speak. We are also taught to speak from a loving heart. The scriptures speak concerning the worship of other GOD's, idols, and the practices associated with that worship. This is clear...
ConsumingFire39. Do you read and understand the scriptures? Your responses to me have disembled into ranting and insults. You have not once used the Word to defend your position, but merely spouted insults of ignorance on my part. I know from where I speak. Do you? The scriptures, the Holy Spirit, and creation itself testify to the truth. They are my witnesses. You have but to search the Word to know if what I say is true. In fact scripture tells to test everything to see if it is from GOD......
in finding out what He wants, rather than us deciding upon our own opinions, what He wants and telling others to do what we decide. Everything we need to make an informed decision is in the Word of GOD and we have the Holy Spirit as a witness as well. This is where we should be searching for answers. This where we will come to the Truth. Reliance on anything else is a recipe for disaster. You don't have take my word for it. But you do have to take His. Ask Him.
is celebrated to commemorate the birth of our Savior. In many spanish cultures, his birth is celebrated on January 6th, known as "El dia de 3 Reyes", or in english the "The day of the 3 kings". Some spanish countries celebrate both. So is the day we celebrate Him, more important than the fact that we celebrate Him? Frankly, according scripture, GOD values some things far more than ritual. In fact, GOD states that He'd rather have these things, than the other. Shouldn't we be more interested...
It is not on the 25th. Chanukah, depending on the year sometimes overlapps Christmas. Neither Christmas or Chanukah is a GOD ordained celebration according to levitical law. But both are celebrated in remembrance of a miracle from GOD. Chanukah is celebrated to commemorate the liberation of Jews under Medo-Persian rule to worship GOD and the rededication of the temple after it had been desecrated. Also, there is story concerning the oil that continued burning for 8 days. Christmas.......
recorded in the Word. We know that sometime in the past the holiday of Christmas was born, and that "Christ" was made a part of that name. We know that pagan ideas and belief's have also been attached to this time of year also. So we have Judaic, Christian, and Pagan celebrations all associated with time of year. The argument has been made Christmas actually a celebration of the Solstice. But according to the Calendar the Solstice is on the 21st or 22nd depending on the year.....
years ago. As far as I know there are no historical records to indicate the weather for Israel 2000 years ago. So we are left with theories. We are left with our own suppositions. We can not find a scripture to confirm or deny any what is being said here. But we are to assume it is true based on science and not the Word. What we do have is that Dedication day or Chanukah, which is a day, celebrated in December was reverenced, and that Yeshua visited the temple on that day. This we have......
RebelBooster. GOD's truth is in His Word. There is very little of it in this video. As for December 25th. We don't know when Yeshua was born. The scientific view is that because it is cold during this time of year in Israel, it is not possible for Him to have been born then. Funny thing is weather is not a stable thing. I live in an area that is normally 25 degrees or lower at this time. Today, for the first time this winter it 31 degrees outside. So much for that theory. None of was born 2000..
@charlie111561 If you don't know, why are you embracing December 25th? You realize that a man designated that day, right? Even if you do not agree with why this day was chosen, (You would be completely ignorant to think this) you would be completely going against your own beliefs and logic to trust in a man's decision (Not God's) on a day to celebrate.
ConsumingFire39. Before labeling someone ignorant, know the scriptures. Understand them. Know that to apply them to an idea not defined in the scriptures is not wise. Proverbs 3:5-7 clearly states "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall diredt your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.". Understanding must come from GOD alone, and not from ourselves.
@charlie111561 I am trusting in th Lord. Trusting in the Lord would mean obeying what he said. If you embrace Pagan traditions you are not trusting the Lord.
ConsumingFire39. Before labeling someone ignorant, don't you think you should actually get to know them first? I would do you the courtesy of hearing from where your argument comes from first. To answer your question, yes I have seen the video. Have you? Have you weighed what it says carefully, considering the examples it uses? Have you searched the scriptures cited? There aren't many. Far less than the science used. Do you know the ones concerning wisdom and foolishness?
@charlie111561 It could not be more simple. Christmas and Easter are Pagan traditions and we are not supposed to celebrate Pagan traditions. If you are unable to see that is where they are rooted than I cannot even talk with you. Their are libraries of information on this.
The LORD was fond of asking questions inorder to open eyes to the truth. I will pose a question to you and, consider your answer carefully before you respond, being completely honest. When a scientist makes a discovery, other than realizing there is a GOD, who does he or she thank first? Does the scientist fall down on his or her knees thanking GOD, or does He or She congratulate themselves on their ingenuity? Answer honestly and you will see the truth and be made free.
We stand in the latter days. Do not forget Pauls words: 1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
