  • So she thinks looking at her childhood will benefit her? Why? It's her beliefs she needs to examine. What an archaic joke...this isn't Freud in the 1800's!

  • Holla! Have you tried anxiety zero technique (It is at anxiety0.info)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my father pretty much cured anxiety with it.

  • Does counseling help to get past eally bad shyness?

  • @AbbieD98 : it can help, yes -- it usually helps to talk to someone about issues you're having.

    Hi Abbie

Counselling/psychotherapy provides a space for growth - some prefer the term personal development.

Whatever you wish to discuss with your therapist can lead to new understanding - anything.

Make sure you find the right therapist for you - try a few before deciding upon one.

It will be a very enriching experience, if difficult at times.

Oh yes...I have never known "bad" shyness. You could be very shy - but as long as it does not lead to acts of evil, you are probably shy.

  • This is one of the worst counselling sessions I have seen in my life! The man greets her as if she has just walked in to McDonalds!!!

  • @jessievz Nothing unusual about that. What do you expect??

  • you forgot to mention confidentiality !

  • They were reading off of scripts. This is not real

  • Poor woman. I have much compassion for her.

  • 'it's a pleasure to meet you??' -

  • good use of eye contact, showing empathy and using good open questions... very good
