Heavens to Murgatroid! Notice how everyone...including the audience, are dressed up for the show. People cared more about their appearences then. Not that what's "inside us" isn't even more important! Just a very interesting aspect of the way it was back then. Elizabeth was so beautiful & charming...and Jim was a gifted comedic actor. Talent like theirs is rare...and of course the late great Alan Luddeen was one of the best TV game hosts. THANKS for posting this delightful clip! :-)
@JubalCalif Indeed, and no Blacks or Hispanics were invited!! Beautiful, charming and racists...I hope you disagree with me, and tell me during those times, the white society was not racist at all. I like lies also, it makes me feel unreal...
Huh? I make a comment about how talented these actors were & how lovely Ms Montgomery was and how well dressed the audience is. And you go into a tirade about racism? What does one thing have to do with the other? Yes, there was racism back then. There will always be racism. That's because stupidity & ignorance will always be with us. And not all racists are white. I have personally known Asian, Black & Hispanic people who hate people of other races. No race is perfect.
@JubalCalif you said it stupidity and ignorance; one thing really had to do with the other one; I said white were racist during that time, and now? Now, the new generations have learned how to hate each other thanks for the whole brutality; this show represents that other colors were not welcome, and we were not charming enough because of our color. While White Americans were watching this shows many Japanese were dying in concentration camps, and blacks could not sit on the bus.
@jcfbell3001 I agree and racism, how many African American or Hispanics were invited to these types o shows? The ordinary white society... classy and clasist...
Do you know if Liz Montgomery continue doing works on tv or movies nowadays?Few years ago I used to watched "Bewitched" on tv...but never saw her again in other tv programmes...
@LhalaluvzJanet ...well thank´s for answering...i knew that sad notice few days ago in another video here on youtube. Elizabeth was a very good actress and nice person!!!

Thank God these tapes weren't erased or used over like the first decade of the Tonight Show" with Johnny Carson. So many priceless moments lost.