Do not be deceived. I takes a great deal of humility to admit that we do not have all the answers. Remember that GOD resists the proud but extends grace to the humble. Science appeals to our pride, GOD reminds us to remain humble
But Our LORD did not pull punches when confronting the religous leaders of His day with the truth and neither can I if I am truly His disciple. We are admonished to test everything we see and hear against the Word of GOD to determine if it is of GOD. The Word of GOD should be the foundation of any discussion of truth and not science. The Holy Spirit will also confirm it as GOD supports His own commandment requiring TWO or More witnesses to the Truth.
You have chosen a cause which does more to undermine faith then to build faith. To take away praise rather than support it. You have chosen to fight the fight of the Atheist and the Pagan. They have fought wholeheartedly for years to remove any association between Yeshua and Christmas? Do we stand in agreement with non-believers? This alone should raise red flags in your mind. Next you chose science more than scripture on which to base your argument. Do you not see? I know my words seem harsh...
@charlie111561 You must not have watched the video. First, there is NO association between Yeshua and Christmas. Second, Truth is truth and it is not a matter of who may or may not agree with it. As long as it's God's truth, then it is what it is. The Atheist is ignorant, and just because they want to take the Christ out of Christmas makes Zero difference. Yeshua was not born on December 25th, He want's nothing to do with Pagan religious practices anyway. Duh!!!
or disprove men's ideas. But GOD is not an idea. He simply is. You have begun the journey in realizing there is a GOD. Next step is humbling yourself to realize we don't know as much as we think we do. There is many a proverb concerning wisdom and the wise. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of understanding. Key words the beginning of understanding.
It is not enough to know there is a GOD. Belief in GOD alone is not faith. It is just the first step in our walk of faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the assurance of things not seen. Science relies on what we see, while faith believes without seeing. This is the fundamental difference. Yeshua said "Lest you become like this child, you will not see the kingdom of GOD". What is the essence of a child? A child believes implicitly without seeing. Science seeks to prove.......
Still you do not understand. You do not recognize the snare the trap in your reasoning. Your right about one thing. GOD does not sterotype. He sees into the hearts of men and confronts them with what He sees. Often He uses the simple and humble to confound the prideful and wise. He will put a hook into the nose of the prideful and make them see who He is. This is the way that GOD uses Men's science. For some there is no other way to see the truth. But this only the beginning......
Now Newton is an example taken from over 100 year ago when some who turned to science were still grounded in the faith they were raised. But compare him to a modern contemporary saddly none are an Isaac Newton. Have you ever watched a movie called "Expelled"?
@charlie111561 Yes I have. I understand where you may be going with this...2 things here, 1. I have found that it's not God's way, to steryotype. 2. the ruling powers of this world are not stronger than our God and that the benefit of science will only lead men to stare directly into the face of their Creator.
I'm going to go out on a limb hear and guess you are speaking of Isaac Newton, when you refer to the park. As to the other scientists you speak of, who are they? I've known a few scientists. Most are at best agnostic? Others, like Stephen Hawking are adament atheists, though I've heard at one time he said he believed in GOD. Science, by its very nature drives a person to question rather than accept undermining Faith. The focus of your faith becomes science rather than GOD.
@charlie111561 Nicola Tesla. I don't see how science undermines faith in God. Has man not benefited from science. Is science not of God? Is it us against them? For God so love the whole world that he gave his only begotten son so none shall perish. Which came first creation or science? you can't separate them. The bible tells us to study to present ourselves approved to God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth 2 Tim 2:15
That is an interesting idea considering that many scientists are prophesed athiests and agnostics. So the very thing that causes people to question their faith in GOD you attribute to being a thing of GOD. Would this not be a case of "A house divided against itself"?
@charlie111561 prophesed? spellcheck. Science causes people to question their faith? why? If anything science shouts of God ! I know scientist who found God in their research. The world's greatest physicist made man's greatest discoveries in a revelation in an instant walking thru the park. We still have not realised it's full potential and that was over 100 years ago. Is this not of God? The man was a believer. The very means of which we are communicating has it's roots in that discovery.
on Mans wisdom and not GOD's should stir us all to dig deeper to the determine the truth. To search the scriptures as the Bereans did and to seek the LORD's Spirit to lead us to the truth.
There are countless places in scripture depicting the overlaying of objects made from wood and worshiped with silver an gold. To take GOD's word and apply it to something totally unrelated does not speak of a desire to know truth. The truth is found in GOD's word. Not in the secular world. Not in mans perception, but in GOD's revelation. Science is of Man its facts are derived from Man. The Word is from GOD and its facts are from GOD. Anything being passed on as GOD's truth that makes it case
Hi Charlie,This is a popular misconception" Science is of Man " Science is in fact of God,The great designer and creator of the universe. the same God who can baffle man's interpretation of quantum mechanics with a simple thing like photosynthesis. Most inventors/ discoveries were from Christian people with revelations from God. Your premise is flawed.
I have watched this video. it presents a scientific view based on one view of an archeological record. It poses many assumptions based on secular views and not scriptural. The one connection it attempts to make with scripture is a verse from Jeremiah 10 taken totally out of context which is dangerous for any believer to do. Jeremiah 10 talks about the taking of wood and fashioning of an idol from that wood then overlaying it with silver and gold,
True, I have some history books that would make this guy a liar. I also have text books on anthropology , archaeology, physics etc. etc that would challenge the greatest mind of to-day on how the writers arrived to their conclusions. I could virtually " prove" or "disprove" practically anything. In light of the "Big Picture", presented by Jim Staley, our reality / christianity has been counterfeited by pagan practices. Jim is challenging our "Absolute" world views.
I hope people are studying this for themselves and not just taking this guys word for everything. I have researched some of this and he is not even close to what history teaches.
@77scooterman Seriously???? You can google most of this and come up with some of the same things. I had to study it because I taught this last year at my Church and I did not just use google. But yes, people should study for themselves, that is wrong with "church" folk they let a preacher spoon feed them whatever and never study for themselves or question and worst yet don't know the Word of YHVH either.
@VindinBinDwinjy I think it would help you if you would do your own research. The majority of this I already new about except he went into more detail about the whole Santa thing that I did not know about. These things are true, there is more paganism in our society and culture, religious and secular than you know. If you are a seeker of truth then this should make you look for yourself, don't take his word or mine do your own research.
@VindinBinDwinjy Do some historical research of your own. It will take you all of 5 minutes to understand how deeply rooted they are in pagan traditions.
Yes, John 10 mentions the Festival of Lights (Hanukkah), & that Yeshua went to the temple, but it doesn't say he observed Hanukkah. Why would Yeshua celebrate a revolt against Gentiles (Greeks) when we know Gentiles enter his "flock" under the new covenant too? Aside from that, I really enjoyed this video. Fav'd for sure.
@poke089 hi there i don't think you heard the explanation he gave at the end of the video. is at about 10 min before the video ends...Yeshua bless you
@poke089 anytime a Feast Day is mentioned and Yeshua goes to the Temple he is celebrating that Feast Day as he followed all the Jewish Laws of that time, Do you really know what the Festival of Lights is about? It is to commemorate the cleansing of the Temple after one of the pagen rulers Antiochus Epiphanes defiled the temple by sacrificing a "PIG" on the Altar that is dedicated to YHVH my Elohim! I would celebrate that too and I am not Jewish!
Yeshua attended the second temple dedication in Adar, which is in winter.
Ezr 6:15-16 And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, ... And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy,
Joh 10:22-23 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter. And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
The question then becomes how far will we go? Where does it stop? Does Purim and Channukah become the next targets? Do we become like the Puritans who on the testimony of two little girls, start suspecting everyone and everything? The Disciples implore us to test everything to see if it is of GOD. Messiah warns us that "by their fruits you shall know them". If any work produces fruit not of the Holy Spirit, from Paul we know what this fruit should be, then that brothers and Sisters avoid.
For years Atheists and Pagans have fought to remove any association between Messiah and Christmas. Going so far to rename the holiday "X-Mas" or simply "Happy Holiday". The questions we should ask ourselves is why? And why are we helping them to do just that? This trend started with Halloween, which I am totally in agreement with removing. Then Easter, and Christmas. Where Halloween is a sinister holiday steeped in pagan beliefs, other holidays for believers are not.
@charlie111561 Your comments are just awful. Did you actually watch the video? Christmas and Easter ARE steeped in pagan beliefs. Saying otherwise is complete ignorance.
MavMin. An interesting point. But we are admonished not to Lean on our own understanding but to trust in GOD. Whatever ideas we may have they must line up with GOD's word. We can neither add or nor take away from that. We have clearly defined things to stay away from in scripture. The things that GOD clearly does not want us to do. This and His spirit should be our guide on how to live. Not our own ideas. And one thing we should never be is in aggreement with Unbelievers.
Quoting Spurgeon was excellent for I have a lot of friends that call him the Prince of Preachers and he is their hero so when they call me nuts I will tell them I am in good company!
Very interesting! By no means say that we go back to being under law, but if we are to be people of truth should we not then seek to have our holidays be full of truth and do things honoring to God instead of mingling truth and error? Wouldn't it be great since we believe the day of the Lord is near to make 12 the year we took out the trash and returned to a pure Christianity? It means that we would have to look at a lot of our traditions and trash them not just the ones he mentions.
@j212jh The Law is righteous, but it is also an old bottle that the new wine cannot be poured into. I am studying. I am not called Maverick by my peers for no reason. We have to be sure that we are balanced. While many Church members abuse grace I do not want to swing to a path of legalism. I feel the need for Messianic Jews to be into their culture as they feel they have been ostracized from Christianity for so long that they want to be the new broom, but caution must be used.
@MavMin Legalism is a term used2 dismiss the importance of obedience. If "legalism" were 2b used in the Bible, it would probably describe the outward appearance of obedience while the heart isn't, as 'don't kill' while harboring hate, or not physically committing adultery while lusting. Jesus preached on this immediately after saying the law is not abolished in Mt 5:17
@MavMin Please watch Identity Crisis by this same Jim Staley. Even as a well-read believer, I promise you will learn many things. Please comment back after you have watched the video in it's entirety.
@j212jh FYI, I am looking for a Messianic church near me so I can learn more and you will find my poetry on the Messianic Literary Corner and I posted this on my FB account and caught flack because of the terse handling of Catholicism in the flick. I reminded the person that since Jews (and Baptists) were persecuted for centuries by the RCs it is reasonable to expect terse language. Shalom!
@MavMin Be careful of Messianic churches to learn from. God reveals to you personally. This was part of His new covenant. Jer 31:33-34...And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more. Shalom to you as well.
@MavMin No, we sure don't want to say that obedience to God's commandments is sin. God forbid!
1Co 7:19 Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God.
1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
When we bash the law as bad, using Paul's teachings, do we dare define EXACTLY what the "law" is? We all need 2b students ourselves and leave church rhetoric behind.
Brother. This saddens me. There are some things you are not taking into account. Presenting evidence based in Man's wisdom, and not GOD's will most certainly lead to error. The Archeological record is a human construct founded and supported by human suppositions. There is a reason why Ps. 118:8 is the very center of the scriptures.
Hi Jim. You speak about how we will receive the spiritual gifts of the early church when we embrace the true Hebraic roots of the faith, but then why are they not being manifested in your church? I agree with about 95% of what you said in this video by the way, but I'm interested in where you think you are still lacking in order to receive the full blessings of the Father. Shalom in Yeshua.
@stuartalive And what can you say about the Gentile Churches in the 1st Century who manifested the gifts and Paul and the Jerusalem Council said they did not have to embrace their Jewish roots but only to flee fornication, idols, things strangled and blood.
@MavMin those four commandments were just a foundation to keep new converts away from pagan religion. The next verse (21) shows that the council still expected the converts to hear and practice the Torah (law), only without the system of sacrifices (the law of Moses) that was done away with in Christ. As such, circumcision was replaced by baptism, symbolising a covenant entered into through Yeshua's death. As an aside, Xmas and Easter contain idols, so these should be shunned simply on verse 20.
Point being: If you take Christ out of Christmas (where He never was to begin with) all you are left with are pagan traditions of men. That is why so many do not want Christ taken out of Christmas, because they do not want to let go of the pagan traditions.
Christmas and Easter just feed the flesh, exactly what we are to deny in a true Christian walk.
@rjonesfullhouse You start Incarnation Day on the 4th Saturday of September or if you like do the Fri at 6PM mode and have it as a high Sabbath if you like. You meet either Friday night or Saturday morning for a meal and to plan what you will do for Jesus/Yeshua that day from 8-5 on Saturday since Friday will be too late to do much. You go to the jails, the rescue missions, nursing homes and maybe have some names of people who need their grass cut. You do evangelism.
@MavMin You give gifts of love an service to Him since it is His birthday. You come back to church for a supper and testimony time and a special offering for missions or the poor or whatever you deem appropriate. Then you have a Lord's Supper like they did back then, sing a hymn and go out. That is how you celebrate a day He never command us to do anyway if you feel the need. You celebrate the resurrection on PASSOVER! He is our Passover lamb not the Easter lamb.
It's not hearsay... want me to get you some quotes from the ante-Nicene church? I can fine detailed quotes by Tertullian describing the Roman Saturnalia and Winter Solstice, all inclusive of covering your homes with lanterns and laurel wreaths. The early church rebuked the wicked holidays of the Romans and other pagans... your "truth" finds its roots in lies. Your sincerity is in vain friend, look this stuff up--he's not telling you empty words in the video.
You're like the 8 year old kid who sticks his fingers in his ears, closes his eyes and says "la la la la la" Willfull ignorance will not excuse you, the fact that you have knowledge of it's origins means you should do something about it. God never tolerated His people celebrating pagan celebrations, and since God is the same always---He doesn't today. "not a calendar day"---have you read Revelation? When the two witnesses are slayed, will you take part in the holiday the world makes?
@droptozro Thou shalt not judge, keep that in mind. For the record, I do not celebrate a pagan holiday. For me, that does not exist. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ. My motives are clear and God knows my heart. I don't celebrate paganism, I celebrate Christ. There is a huge difference and if you can't see it, or choose not to, that's perfectly fine with me but I will not adjust my beliefs because YOU or any other PERSON says so. I follow Christ not humanity's interpretations
@ev1us as far as i can see, you are not following Christ, your following your self and your traditions... have you ever visited Jerusalem on winter season? because if you do,, you will find out that there will be no shepperds out there on that season, so December is not the real birthdate of Jesus Christ, the Bible doesn't even tell us what month or day, there is no 3 kings visiting the baby Jesus on Betlehem, just wise men, we don't know how many of them. The Bible not say anything
lol... read your Bible more please, it's Matthew 7:1... THRU verse 5. And it's "Judge not lest ye be judged" Meaning by the same standard we use we will be judged. I don't take part in these festivities, so I can judge by that standard. You are sticking your fingers in your ears and trying to redefine things to your way---you are the "human interpretation" you're following. God told the Israelites they couldn't worship THEIR way, read it?
@droptozro Try reading Luke 6:37 and maybe it help you overcome your ignorance. That's the last I have to say on this subject. I've said my peace and there is nothing more to be gained here. Take care. :)
@droptozro I do want to thank you. I want to thank you for further grounding me in my opinion and encouraging me in speaking out on an important issue. It's arrogant and self-righteous "Christians" that is causing more damage to the faith then any outside source ever could.
Actually it's hypocrites and professing Christians who continue in sin rather than lives of holiness and obedience to God that are causing the damage. I go out preaching quite often, false teaching and hypocritical living abounds. It's sad, when we go preach--those who cause the biggest issues are the false Christians and backsliders. They rile up crowds, defend their sin, and curse us out most of the time. The same is alike on this website. Hope that's not you though, God bless.
@droptozro If only I had a mirror for you when you said that. You have attacked my intelligence, my faith in God and my beliefs. I fail to see how that is in anyway Christian or Christ-Like. I will be man enough to say I may have done the same and I do apologize but what I want to point out to you here is you are in no way better than I and I am in no way better than you.
You said "thou shalt not judge" as if it's one of the 10 commandments... I hear that from unbelievers, so yes I will question your knowledge on the Scriptures. I'm just telling you my experience, I don't know you personally. You have not exhibited any sin nor have I judged you on any manner of sin---I just want you to open your eyes and come out from among the unclean celebrations. This is just a loving exhortation friend, ponder on it please. I am in no way "better" than you.
@droptozro I get your point but I also want to reiterate mine. How you came across, your attitude if you will, did nothing to help convince me of your point of view. The feeling I got from your comments were arrogant and holier-than-thou and only convinced me of my position. There is more to a message than just the words; the delivery is also important. Your last message was a lot better and more clearer however, so I hope you understand what I am saying.
@ev1us Good to see your are satisfied with the status quo.. steady she goes right ? I would guess you have no vested interest in the out come of humanity. Take care .
I don't mean to be rude but how old are you? This may seem to be abstract thinking to you but you seem satisfied with the status quo and anything that challenges that has to be answered with ad hominem and not content . Just saying . Take care
@henrinaths1 I am not as you say "satisfied with the status quo." I simply wish to be left to my own beliefs and not be ridiculed for choosing to believe in Christmas. You may not and that's fine. Let me do the same, otherwise, we do have a problem.
@ev1us You sometimes have to swallow your pride and do what is right. If you know that God hates pagan traditions and that Christmas is rooted in pagan traditions, you have a pretty simple decision to make. Sometimes you have to make big changes and not be worried about how your family/friends/peers will judge you for it.
@ev1us Ok, That's fine. Doesn't make me a "douche" though. Just makes your opinion invalid in my mind, just as mine is to you. Try talking to others like an adult. Then maybe one day someone will listen to you.
@jrbowen81 I was speaking to you as an adult. You had the audacity to insult me so I returned to favor. Tit for tat as they say. Are we passed that phase of this discussion or shall we continue?
@ev1us You were insulting other people here before I came along. The problem is, your "opinion" means nothing. Neither does mine. Nor does anyone else's. That's where we all go wrong. Instead of seeing God's Word as absolute truth, we insert our own "opinions" and do what is right in our own eyes. Saying you don't care about the past is like saying that you don't care what God, who NEVER changes, thought about it. I don't care about winning any debates or arguments.
@jrbowen81 Oh I do believe it's absolute truth but I also believe that things change with the times. For instance, we no longer stone our children for misbehaving nor do we partake in slavery or sacrificing animals. We need to be able to discern what was written for the times and what was written for our lives.
@ev1us True, Yeshua (Jesus) took the death penalty for our sins, and He took care of the sacrificial system, being the ultimate atoning sacrifice Himself. I'll admit, I'm unsure of what exactly changed with the slavery issue though. But this widespread idea we've been taught for the last 1800 years that the Torah and the Prophets were done away with... I'm just gonna say it. I believe that's a lie from the pit of Hell, and everyone teaching that doctrine will absolutely pay for it.
@jrbowen81 1John 3:4-6- Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
I'm not directing this at you, just quoting the verse, and I do feel that I should apologize for my arrogance earlier. I pray that we can all find the truth outside of our opinions.
are you "absolute " in your understanding of your beliefs, or is there room for reviews? revisions? I understand you to be human, correct? just saying, only God is absolute.
Mentioning the feast of dedication just points to the time of the year it was when Messiah was teaching at the temple which He did throughout the year.
First he said Tammuz is Cupid, then he said Nimrod is Cupid; and lastly he said
in the east cupid is known as Zoroaster which means seed of Easter. But wouldn't this confirm that Tammuz is Cupid? Since Tammuz is the seed of Semiramis and Nimrod?
Starting with the anti-Christ, Calvin, is NOT a great way to convince people you're about to speak truth. Total fail. I hope the rest of the video gets better from here on out.
I’m a Christian and I do not celebrate Christmas. How do you deal with your family at this time? My family gets so angry when I say I will not come to there Christmas day lunch. Shalom Nicole
Simple Logic for me.....revaluation if you will....does the world embrace Jesus? NO....DOES the world embrace CHRISTMAS and EASTER YES......how can we say christ is in it if they reject him but embrace something that can not be of him?
I am going to share this with every one I know. Thank you for sharing such wonderful information. May YHWH help us all see the truth from the Lies we have all been fead.
@phillozoph50 One day we will all stand before YHWH and we will all give account for what we do. I pray that you will repent before that day. May God remove your blindness. By the way if you are going to use bad words please do not respond. Thank you.
@phillozoph50 One thing I find fascinating is how none believers always think people who believe in God think we are ignorant, old fashioned, or just plain dumb. Some of the most intelligent people I know are Bible scholars. There beliefs are not tantamount to lack of intelligence regardless of what you might think. Your diagnosis is inaccurate.
@livegorgeouslygreen This debate would be loooong and fruitless.Believers in ANY personal God are just selfish scared KIDS which never grow up from childish fairytales. And this means there is something wrong with their brain and therefore personality. So,I'm ending this conversation here.See you in hell, because remember, you with your religion have a multiple chances to pick up wrong one:)Your religion is just ANOTHER ONLY RIGHT religion.
@livegorgeouslygreen To a person like phillozoph50 many things are pointless except for the top of his/her head.
Intellectualism is a security blanket for those who are too insecure to admit they are insecure.
Bear in mind, secular humanists believe they came from rocks that dissolved into a goo which harbored enough bacteria to form a one celled creature and over millions and millions of years eventually came out of the ocean to slither around on their belly.
@truthdefender54 lol yeah cause a theory based on evidence and observation is totally delusional. at least what you call "secular humanists beliefs" brings something to the table. While on the other hand people take the bible like it's proof in itself. The burden of proof is on those who make the claim god is real/bible is right. it is not up to everyone else to disprove it for it to be wrong. what can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence
@truthdefender54 ^Fail attempt to slander athiests i may not be one but atleast i know the facts obviously you spout without knowledge beforehand and you expect athiests to listen to you and your ignorance
Shlom haMashiach! Wow, interesting video. For those wanting to dig into the Hebrew roots of Christianity, I also recommend Dr. Feingold's free lecture series "Mystery of Israel and the Church" j.mp / IsraelAndTheChurch ...if you click on a series' title you'll go to a page where you can download the MP3s. The cool thing is, like Passion for Truth Ministries, who produced this video, the home of the lectures is here in Saint Louis, where they're given almost weekly. Hope to see some of you there!
Being that this person presenting this video knows all this information, does he still claim to be a "christian"? Christianity is laced with lies. YHWH and Yeshua are truth, not lies. Keep the torah and the faith of Yeshua!
@thegreatecb Watch more of his videos and you will find out what he believes. You will also find we call ourselves Hebrew Roots. We "keep" Torah but also believe in Yashua, the HaMassiach
@theladyj49 ...amen to keeping the commandments of Elohim and the faith of Yeshua. However, i dont know who the "hebrew roots" are? Do they believe saul/pauls false gospel? If I remember correctly i think i heard him on this video quoting saul/paul at the end?
@thegreatecb You should listen to some Bill Cloud or Brad Scott teachings, I think you will find a different take on Saul/Paul. Most people interpret Saul differently than Hebrew Roots. As for calling ourselves Christian, NO we call ourselves Hebrew Roots, meaning we follow Torah and believe Yashua is the HaMashiach. If you check the Passion For Truth Channel you will find many more teachings. Also check out Bill Cloud on Yah-Tube.com, but not all there are Hebrew Roots teachers.
Praise Yeshua thank you for sharing the truth PFT (^_^)

Brecconable 1 week ago in playlist Horizon 3

None of was born 2000..
charlie111561 2 weeks ago
@charlie111561 If you don't know, why are you embracing December 25th? You realize that a man designated that day, right? Even if you do not agree with why this day was chosen, (You would be completely ignorant to think this) you would be completely going against your own beliefs and logic to trust in a man's decision (Not God's) on a day to celebrate.
ConsumingFire39 2 weeks ago
ConsumingFire39. Before labeling someone ignorant, know the scriptures. Understand them. Know that to apply them to an idea not defined in the scriptures is not wise. Proverbs 3:5-7 clearly states "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall diredt your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil.". Understanding must come from GOD alone, and not from ourselves.

ConsumingFire39. Before labeling someone ignorant, don't you think you should actually get to know them first? I would do you the courtesy of hearing from where your argument comes from first.

Science appeals to our pride, GOD reminds us to remain humble
charlie111561 1 month ago

I know my words seem harsh...
charlie111561 1 month ago

Science seeks to prove.......
charlie111561 1 month ago

Have you ever watched a movie called "Expelled"?
charlie111561 1 month ago
@charlie111561 Yes I have. I understand where you may be going with this...2 things here, 1. I have found that it's not God's way, to steryotype. 2. the ruling powers of this world are not stronger than our God and that the benefit of science will only lead men to stare directly into the face of their Creator.
henrinaths1 1 month ago
I'm going to go out on a limb hear and guess you are speaking of Isaac Newton, when you refer to the park. As to the other scientists you speak of, who are they? I've known a few scientists. Most are at best agnostic? Others, like Stephen Hawking are adament atheists, though I've heard at one time he said he believed in GOD. Science, by its very nature drives a person to question rather than accept undermining Faith. The focus of your faith becomes science rather than GOD.
charlie111561 1 month ago
@charlie111561 Nicola Tesla. I don't see how science undermines faith in God. Has man not benefited from science. Is science not of God? Is it us against them? For God so love the whole world that he gave his only begotten son so none shall perish. Which came first creation or science? you can't separate them. The bible tells us to study to present ourselves approved to God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth 2 Tim 2:15

@charlie111561 Questioning and doubt are not always the same thing.

That is an interesting idea considering that many scientists are prophesed athiests and agnostics. So the very thing that causes people to question their faith in GOD you attribute to being a thing of GOD. Would this not be a case of "A house divided against itself"?
charlie111561 1 month ago
@charlie111561 prophesed? spellcheck. Science causes people to question their faith? why? If anything science shouts of God ! I know scientist who found God in their research. The world's greatest physicist made man's greatest discoveries in a revelation in an instant walking thru the park. We still have not realised it's full potential and that was over 100 years ago. Is this not of God? The man was a believer. The very means of which we are communicating has it's roots in that discovery.

I also have text books on anthropology , archaeology, physics etc. etc that would challenge the greatest mind of to-day on how the writers arrived to their conclusions. Yes, John 10 mentions the Festival of Lights (Hanukkah), & that Yeshua went to the temple, but it doesn't say he observed Hanukkah. @poke089 anytime a Feast Day is mentioned and Yeshua goes to the Temple he is celebrating that Feast Day as he followed all the Jewish Laws of that time, Do you really know what the Festival of Lights is about? The question then becomes how far will we go? Where does it stop? Does Purim and Channukah become the next targets? Do we become like the Puritans who on the testimony of two little girls, start suspecting everyone and everything? The Disciples implore us to test everything to see if it is of GOD. Messiah warns us that "by their fruits you shall know them". If any work produces fruit not of the Holy Spirit, from Paul we know what this fruit should be, then that brothers and Sisters avoid.
charlie111561 1 month ago
For years Atheists and Pagans have fought to remove any association between Messiah and Christmas. Going so far to rename the holiday "X-Mas" or simply "Happy Holiday". The questions we should ask ourselves is why? And why are we helping them to do just that? This trend started with Halloween, which I am totally in agreement with removing. Then Easter, and Christmas. Where Halloween is a sinister holiday steeped in pagan beliefs, other holidays for believers are not.

We can neither add or nor take away from that. We have clearly defined things to stay away from in scripture. The things that GOD clearly does not want us to do. This and His spirit should be our guide on how to live. Not our own ideas. And one thing we should never be is in aggreement with Unbelievers.

MavMin 1 month ago
@MavMin Legalism is a term used2 dismiss the importance of obedience. If "legalism" were 2b used in the Bible, it would probably describe the outward appearance of obedience while the heart isn't, as 'don't kill' while harboring hate, or not physically committing adultery while lusting. Jesus preached on this immediately after saying the law is not abolished in Mt 5:17

Shalom!
MavMin 1 month ago

Shalom in Yeshua.
stuartalive 2 months ago
@stuartalive And what can you say about the Gentile Churches in the 1st Century who manifested the gifts and Paul and the Jerusalem Council said they did not have to embrace their Jewish roots but only to flee fornication, idols, things strangled and blood.
MavMin 1 month ago
@MavMin those four commandments were just a foundation to keep new converts away from pagan religion. The next verse (21) shows that the council still expected the converts to hear and practice the Torah (law), only without the system of sacrifices (the law of Moses) that was done away with in Christ. As such, circumcision was replaced by baptism, symbolising a covenant entered into through Yeshua's death. As an aside, Xmas and Easter contain idols, so these should be shunned simply on verse 20.
stuartalive 1 month ago

MavMin 1 month ago
@MavMin You give gifts of love an service to Him since it is His birthday. You come back to church for a supper and testimony time and a special offering for missions or the poor or whatever you deem appropriate. Then you have a Lord's Supper like they did back then, sing a hymn and go out. That is how you celebrate a day He never command us to do anyway if you feel the need. You celebrate the resurrection on PASSOVER! He is our Passover lamb not the Easter lamb.

When the two witnesses are slayed, will you take part in the holiday the world makes?
droptozro 2 months ago
@droptozro Thou shalt not judge, keep that in mind. For the record, I do not celebrate a pagan holiday. For me, that does not exist. Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Christ. My motives are clear and God knows my heart. I don't celebrate paganism, I celebrate Christ. There is a huge difference and if you can't see it, or choose not to, that's perfectly fine with me but I will not adjust my beliefs because YOU or any other PERSON says so. I follow Christ not humanity's interpretations
ev1us 2 months ago
@ev1us as far as i can see, you are not following Christ, your following your self and your traditions... have you ever visited Jerusalem on winter season? because if you do,, you will find out that there will be no shepperds out there on that season, so December is not the real birthdate of Jesus Christ, the Bible doesn't even tell us what month or day, there is no 3 kings visiting the baby Jesus on Betlehem, just wise men, we don't know how many of them. "thou shalt not judge, keep that in mind"
lol... read your Bible more please, it's Matthew 7:1...

@droptozro I do want to thank you. I want to thank you for further grounding me in my opinion and encouraging me in speaking out on an important issue. It's arrogant and self-righteous "Christians" that is causing more damage to the faith then any outside source ever could.
ev1us 1 month ago
@ev1us
Actually it's hypocrites and professing Christians who continue in sin rather than lives of holiness and obedience to God that are causing the damage.

I am in no way "better" than you.
droptozro 1 month ago
@droptozro I get your point but I also want to reiterate mine. How you came across, your attitude if you will, did nothing to help convince me of your point of view. Your last message was a lot better and more clearer however, so I hope you understand what I am saying.

jrbowen81 1 month ago
@jrbowen81 I was speaking to you as an adult. You had the audacity to insult me so I returned to favor. Tit for tat as they say. Are we passed that phase of this discussion or shall we continue?
ev1us 1 month ago
@ev1us You were insulting other people here before I came along. The problem is, your "opinion" means nothing. Neither does mine. Nor does anyone else's. That's where we all go wrong. Instead of seeing God's Word as absolute truth, we insert our own "opinions" and do what is right in our own eyes. Saying you don't care about the past is like saying that you don't care what God, who NEVER changes, thought about it. I don't care about winning any debates or arguments.
jrbowen81 1 month ago
@jrbowen81 Oh I do believe it's absolute truth but I also believe that things change with the times. For instance, we no longer stone our children for misbehaving nor do we partake in slavery or sacrificing animals. We need to be able to discern what was written for the times and what was written for our lives.
ev1us 1 month ago
@ev1us True, Yeshua (Jesus) took the death penalty for our sins, and He took care of the sacrificial system, being the ultimate atoning sacrifice Himself. I'll admit, I'm unsure of what exactly changed with the slavery issue though. But this widespread idea we've been taught for the last 1800 years that the Torah and the Prophets were done away with... I'm just gonna say it. I believe that's a lie from the pit of Hell, and everyone teaching that doctrine will absolutely pay for it.
jrbowen81 1 month ago
@jrbowen81 1John 3:4-6- Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
I'm not directing this at you, just quoting the verse, and I do feel that I should apologize for my arrogance earlier. I pray that we can all find the truth outside of our opinions.
jrbowen81 1 month ago
@ev1us
are you "absolute " in your understanding of your beliefs, or is there room for reviews? revisions? I understand you to be human, correct? just saying, only God is absolute.

Intellectualism is a security blanket for those who are too insecure to admit they are insecure.

While on the other hand people take the bible like it's proof in itself. The burden of proof is on those who make the claim god is real/bible is right. it is not up to everyone else to disprove it for it to be wrong. what can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence
